12/31/2009	Happy New Years Eve! We went to the Squeakel today and it was really funny - I giggled the whole movie. We came home for lunch and then played school. I told Mommy I am going to ask Santa for a SMARTboard next year! Daddy made supper tonight and then we played the Wii and watched tv. Mommy found an episode of the Three Stooges on so we watched that and thought it was quite strange that people thought hitting each other was funny. Daddy went to bed around 10 and I followed around 10:30. Mommy and Callie stayed up until the ball dropped at 11 and when Mommy said Happy New Year (very tired like) Callie told her that this is NOT how New Years is supposed to be. We should have been turning our noisemakers, popping fireworks, and screaming and dancing. Maybe next year. . .
12/30/2009	Mommy and Daddy picked us up at 10 this morning and we told them all about the fun things we did. We came home and petted Shelby and then played the Wii. Mommy made us lunch and then Callie and Daddy went shopping for awhile. He had promised Callie they would have a date night at the Brazilion Restaurant so they decided tonight would be the best night for that. Mommy and I ate at Camilles instead and then I was asleep by 6:30 since I had been so tired from our sleepover. Mommy and Callie stayed up and worked on scrapbooking!
12/29/2009	We were very excited for today to go by quickly because were both invited to sleep over at Lauren and Avery's house tonight. Mommy took Shelby into the vet because she hasn't been acting like herself lately and she is losing weight just like Haley did. She came back later and was crying. I guess Shelby is pretty sick and although they know what it is (unlike with Haley) there is still not a whole lot they can do. I told Mommy I hadn't ever seen her cry so much before and I kept getting her kleenex to make her feel better (and then I kept staring at her like I was trying to figure something out). Five o clock finally came so Daddy and Mommy took us over to their house OH I almost forgot we did go get our H1N1 shots today too and we lucked out because all four of us qualified for the mist instead so no real shots this time - yippee!
12/28/2009	Callie and I have been sleeping in until 8 lately which amazes Mommy! Of course we haven't been getting to bed until 9 so that is why I guess. Today we stayed home while Mommy and Daddy ran the truck into the shop to get new tires and they ran a couple of errands too. We were playing nicely when they got home. After supper, Daddy left to go to a movie with Jason so Mommy put us to bed earlier tonight so she could have a scrapbook evening to herself and she finally tried out her new cricut and LOVES it!
12/27/2009	It was snowing out again this morning so we decided against Aberdeen. However by lunch it had cleared up and was even sunny so we went sledding! We met Jason and Abby and had lots of fun. Mommy and I went down together quite a few times and once we flew off our sled and landed in a snowpile but I didn't cry, although it kind of hurt. We played the Wii when we got home and after supper.
12/26/2009	Well we were hoping to get to Aberdeen today but the interstates are still closed. We went to Caribou to get Mommy coffee but they weren't open yet either so she had to have Starbucks instead. We played outside again for almost two hours and then Daddy called us in for a late lunch! After that we played inside with all our new things. Mommy made us a nice Christmas dinner since we have been trying to eat leftovers before that. OH and I forgot Daddy took me to Target today so I could buy a horse for my American Girl with my Christmas money while Callie stayed home with Mommy to play on her new pottery wheel!
12/25/2009	We actually slept until after 7! Callie slept in my room because I was a little scared about Santa coming to the house but I woke up before her. Of course I made enough noise to wake her up soon after I got up so then we all went downstairs. Callie was very happy that she got the pottery wheel she wanted. I got a zhu zhu pet AND a dog that walks, both things I asked for!! Callie also got a zhu zhu pet so now they can be friends. Our stockings had socks, candy, markers, and a webkinz in them too! We played for awhile and then when Daddy went out to snowblow, we went out to play. We had TONS of snow from overnight so it was fun to walk through the tall drifts and sled down some hills. Mommy even pushed us in our sleds down the driveway. Miley came out and played in the drifts too - Daddy threw a ball for her once he finished snowblowing (she hid in the truck until he was done - she does NOT like the snowblower!). We had lunch and played all afternoon. Our pets gave us the new Wii Resort Game so we played that and with our toys. Callie did a craft and was hoping to do her pottery wheel but it ended up getting late way too fast. We ate supper and then watched a Christmas movie before going to bed.
12/24/2009	Merry Christmas! I was very excited to put on my Christmas dress right away. Daddy and Callie ran an errand this morning but Mommy and I played the Wii. We ate lunch at Red Lobster like we usually do on Christmas Eve and then we were going to go to church at 3 but I was crabby so Mommy made me nap with Daddy. Callie and Mommy made some dips, wraps, and cut up cheese to get ready for tonight while we slept. They woke us up a little before 5 so we could go to the 5:30 service. It was really snowing out so Daddy drove us there. During the children's sermon they showed a picture Callie drew in Sunday school and read what she wrote about it (about how God is with her when she ice skates and he protects her from getting hurt too badly) and we didn't even know they were going to do it so that was neat! We came home afterwards and I couldn't wait to open presents. I was very hyper and just wanted to rush to the next one and the next one while Mommy and Callie kept wanting to have snacks and drink wine (Callie and I had kid wine!). I got a MP3 player, a sleeping bag for my American Girl, a webkinz, books, and many other things. Callie was excited to get a perfume making kit, books, and other crafts. She is really hoping Santa brings her a pottery wheel and told Mommy it will be a dream come true if he does. We left cookies out for Santa and went to bed around 10.
12/23/2009	Callie and I woke up at 6:30 and started whispering and giggling. And since we were sleeping on the floor in Mommy and Daddy's room, we woke them up too. It was still pretty nice out this morning so Mommy walked Miley before it changed and Daddy ran some errands, including going to his work to pick up a few things only to find out they apparently closed early because everyone was gone! We made more cut out cookies with Mommy since ours are gone already and she had lots of frosting left. Then we played for awhile until our neighbor, Jackie, came over and brought presents. We gave her one too and after she left we played some more. It was snowing on and off all day but so far it doesn't seem like a blizzard or anything spectacular. After supper we drove around a bit more to look at some Christmas lights since last night we mostly just saw the Falls and Downtown. And then FINALLY Mommy let us open our one present - a tiny luggage set for our American Girls. We had to play airplane after that and then we played the Wii until bedtime. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve - yippee!
12/22/2009	Our last day of school for the year - yippee!! Daddy came and ate lunch with us so that was fun. He and Callie ate hot lunch but I had my cold lunch of course. He and Mommy stocked up at the grocery store today because it sounds like we might get a BIG blizzard and not be able to go to Aberdeen. Then they came to help at our Christmas parties. Well Mommy had to coordinate my party so Daddy just took pictures of both of ours. We decorated and ate cookies and played games while Callie had pizza and pop while she played bingo! They had their party in the gym so all the fourth graders could be together. After school we went to the Children's Inn so we could donate all the tie blankets and birthday bags our Girl Scout troops had donated and then we went to the Humane Society to donate cat food because they were running low. We played with all the kitties - they had so many and I fell in love with one of course and didn't want to leave her behind but we had to. After supper we drove around to look at Christmas lights - we brought Miley with so she could hang out with us. We drove through Falls Park and took some pictures and then we stopped at a downtown store to look at their neat window display. They have cute electronic animals ice skating and sipping tea. Callie and I decided to have a sleepover in Mommy and Daddy's room so we put our sleeping bags in there and fell right asleep amazingly!
12/21/2009	We were not that excited to go to school today but Mommy reminded us that we only have two days this week! Callie had R.A.P. all afternoon (read all period) so she took a pillow, blanket, and a thermos of hot chocolate (and it even stayed hot - Mommy was worried about that). We had Girl Scouts after school and the girls made snowmen out of pots. They also had pizza, breadsticks, and cupcakes and they shared with me. We watched Charlie Brown Christmas after supper and after I asked ten more times if we could open just ONE present but the answer is STILL no. I am not giving up though, especially since Mommy said maybe we can open one on Wednesday morning!
12/20/2009	We had our last Sunday School class this year - I was in the movies and Callie was at the computers. When we got home, we said good bye to Grandma and Grandpa and then they left for Nebraska. We had to get ready for the play at 2 that Mommy had bought us tickets for. However when we got there, someone was sitting in our seats! We asked an usher and after looking at their tickets and ours, she finally figured out that we had tickets for yesterday! We we so upset because Lauren was in the play and they told us it was sold out. We talked to a manager and finally they found some seats for us - phew! It was a great show too so I am glad we could see it. Afterwards Daddy took me and Callie shopping and Mommy ran her own errands.
12/19/2009	Our dress rehearsal was this morning for our dance recital. Daddy stayed and videotaped us and the first time Callie's group came out, they forgot to tell Callie so they did the dance without her! Their teacher had them do it again with her though so that was good. Grandma and Grandpa Robinson came to our house at lunch time and I visited for a little bit and then it was time for Mara's birthday party. Callie stayed at home and played Battleship with Grandma. They picked me up at 3 and then we had to be at the theater at 3:30 because our recital started at 4! I was so excited to finally get a rose this time (because in the past I always got one for Callie) but of course they didn't have flowers there this year. Thankfully Daddy drove to the grocery store and got us each one before the show started. We both did a great job and then we all went to Qdoba for supper. We played band hero for a little bit when we got home and then it was time for bed - it was a very busy day!
12/18/2009	Mommy had tons of presents wrapped under the tree today so we went crazy when we got home! I kept asking Mommy if we could please open just one gift but she kept saying no. My plan is to keep bothering her about it though until she gives in.
12/17/2009	Mommy subbed this morning so Daddy took us to school and took the truck back to the shop so they could finish. We had to call them and go get it last night because Mommy subbed out of town there was just no way we could work it out with one vehicle! I was in a much better mood but surprisinly I still needed to be woke up this morning - Mommy kind of thought I would wake up on my own. We wrapped our teacher gifs after school and I had to take a gift to exchange for a girl too. Daddy headed to darts after supper and Callie had lots of homework so Mommy and I read some Christmas stories before bed. She is also reading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" to us because that is the play we are going to see on Sunday! I had my last hip hop practice today before our big show on Saturday.
12/16/2009	Mommy subbed in my room today and as soon as she got there and read the lesson plans (which included the date) she realized it was Callie's 1/2 birthday! And since she is not in school on her real birthday that is when they celebrate it and Mommy didn't even remember to talk about treats or anything with her. She felt awful but she went to HyVee at lunch and picked up yummy cookies and dropped them off with a cute card for her and left everything with her sub (her teacher is on maternity leave). Of course Callie was bummed because her teacher gives out neat pillowcases to the students on their birthdays with their names sewed on them but she hadn't left them with the sub so Callie has to wait to get hers. Callie was excited Mommy brought the cookies in though! I had fun having Mommy be my teacher again but I was quite tired and a few times Mommy thought I was going to lose it but I pulled it together. After school we waited for Callie to finish her play practice and then we all went to McDonalds to eat supper at 4!! Then we picked up Daddy because Mommy's truck is in the shop and we went home so I could shower and get ready for a very early bedtime. I was asleep by 6:30. Daddy took Callie to ballet so Mommy could work at home on some things.
12/15/2009	Mommy subbed at our school today. She was in kindergarten in the morning and then 3rd grade in the afternoon. I didn't really see her though in the halls but she will be subbing in MY room tomorrow! Callie was very nervous this morning because she had her orchestra concert today. She had two actually because she performed this morning for the school (so Mommy saw it too) and then tonight for the parents. We ate a quick supper when Daddy got home and then we went to school to watch her. It was late when we got home so I had to go right to bed.
12/14/2009	Mommy helped in my classroom this afternoon - we wrote spelling words in shaving cream on a back table with her. It was quite messy! I had Daisies afterwards and it was my turn to bring a snack. I brought Christmas cookies and the candies Mommy makes. We also made gifts for our families.
12/13/2009	We had Sunday School today - Callie worked with wood and made a tiny birdhouse ornament and I worked on the computer! Mommy spent all day finished her art final - she had to do a lesson plan and a project. After supper she started studying for her final tomorrow and then she is done with these classes.
12/12/2009	We all slept in this morning until 9 or so. Mommy cleaned up the kitchen while Daddy went to pick up Miley and then we watched Christmas TV shows. We all decided to nap about lunchtime but mine was quite short. Callie slept for three hours though! We helped Mommy clean the playroom after that and then we just lazy the rest of the day.
12/11/2009	It's Friday! Callie and I were both very excited for our Christmas party. We kept asking Mommy how late we were going to be able to stay up and who was coming and all that. First of course, we had to go to school. Mommy came at 2 because Callie's class had a desk wrapping party so she helped Callie and another girl wrap their desks (she is getting be a pro at it since she wrapped almost my whole class on Monday!). She took us home from school since she was there but first we had to stop at the grocery store for some last minute things she needed. We helped her make a few dips and then Daddy got home so we went with him to take Miley to the kennel and get supper. Mommy got herself ready while we were gone and then we were ready for our guests! We had 16 adults and 14 kids so it was crazy but we all had a lot of fun. Mommy had changed our playroom around so the school part was all picked up, giving us a lot more room to play and she set up nintendo on the TV downstairs too so the boys mostly played that. ALTHOUGH we did get Andrew and Adam in dress up clothes so that was entertaining! Lots of kids left between 11 and midnight so then is when I told Mommy I was ready for bed. Callie stayed up til 1am when the last two kids left and Mommy and Daddy were up until 4 playing guitar hero when the last few grown-ups left!
12/10/2009	Mommy subbed at our school again today and this time she took Callie with her because Callie had play rehearsal at 7:30. She got a part in the play - a small part, but she is very excited anyway! It is going to be in January and it is about what a body is made up of and Callie is a nerve. Mommy ran into teachers in the hall while she was subbing and got a few more sub jobs lined up for our school so she was excited about that. Emmi came over after school because her mom was at work and her brother had to go somewhere so she gets scared alone and likes to hang out with us. Of course Mommy and I went to Hip Hop but they got to be together so they were ok with that.
12/9/2009	Well school started an hour late which is just as rare as closing it so I guess that was nice - I slept in! Mommy is very frustrated with Callie because this year already she has lost three pairs of gloves, a hat, and now her gym bag with her gym clothes in it! Mommy was super busy today making all kinds of Christmas cookies for our party and she cleaned too. She had frosting all ready for us when we got home so we could frost the cut out cookies we made yesterday - it was fun!! I also helped sprinkle the oreo balls. Daddy took Callie to ballet tonight so she could finish up her baking while I showered and got ready for bed.
12/8/2009	It started getting very very cold out and snowing today. Mommy said it is a horrible time for her truck to be giving her so many problems - her window won't shut and her heater only works on high so it is so loud we can't ever talk in the car. But she says she is too busy to get it fixed right now. Mommy made Christmas candies today and when we got home from school we helped her make cut out cookies! The wind really picked up after supper and so Mommy is hoping for a snow day tomorrow but our school NEVER closes so it is doubtful.
12/7/2009	Back to school today and Mommy subbed in my room so tha was fun! And she said I did a great job. Of course I fell apart in Girl Scouts but I guess she was expected that. The girls made a tie blanket just like my troop did so Mommy can dontate it to the Children's Inn.
12/6/2009	We finally slept in a bit - until after 8 and then we ate breakfast in our pjs. We went swimming after that and enjoyed the pool to ourselves again for quite awhile. We all had to shower and get ready and we went back to the Mall of America around 11. Daddy convinced us to ride on the tame roller coaster there and it wasn't so bad but I liked the one in Disney World better. We ate lunch afterwards and then headed home to pick up Miley and get ready for school tomorrow. I get to be the VIP tomorrow (and all week actually) so I have been very excited about that AND Mommy is subbing in my room tomorrow too!
12/5/2009	Mommy heard us giggling before 7 this morning so we all got up and headed downstairs for breakfast. Mommy decided last night that she would really enjoy a whole shopping day to herself so she had Daddy drop her off at the Mall of America while we spent the day at the Science Museum so we could check out the Titanic exhibit! We had a great day there and even saw a movie about it. Mommy had lots of fun shopping too and she had quite a few packages when we picked her up around 5. We rested back at the motel for awhile until Grandpa was done with his class and then we met them at Buca for supper - yummy!! They came to our motel to visit and then Mommy left us again to go have a drink with her friend Jill. Daddy put us to bed so we were sound asleep when she came back to the room.
12/4/2009	We left for Minneapolis this morning after we dropped off Miley at the kennel. We went right to the Mall of America and met Grandma Ivey at the Rainforest Cafe. It was the first time I had eaten there and the whole thunderstorm idea really scared me at first but then I realized it wasn't so bad. We went to the Barbie store and the American Girl Store of course and then Mommy had to check out her scrapbook store. Around 5 we decided to head to our motel. We ate a quick supper at Arbys and then swam all evening - it was fun and we had the pool to ourselves for awhile! Callie and I whispered and giggled in bed and finally by 10 we were asleep.
12/3/2009	Mommy took Callie to school early this morning because she wanted to audition for a 4th/5th grade play they are having in January. Daddy took me at the normal time and I had a heck of a time finding clothes so it was good Callie didn't have to wait for me. Mommy and Daddy were not too happy with how long I took this morning but they just don't seem to understand how I require my clothes to be comfortable AND fashionable - it can't look like "boy" clothes one little bit! We rode the bus home today and played outside in the snow until it was time for hip hop. Mommy and Callie dressed warmly so they could walk Miley while I was in dance and then we came home for supper. Mommy started reading us "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" - a book she read as a kid AND it is the play that Callie's friend, Lauren is in. Mommy and Daddy bought us tickets so we can go see it in a few weeks - that should be fun!
12/2/2009	Today we had dentist appointments when we got home from school. I was not very happy because our dentist retired so we went to a new one and I hate changes. However it turned out we liked him so that was good. AND while I was getting my teeth cleaned, my loose one popped right out! We came home for a very quick supper so Callie and Mommy could head out to the cookie decorating class that her girl scout troop had. It was for all the girls and their moms and they had a great time. Daddy and I had to mail some packages (Daddy has been selling some stuff on Ebay) and he let me buy a cookie from the grocery store for my bedtime snack! It started snowing while we were out and about and Callie was quite surprised when she got out of the class because everything was white already. Mommy said it was very slick coming home too.
12/1/2009	Mommy helped in my class today since she missed yesterday due to subbing. And then she took us home from school but first we went to the library and found lots of Christmas books.
11/30/2009	Mommy subbed at our school today so I saw her in the halls a few times. We had Daisies in her classroom instead of the art room so that was fun! Today we talked about being courageous and strong so we learned about courageous women and we did exercises to keep strong. We also cut out pictures of healthy food and glued them on a paper plate! We brought Camille home with us and Mommy played ball with Miley for a bit and then we had to leave again. Callie's troop hosted the Children's activites at the Banquet - our local ministry that offers supper to those in need. Daddy picked me up and we went to Sonic and then read lots of books at home. Callie's troop helped kids paint Christmas ornaments - they had almost 30 kids come through. The girls took turns eating with the guests at the Banquet too so they could see what it was like. There were a few hundred poeple in line to eat so Mommy said it was quite an eye opener for the girls and even some of the parents who dropped them off!
11/29/2009	We had Sunday School today! Callie was in the station I had last week and I was at Jesus's birthday party station - we had cupcakes and balloon games after we talked about his birth. I forgot to tell you that when we were talking about what we were thankful for, I whispered to Mommy that I was thankful Jesus was born! After lunch, Mommy got out our gingerbread houses to decorate. We were so excited and this year she bought a kit that was actually a village so it had five houses. We each decorated two and Mommy did one - they turned out very cute. Mommy put them all on a cookie sheet together and sprinkled coconut all around to look like snow. After supper we had to get all of our school things ready because tomorrow it is time to go back!
11/28/2009	We pulled out all of our Christmas decorations today! We helped Mommy with some of them and then we got bored of it so we played. Mara invited me over after lunch so I went over there and Daddy and Callie went to run some errands. We had an early supper and then we were ready to decorate the tree! We love looking at all of our ornaments and remembering where we got them. After we finished, we popped the new popcorn we got and watched some TV before bed.
11/27/2009	Mommy was going to get up early to shop but she changed her mind - the cricut was the best deal she said and she got that last night. Callie and I went out for breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa this morning and then we went shopping. Grandma bought up us popcorn for our special popper! We ate lunch (turkey sandwiches of course) and then they left for home. Daddy and I napped while Callie read and Mommy put our lights up outside. We ate pizza for supper because I had a book-it certificate for a free pizza and then we went to the parade of lights. We even took Miley with us to watch! I was tired, even with my nap, and ready for bed when we got home.
11/26/2009	Happy Thanksgiving! We were very excited for today. We watched the parade this morning and Mommy got the turkey started. When it was closer to lunch Mommy and Grandma got everything ready and I helped set the table so we could all eat together. Everyone thought it was sure yummy (I had bread and yogurt but skipped everything else of course). After awhile we had pie for dessert and then Grandpa and Daddy took me and Callie to the movie, A Christmas Carol. It was good but kind of scary in 3D! Mommy and Grandma went to the craft store and Mommy bought a cricut - they stood in line for awhile but luckily Grandma was able to get one because Mommy had a hard time getting close to the display. I guess Daddy is wrapping it up for Mommy's Christmas present (he already bought himself a new remote that Mommy is wrapping) - it must be strange to be a grown-up and pick out your own gifts! Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace came over for leftovers and we played until bedtime.
11/25/2009	We had today off so Callie and I had fun playing! We helped Mommy make a pasta salad and a pie for tomorrow too. Grandpa Robinson is sick so they called and said they couldn't come but Grandma and Grandpa Ivey got to our house around bedtime.
11/24/2009	Mommy took us to schol today because she didn't have to sub and Daddy wanted to go get donuts for his clients - it was his last day working there. Mommy came and ate lunch with us too AND she picked us up today - we were sure lucky! We got our hair cut after school and then we went home to play.
11/23/2009	HAPPY BIRTHDAY Grandpa Ivey! Only two days of school this week - yipppee! Callie had Girl Scouts and it was Lauren and Cassidy's turn to lead the meeting so Mommy just got to sit back and watch. They did a great job she said. They picked a theater patch to work on we made masks with glitter and feathers (I made one too!) and then we did charades. It was fun!
11/22/2009	We slept in a little later today so Mommy was happy! We started new rotations in Sunday School - the Christmas rotation. Callie was in the movie and I was in People Productions. Callie also got her own Bible today - they usually give them to 3rd Graders but since we weren' there last year, Cathy asked her if she wanted one and Callie was very excited about it - she even started reading it right away. Mommy and Daddy worked in the basement today - she was cleaning and Daddy is trying to get some computers together to sell so Callie and I played school and then we painted Christmas pictures.
11/21/2009	I woke up really early for some reason and Mommy couldn't convince me to go back to sleep (she even tried laying with me!). Callie and I played but of course I was tired and crabbby so we fought a lot today. Mommy was trying to clean so she wasn't happy with me. At 2 I went to Nolan's birthday party so Mommy walked me to his house. At the same time, Marcella called to invite Callie over to play! Daddy took her over there - she is back at school now and doing much better. We were both home by supper so Daddy grilled scallops and Mommy made sweet potatoes. I was so tired that I could barely stay awake - I told Mommy if I was in a car, I would be asleep by now. So I just went to bed and was asleep by 6:30! Mommy and Callie had a fun game night I guess.
11/20/2009	It was bring a stuffed animal to school day in my class so I took my cheetah. Mommy was very excited for today because she is going to the New Moon movie with Kim while we are at school. Tonight was Girl Scout Night at the hockey game so we went and the Stampede even won!
11/19/2009	Callie finished the first Harry Potter book - she really liked it. And her teacher let it count for two books on her book chart. She is supposed to read 10 books before December 22nd and she already has read 11! I had hip hop today so Callie and Mommy walked Miley. Tomorrow is bring your stuffed animal day in my class so I am trying to decide who to bring. Decisions decisions!
11/18/2009	We had friends over after school today! I had Alisha and Callie had Kathryn over. They both went home around 5 and then Daddy came to get me. He and I had a date night so we went to McDonald's and then went to HyVee for groceries. Mommy and Callie went to Burger King and to Goodwill to get some boots for Mommy's Art Homework. Callie had ballet and was VERY excited to find out that she will be in the Christmas program this year! They have never had technique classes be in the program before (usually the kids are in more than one class so they have all been in the program anyway) but for whatever reason they changed their minds. Callie will be doing a Chinese ballet dance - of course they just learned it and the program is in a few weeks so they have to work hard! But Callie is excited because now she gets to be in the backstage with me on my first performance so I won't be as nervous.
11/16/2009	Callie was supposed to have flag duty this morning but when she got to school, it was already up! It turns out her teacher had the wrong time scheduled so now it won't be until January or something. Mommy helped in my class today - we worked with coins and had to count some out. I had Daisies today after school too! Callie and Camille played outside during our meeting. Today we learned about being Considerate and Caring. We made a thank-you to the art teacher since she is nice enough to let us use her art room for our meetings. We also made a fleece tie blanket for a child staying at the Children's Inn. We talked about other ways we can be considerate too and then we sang songs and went outside to play for the last few minutes. I had homework tonight! Our teacher sent home a big paper turkey feather that I had to write what I was thankful for on. We are taking them back to school and making one large turkey on our wall. I asked Mom if I could write with marker and she suggested I use pencil first and then trace because if I make a mistake she doesn't have another feather (and she knows I get quite upset if I make a mistake). Well I did that but then I got upset anyway because I couldn't match my pencil line exactly when I was tracing with my marker and I fell apart. Mommy tells me I am way too much of a perfectionist!
11/15/2009	We had Sunday school this morning but first Mommy and Daddy took us to Caribou for hot chocolate and a muffin! Daddy ran us over to the church when it was time while Mommy kept working on her homework and then he rejoined her. They are getting to be old regulars at that place! Callie and I played when we got home until it was time for her to go to Madison's bowling birthday party. I played the Wii with Daddy - he got two new games (he can never wait until Christmas). After supper Callie and Mommy played too - we got the Band Hero game which has more pop songs instead of rock so we actually knew them. I sang Taylor Swift's song while Callie played the drums - it was fun!
11/14/2009	Callie and I woke up 6 this morning! After playing for awhile we went shopping with Mommy and Daddy. We picked out fleece for tie blankets for the girl scout troops (we are donating them to the Children's Inn) and then we went to Barnes and Noble. Callie and I started making our Christmas lists! After supper, Callie got her pretty dress on and was all ready for her dance. Daddy got dressed up too and we headed off to the studio. Mommy and I came just to take pictures of each dad and girl for their scrapbooks. It looked really fun - they had the lights dimmed and Christmas lights everywhere. Callie said they learned the waltz, the rumba, and then took a break. They had punch and brownies and then they learned the meringue and did a little free-style dance too. She and Daddy went out for ice cream afterwards and then came home.
11/13/2009	Yippee I was excited it was Friday and we tested our boats and guess what? I got 2nd place!! First place held 268 pennies, mine held 206, and third place held 115 pennies. After school, Mommy took us Christmas dress shopping. She figured we should get them now and then Callie can wear hers tomorrow night to the dance. Mommy had previewed the stores for acceptabley priced dresses before hand and only took us to two stores to pick from. We both found cute ones for $15 each (she had told us our limit was $20) - she was very happy especially since we happened to walk by a store with $60 and $70 dresses!! We had to get new black dress shoes too and then we met Daddy for supper. Callie slept in my room tonight so we had a fun little party giggling and then I fell asleep while Callie read with her small book light on.
11/12/2009	We built foil boats today in school and tomorrow we get to see whos boat will hold the most pennies. Dr. Manning gave us each foil and just told us we could cut, wrinkle, and fold it however we wanted and then we all went to work. I am excited to try mine out! Grandma and Grandpa Ivey stopped by when we got home from school. We visted a little bit and then they left to head home and we left for my hip hop class. We came home for a quick supper and then Daddy headed out for a concert with Eric and Jason. Callie had a lot of homework tonight so she was up for awhile working on it. She has a test tomorrow, had to make a North Carolina postcard,finish her math, and she did some origami flowers for her gifted ed room. Their new unit is about the rain forest so they get to decorate their room to turn it into a rain forest!
11/11/2009	Happy Veteran's Day! We didn't sleep in much again today so we were all ready to head to Dena's house to play. Gillian has a loft in her room now so we had to check it out - it is really cool! We played until lunch and then we all went to Camille's together and afterwards Mommy brought Gillian and Adam to our house to play (Dena took Jacob home to nap, who by the way broke his arm and has a cute little splint on it now). We had to show them our big Barbie house we made and we played Barbies together until 4 when Mommy took them home. We cleaned up and went with Daddy to grab Taco Johns when Grandma and Grandpa Ivey called - they were in town (early - they were coming tomorrow). They stopped over while we ate and then Callie played the violin for them and then Mommy took her to ballet. Grandma and Grandpa left for their motel around 7 so Daddy could get me to bed and Callie had studying to do when she got home.
11/10/2009	No school today so we slept in a little bit - Daddy was gone when I woke up anyway. Mommy took us to Sunshine to get donuts and then we played Barbies all morning. Around lunchtime we decided to work on our Florida scrapbooks so Mommy set up a table for us and we worked hard on them. Jade stopped by to play with Callie so we all rode our bikes to the park while Mommy walked Miley and then we came home. They played in the backyard while Mommy made cookies for all of us and then it was time for her to head home. Daddy came home to grill Bison Burgers (sounds yucky if you ask me) and then we picked out ice cream from the store for dessert. It is Sesame Street's 40th birthday today so we watched the premiere of the new season and then Mommy found You Tube clips of Mr. Hooper for us to watch and Edith Ann (and that's the truth!) - we loved it and kept wanting to see more clips so Mommy was having fun searching.
11/9/2009	It was strange knowing we only had to go to school today and then we get two days off! Callie had Girl Scouts after school so I colored and played my DS while they had their meeting. We just had sandwiches for supper so it was quick and we had a nice long evening to set up a HUGE barbie house in the dining room. Mommy even helped us - it turned out great! We played for awhile and then Mommy said we could leave it up for tomorrow.
11/8/2009	We had Sunday School this morning and then Mommy and Daddy made us go to Best Buy to look for laptops for Mommy (we were not very happy to have to go there). Finally we went home so we could PLAY! Alisha came over to play for awhile this afternoon and then Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace came over for supper. Daddy and Tom grilled fish and Tom also made chislic but of course I didn't eat either one but Callie liked both.
11/7/2009	Mommy was already gone when I woke up this morning - she had a CPR/First Aid class she went to with Kim in Brandon. We tried to help Daddy take the cats to a rabies shot clinic but Skittles had NO desire to go anywhere. She kept getting out of the crate before Daddy could close the door and the last time she scratched him and tried to bit him so he gave up on her and we only took Shelby. After we brought her home we took Miley and went to check out a park with new playground equipment but it was still roped off so we were disappointed we couldn't play. Daddy took us to Senior Weiner (they just opened) for lunch and we got mini hotdogs. Mommy came home in the afternoon and then she and Daddy worked outside until supper. It was a beautiful day so we played outside too for awhile. After supper we watched the new Tinkerbell movie and Mommy popped popcorn so it was a fun night.
11/6/2009	Yah it's Friday! I told Mommy I was very excited for today - I am ready for a few days off. Mommy subbed at Renner today so she had to leave a little earlier than normal but Daddy got all us all ready to go and took us to school of course. I went to Alisha's house after school - it was SOO nice out that Callie rode her bike along with me and made sure I got there ok and then she came home and Emmi came over. When Daddy got home, Callie walked Emmi home and Mommy rode her bike to pick me up. We had breakfast for supper and then we had a family Wii night!
11/5/2009	We wished Mommy good luck on her test today -she was kind of nervous. She subbed this afternoon but when she got home, Callie even remembered to ask her about it so Mommy thought that was very nice. I had hip hop today so Mommy and Callie walked Miley - it was really nice outside! Daddy had darts and after I went to bed Mommy and Callie skiied on the Wii.
11/3/2009	Callie went over to Jade's afterschool and when she came home it was time to go to school for conferences! We went to the book fair first because Mommy let us each pick out one book and Daddy met us there. My conference was first and my teacher said I am doing great! She showed Mommy my journal and how great my writing is and of course I am reading at a very high level (she stopped testing me when I hit third grade!). We stopped to visit with Callie's orchestra teacher after that and it sounds like she is really getting the hang of it all - they are starting to learn Jingle Bells for the Holiday concert in December. Then it was Callie's conference and she is doing great too! She also reads at a high level (7th grade!) and although she struggled with science in the beginning of the year, she really pulled up her grade so Mommy and Daddy were proud of her. We ate at Qdoba and I discussed for quite awhile how silly it is when buildings have the words Smoke-Free on them. It seems like it is saying you can smoke for free in there so I don't like the way they word it at all! Mommy keeps trying to explain what it really means and I understand it but I still don't like it (this has been on on-going conversation the last few months). Today I wondered if you really have to be smoke free to go inside - like what if you smoke but aren't going to smoke while you are eating, can you still go inside?
11/2/2009	It turns out the girl who was hit by a train yesterday is in Callie's class and Callie's friend Jade was with her! AND they were right behind my friend, Brooke's house when it happened. So we both heard all about it in school and I just wanted to keep talking about it in Daisies but no one else was nearly as interested as I was in all the details. Thankfully the girl will be ok although it sounds like she has quite a few broken bones. Mommy helped in my class this afternoon and then of course it was time for Daisies. Callie and Camille went outside to play during our meeting. We talked about being Friendly and Helpful today so we made little daisies to put out whenever we do a helpful chore around the house (we have to use three of them by our next meeting) and we learned the song Make New Friends and made gold and silver circles with glitter for SWAPs.
11/1/2009	We woke up early of course so we had a lot of time to play before Sunday School. Mommy was packing her computer to take with to the coffee shop and I asked her why she was taking it. She told me she had homework and I said "Oh do they have Google there?" I guess she and Daddy thought that was funny because they both started laughing! It was super nice out again today so Callie and I played outside and rode our bikes. We got our new blinds the other day so Daddy and Callie put them up yesterday - it sure makes our downstairs dark now if there isn't a light on!
10/31/2009	Happy Halloween! Mommy and I had a Daisy Tea Party we went to this morning. It is Juliette Lowe's birthday (the lady who started Girl Scouts) so they were having a tea party to celebrate. One other girl and her mom in my troop came so we sat with them. We made cute hats, fans, took a big picture, and then had tea (well hot chocolate) and cookies. It was fun! We came home and wrapped Brooke's gift, ate lunch, and then it was time for her party. I wore my costume since it was a costume party. Daddy and Callie went to paint at Color Me Mine since Callie still hadn't done that yet (I did it quite a long time ago with Daddy) and Mommy stayed home to work on homework. She picked me up at 3 and Callie and I played outside since it was SUPER nice out for once. Mommy made pumpkin seeds and then tacos for supper and finally it was time to get ready to trick-or-treat. We walked around the block and by then I was tired and ready to hand out candy with Daddy so Mommy and Callie went down a few more streets. Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace came over after the mall. Jace didn't really get the whole trick or treating thing I guess so Callie took him over to a few neighbors to get some candy there which was a lot less distracting than the mall but I think he just likes playing better.
10/30/2009	Today was our Halloween class parties. Mommy stopped by our school at lunch because she wanted all my classmates to sign a birthday card for Dr. Manning since tomorrow is her birthday. She saw our principal who was dressed up as Amelia Bedilia and she was even doing crazy things like her too - it was super funny! We got our costumes on at 1:30 to get ready for the parade and then we went through all the classrooms and hallways. Our principal had changed costumes and was a clown now! My teacher was a pig and Mommy came as a gypsy/fortune teller with her crystal ball. Mommy had three stations set up when we got back - one was snack, one was Halloween bingo, and one was ghost bowling and a spider toss. We also sang Happy Birthday to my teacher and gave her the card. Callie had a fun party too - hers was in the gym this year with all the fourth graders together. We came home and carved jack-o-lanterns and then put our costumes back on to go eat supper. Mommy picked Texas Roadhouse for her birthday supper and kids ate free if they had costumes on! We had leftover birthday cake for dessert and after playing a bit, it was time for bed.
10/29/2009	I had a field trip to the firestation today! We were hoping to walk but it was raining so we drove instead. Mommy was one of our drivers and she was feeling fairly impressed that her truck was looking good - just vacuumed before the Omaha trip and hasn't really gotten dirty. Obviously one of the little girls didn't agree because she got in and said to Mommy "wow, you should really vacuum in here!" Some of the kids drove with Dr. Manning and even her mom drove because we just didn't have enough volunteers. After school we packed our costumes and headed to Hip Hop. We met Daddy for supper at Taco Bell and the Hilschers were there too (quite a surprise!)so we ate with them. Daddy had darts so Mommy took us to a kids' Halloween party at the Musuem of Visual Arts (we changed into our costumes in the car). It was fun - well first we went through a haunted house which we thought was too scary but then we played games. They had a fishing game, bowling with a pumpkin, ball toss at some scary heads and a cake walk. We won candy and cupcakes! A witch was telling a story and we played bingo too before it was time to leave. We came home and got our costumes all packed up for school tomorrow and then went to bed.
10/28/2009	Happy Birthday Mommy! Daddy went back to work today so he dropped us off at school. Mommy stayed home to finish some homework and then she met a friend for lunch. She was even working on her scrapbook when we got home from school so I think she had a good day. We had pizza for supper and the yummy cake we picked out. Callie and I had made her homeemade gifts since Daddy was sick and couldn't take us shopping - Mommy loved them! Callie had ballet so after cake they had to leave.
10/27/2009	Mommy subbed this afternoon but Daddy was feeling better so he was up and waiting for us when we got home from school. It was fairly nice outside so when Mommy got home she told us to play outside before we can't anymore so we went and rode bikes while she walked Miley. After supper Daddy took us to the store quick to pick out a cake for Mommy tomorrow.
10/26/2009	Daddy was sick so stayed home from work and Mommy tried to stay away from him too. Callie led the meeting with Anna and they did a great job! They decided to start earning the Jeweler patch and they had the girls paint jewelry boxes (coffee tins that Mommy had been saving), they played a game to learn about the birthstones, and then they split them up and Callie told her half about Jewelry in other cultures and Anna told her half about different tools used to make jewelry. Mommy was super impressed with how good a job they did!
10/25/2009	Daddy still sounds very sick and he told us to take our time coming home so we weren't around him too much. Grandma made us breakfast and then we played and colored all morning. Mommy worked on some homework and then packed everything up. Grandpa called and said he would be home by lunch so we stayed to eat lunch together and see him (he had been out of town on a hunting trip). Callie and I both napped for a bit on the way home but not as long as Mommy had hoped for. She made us supper when we got home but first she sprayed lysol everywhere and tried to get rid of sick germs from our house! Daddy moved to the bedroom and Mommy told him to stay up there so she took him food and juice on a tray. Callie had to finish up her Girl Scout posters - she is leading the meeting tomorrow so she needed to finish getting all ready. We both showered and went to bed after that - we are sure hoping to stay healthy!
10/24/2009	Daddy woke up sick this morning. Well he had started feeling icky yesterday at work - a bad headache and then he didn't sleep well at all. He had a fever this morning so we left him home. After talking to him this afternoon and hearing his fever went up to 103 and he was coughing a lot we are pretty sure he has H1N1. We made it to Aberdeen at lunchtime and met Grandma Ivey and Great Grandma and Grandpa Anglin at Wendys. We went to Grandma's afterwards to try on our costumes she made us! She had to make a few quick adjustments and then they were ready - she did an awesome job!! We trick or treated at the Daytime Version of the Haunted Forest and then Mommy took us back to Grandmas. She met her mom for shopping and dinner while we visited Great Grandma Ivey and Daddy's Aunt Kim (and her new puppy). We ate supper with Grandma and Grandpa and then Mommy picked us up and we headed out to Grandma Robinson's house. We showed her our costumes and then we visited for awhile but it was late so we had to get to bed.
10/23/2009	We were all very tired this morning so moved very slowly and were almost late for school! It is Brooke's birthday tomorrow so she brought treats today and I got to help her hand out her cookies to the specials teachers (art, music, etc) so we had fun walking around doing that! After school she invited me over for a playdate and next Saturday she is having her birthday party - it is a costume party even! After supper we played a bit and then Mommy said we had to shower and go to be early - we were not very happy about that. But she told us when we get too tired that is when our body gets sick easier and we are going to see our grandmas and grandpas tomorrow so we need to be rested!
10/22/2009	Mommy subbed at my school again - this time for kindergarten. She had 11 students gone so only 12 in her class. Our whole school has been missing lots of kids this week - over 70 gone each day! One first grade class only had 5 students in it on Tuesday! After school we found out Lauren was home sick so she couldn't be in the hobby fair anymore with Callie. We picked up the board they worked on together and then I had Hip Hop. After dance we quick ate supper at Culvers and then went to the Hobby Fair to get set up. I had a barbie display with furniture, barbies and my jeep. Callie had a variety of crafts that she and Lauren like to work on. Our principal brought her dog around and visited with everyone so that was fun!
10/21/2009	Mommy subbed today at our school for the art teacher and I had art so she got to be my teacher! We met her there after school and colored while she did her paperwork. The teacher showed up after a bit to do her conferences and told Mommy she has H1N1 so we should leave so we didn't get infected (she had a mask on too) so we left early. Callie had dance tonight so Daddy read and practiced my spelling with me.
10/20/2009	Callie had orchestra today and she really enjoys it. After school we went to pick up Lauren so she and Callie could finish up their hobby fair project. Mommy and I worked on mine so I think we are all ready now. After supper I had to shower while Callie and Mommy worked on their homework. Daddy brought up his laptop because Mommy was on hers in the kitchen and Callie needed to do research so they both sat next to each other working on their computers.
10/19/2009	We had to go back to school today. Mommy volunteered in my room this afternoon - she helped us with a timeline project. After school it was time for Daisies! Avery brought a fun snack - popcorn hands with candy corn fingernails - yummy. Mommy had spiders hidden and everyone found 3 but I found 4 which everyone decided was quite unfair. (Mommy had told me to do that beforehand). It turned out today we learned about being Honest and Fair - part of the Girl Scout Law. We played a few more games and listened to a story and then we made a witch craft. We helped Mommy clean the garage when we got home and then it was time for the school Roller Skating Party. Daddy was helping Charlie with our old TV so he didn't come and Mommy just watched this time because we are such good skaters we don't need her help anymore!
10/18/2009	Daddy took me to Sunday School today. We started a new rotation so I was at the Creation Station and did an art project. At lunch time Daddy and I rode our bikes to Taco Johns and we stopped and looked at the construction area by Sunshine and it appears there might be a Caribou Coffee going in next to the KFC! Mommy will be excited to have one so close. We did some shopping and then we hung out until Mommy and Callie got home at 4! Daddy grilled steaks so they could just sit and tell us all about their trip. Their lights didn't turn off until midnight and so it took awhile for them to go to sleep after that and then wake-up was at 6am! They had to eat breakfast, pack up their gear and take it to the car so they could go on a 7:30am hike. Their guide told them all sorts of neat things and then at 9 they were on their own. The girls had a few more exhibits they wanted to see and then they had to stop at the gift shop. They ate at McDonald's for lunch, found a Starbucks (Daddy's GPS came in quite handy)for the three drivers, and headed home.
10/17/2009	Mommy started getting her things ready as soon as we woke up and she had to clean out the truck. A little before 2 she had to go to Walgreens to meet the other girls. Daddy and I said good-bye and got ready to start our fun weekend! We went to the humane society to look at urns but they were pretty expensive so we decided to play with kittens instead (and we called Mommy and told her we got one - she didn't find that so amusing so good thing we were kidding!). We went to McDonalds for supper because I had a free kids meal coupon for reading so many books at school. And then we made cookies together (although they were just the pull off and put on a cookie sheet kind but Mommy was still impressed when she heard this) and watched the Hannah Montana movie. Mommy and Callie (and the rest of the girl scouts) ate pizza at Council Bluffs when they got to town and then they headed to the zoo around 7. There was about 100 kids waiting to be let in for the sleepover (boys too which totally freaked out the girl scouts). They dropped all their stuff in the lobby of the aquarium and then split into groups for a guided tour. At 10 they called groups (the girls were group 3!) to pick out sleeping spots and they were SOO excited because they got the tunnel - just what they wanted.
10/16/2009	It was Muffins in the Morning today so all four of us went to eat breakfast at my school. Mommy came back at lunch because she was subbing in the kindergarten room. She ran into the reading recovery teacher at school and she told Mommy that she happened to hear me reading to my teacher when she stopped in my room and she was amazed! I don't think I even told you that this last weekend I read my first chapter book all by myself in one day! And now I started a second one. Callie is very excited because tomorrow the Girl Scouts are going to Omaha!
10/15/2009	I took Alisha with me to Bring a Friend week to hip hop. Daddy came to pick her up and take her home because Mommy took us to get our flu shots. We have never had flu shots before so we were quite scared and as we were walking to the building all these kids that were done, were coming out crying. That didn't help! I was actually quite brave and went first - I squeezed Mommy's hand and it was all over. Callie was really scared and crying and then tried to get away from the nurse! They had to call someone else over to hold her hand and be ready to keep her still because she kept wiggling away but they did it quickly and she was fine afterwards. We went to Chuck E Cheese afterwards and ran into Jason and Abby there!
10/14/2009	It was hard to go back to school but once we were there we enjoyed it of course! Mommy subbed and the school she was at had over 25% of the students gone! Her class was supposed to have 20 students but it only had 12! It is bring a friend to dance week so Callie took Emmi with her to Ballet - they had a good time.
10/13/2009	We had today off of school too! Mommy had an eye dr appointment so we went along for that and then we stopped to get groceries. Finally we made it home for lunch and then we played for awhile. Around 3 Mommy reminded Callie she had homework so she had to finish that and then all three of us watched some TV together until Daddy came home. We had supper and then it was time to get ready to go back to school tomorrow. Callie and I have had so much fun playing these last few days that I just don't feel like going back so I wasn't very happy about the whole thing.
10/12/2009	Daddy had to work today so it was just us girls. Callie and I got along great today and we were busy all day playing school. Mommy made us hot cocoa for our thermoses and we took it to our school room so we could have coffee breaks! After lunch we started playing swimming lessons - we taught quite a few stuffed animals how to swim. Daddy came to pick us up after work and we met Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace at the mall for supper. Then we bought snow boots so we are now ready for winter.
10/11/2009	We slept in this morning so we missed Sunday School but we were sure tired. I slept til after 10! Mommy left to shop at the craft fair while Callie and I played house. Brooke called to have a playdate and then we decided to play at my house instead so she came over around 2:30 and stayed until 5. Callie worked on homework while she was here and then we played more after she left. We even noticed it wss snowing again! Mommy said tomorrow we will have to go boot shopping.
10/10/2009	We woke up to snow - almost two inches had fallen overnight! Of course Mommy had sold all of our winter gear at our rummage sale so we were NOT happy about that but we still went out and played. Then we got ready to go shopping for new winter gear - we both found coats and snowpants. We even checked out our brand new Target and saw Kim and the kids there too. We invited them over for supper so they came over around 6. Daddy and Scott went to get pizza for everyone and then we played and played. The grown ups played Guitar Hero of course and we all stayed up until midnight (well Matt fell asleep on the couch but the rest of us were still happily playing).
10/9/2009	I forgot to tell you that yesterday was our Root Beer Float day - they were yummy! I told Mommy that I think my teacher is the best one in the world. Daddy surprised us at lunch today except he thought we ate at noon so he was late and missed the actual lunch part. We were just going outside so he played four square with us instead (Callie and I have the same lunch recess so we both could play with him). Mommy was our Library Friend today - every Friday a parent comes and reads to each first and second grade class. She brought Bad Dog Marley and had to read it to 7 different classrooms! They sure loved it! When we got home from school Mommy and Daddy told us Haley died so we were sad for a bit. I drew her a picture and wrote a nice letter to her. Luckily we had a distraction at 5 though. My friend Avery had a birthday party at the Pizza Ranch in Brandon and since her sister is good friends with Callie, we both got to go!
10/8/2009	Mommy subbed at our school again and two more teachers had asked her to sub there (today) but of course she could only be there for one at a time. Callie is working on a United States project - she has been assigned New York and Massachusets. They have to research them and then they are going to have a trivia contest against the other fourth grade class to see who knows more about the states! I was very crabby today after school so Mommy decided we weren't going to Hip Hop.
10/7/2009	Mommy had today off so she took us to school and headed to the coffee shop to do her homework. After school we hung out with Haley - she isn't doing very good again and Mommy told us that she is most likely going to die soon. We wanted pictures with her and gave her lots of hugs. Callie had ballet tonight and it was jazz night - she likes that.
10/6/2009	Mommy subbed again today at our school! Callie saw her at lunch but I didn't see her today. She told us to take the bus home anyway because she had to work with another teacher after school. Callie almost forgot her violin but the bus driver told her she could hurry and go back and get it while he waited.
10/5/2009	Mommy subbed but at our school so we saw her today in the halls. I had Daisies after school and we traced our hands and made a Girl Scout Promise sign with them. We also sang some songs. Callie and I played school when we got home and after supper. I forgot to tell you that Mommy helped us decorate for Halloween yesterday! We even bought a few pumpkins for outside.
10/4/2009	We had Sunday School today - I was in the Creation Station so I made the potions Callie told me all about. Callie was in the Production Studio so she got to dress up in costumes. After lunch, Daddy took Callie and Lauren to Alex's swimming birthday party. It was at a motel with a water slide so they had a lot of fun. Lauren's dad brought Callie home. Mommy and I had made cookies and we played a board game so we had fun too. We had to shower and get ready for bed because tomorrow is back to school!
10/3/2009	We had to take Mommy's truck in for an oil change today and as our life has been going (or so Mommy says) we ended up with a big bill for new brakes too. We picked Callie up at 10:30 and then we ate a quick lunch and went to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. It was a very good movie! We came home to play after that. Mommy bought a few more jars of babyfood and Haley ate a whole other jar today so that is good! Daddy grilled tonight and Callie and I played outside even though it was quite chilly and wet - we still had fun. We rode our bikes while Mommy walked Miley too and thought it was kind of fun since it was misting on us. Grandma Ivey told us Callie's witch outfit is pretty much done and now she is going to work on my cheerleader outfit!
10/2/2009	The tooth fairy brought me quarters again - of course I still had to put my container downstairs because I do not want her in my room. Callie had her play today - it was 4th and 5th but the rest of us got to watch it. Daddy came too and videotaped it for Mommy because she was subbing. Callie packed her overnight bag when we got home because she was invited to sleep over at Lauren's house. They picked her up at 5 - I was kind of sad about it at first. But Charlie and Gloria came to pick us up and we ate at HuHot with them and then they came over to play Guitar Hero on our new TV. We were all very excited today because Haley ate baby food - she hasn't had any food in over 2 weeks - only milk and a little bit of squeeze cheese.
10/1/2009	It is October! We woke up to cold and rain today. Mommy subbed so Daddy finished up our lunches and took us to school. Callie practiced her play today. We came home and Callie made us ice cream cones for a snack. While I was eating mine, my other top front tooth fell out! I caught it and showed Callie and then we had to call Mommy to tell her - she was still on her way home. I had hip hop today so Callie and Mommy walked Miley while I was in class and then we headed home for supper. Daddy had darts so Mommy helped us shower and then it was time for reading and bed.
9/30/2009	Today was bubblegum day - Dr. Manning brought us all gum that we could chew so that was fun. After school we had friends over again - this time I had Brooke and Callie had Kathryn. We went out for supper once Daddy got home and then Callie had ballet. Daddy quizzed me on my spelling words and then it was time for me to go to bed. Callie told Mommy today that she really likes our new principal so Mommy is glad about that!
9/29/2009	Callie had orchestra today and she is practicing for her play on Friday. It is one of the first things that Mommy will miss because she is subbing but Daddy is coming so that is good! Dr. Manning lets up pick out of her prize box for certain things (good behavior for so many days, reading logs, etc) and there are always different, fun things in there. The last time I got a tiny stuffed dog and this time there was a Barbie in it!! I chose that of course. When we got home Mommy told us we could have playdates so we had Lauren and Avery over. After they left I saw William, our neighbor, outside so I rode my bike with him back and forth on the sidewalk. We had a great time playing so Mommy waited on supper to give us time to get to know each other better. We ate and then I had to hurry to shower and get to bed on time! Callie and Mommy took Miley on a walk after I went to sleep - they have been doing that once in awhile now and really enjoy their time together.
9/28/2009	We were not too excited about getting up this morning so Mommy had to keep reminding us to hurry. Mommy helped in my classroom again - this time she called groups of 3 back to read with her! Callie had Girl Scouts after school so I played with my DS and helped Mommy pass out things. They made lists of what to bring for their Omaha trip. We had supper when we got home and then Callie and I played until bedtime.
9/27/2009	We got up this morning and watched Survivor on our new TV and then got ready for Sunday School. Callie was in the Creation Station so she made potions and I was in the movie theater so I had popcorn! Daddy and Mommy went to Caribou again and Daddy had his laptop and Mommy worked on homework. We came home and Daddy had to keep working on the TV, hooking things up which apparently takes forever. After lunch, Mara called so I went to her house to play. Jason came over to help Daddy carry out our old, big TV so now it is in the garage. Mommy made supper and then it was time to get all of our things ready for school tomorrow.
9/26/2009	Daddy bribed us with donuts to keep shopping this morning (we were not happy) and we left Miley at home this time. Finally they decided on something and then Daddy decided to drive to another town to get our TV because they weren't going to have it ready until next Friday otherwise!! Of course once he got to the town, they informed him he couldn't lay the plasma TV down to come home, it had to be standing upright. I think he might have said some bad words at that point! Finally they got it to fit it and he brought it home. We all went out to eat at Mama's Ladas - Mommy figured it might be the last nice day to eat outside so we ate on the sidewalk. Jason met us back home and helped Daddy carry everything inside and set it up. Callie and I had fun riding our bikes and scooters with a neighbor boy who happened to be out.
9/25/2009	Mommy subbed at Robert Frost today so we were excited about that. I saw her in the hallways a few times and I went to her room after school - Callie did too. We played on the whiteboards while she finished up and then we went home. Brooke had me over after we got home so Callie did crafts. Mommy was under homework pressure - she was trying to get her essay emailed by 5pm and luckily she just made it! After supper Daddy and Mommy drug us to every store in town (well it seemed like it) so we could find a TV stand for our new TV. We complained a lot and Miley must have had enough too because she tried to get out of the truck and run away - Mommy and Daddy were NOT happy. And we didn't find a stand either - what a horrible night!
9/24/2009	Mommy surprised me with the dress when I woke up so I had to wear it to school. When Mommy got home from subbing she saw my note on the table that said my new dress has 25 ruffles on it -she thought that was pretty cute. I had hip hop this afternoon - I really enjoy that class!
9/23/2009	Mommy had a room parent meeting today so we met her after school in the band room. She had to go over all the guidelines of the school parties and then passed out all the room parent money. Callie had ballet so Daddy put me to bed tonight. Callie and Mommy went shopping for TV stands after ballet and found me a really neat Hannah Montana ruffle dress and found Callie a cute fairy outfit. (not exactly what they were supposed to be looking for but Mommy couldn't resist).
9/22/2009	Callie had orchestra again today. I brought home the sharing bag today. It had a construction paper pumpkin inside that I got to decorate and then a notebook I had to write a story about my pumpkin. I wrote about her going shopping and getting ready for a ball. After Mommy got home from subbing, we worked on getting Haley to eat something (still only will drink milk) and then we got ready for our school's pizza picnic. We met Daddy there and bought our pizza and found a table. The new principal came and sat down next to us - she knows Mommy really well now and so she remembers us too! We left after we finished because our big TV broke last night. Mommy and Daddy said this month is not a good month for them - first the water heater, then they had to throw away all that food, they have lots of vet bills and now this. But Daddy is excited to get a new TV because now we can get a skinny one. We looked at quite a few of them but didn't make a decision yet.
9/21/2009	Our Artist in Residence started today - she is teaching us skits about how character counts. The 4th and 5th graders will get to perform what they learn next Friday to the rest of the school and parents too! Mommy helped in my classroom today! We are making weather books and she helped us with the glitter and gluing cotton balls on. After school it was our very first Daisy meeting. We have 6 girls so far but one couldn't make it so only five today. We made puppets and learned about the lady who started Girl Scouts. Of course I was so exited because I know all this stuff already so I was a bit of a show off. When we got home Mommy helped us make apple crisp and we took turns peeling the apples. After supper Mommy went to a meeting about how people want to change the day we go back to school so Daddy put us to bed.
9/20/2009	We had Sunday School again this morning! Callie was supposed to be in the computer room but none of the other fourth graders showed up so they put her in with the 5th graders instead so she did games! I was in the productions room and we could dress up as characters and cross the river - it was fun! We came home and played, ate lunch, and then at 1, Jason and Abby came over! We all went to the apple orchard together. First we played on the hay and then we took the hay ride out to the trees where we picked lots of apples. After we finished picking, Daddy bought Mommy a cool peeler and apple slicer tool from the apple store. We headed home and Daddy grilled hot dogs and sausages - Jason and Abby even stayed to eat!
9/19/2009	Mommy walked over to get Callie this morning at 9. She had a good time at the sleepover. Callie and I played together while Mommy worked on her PTA things today - she has to get ready for her room parent meeting in a few days. Daddy had to mail a package so we rode our bikes with him to the grocery store. He went to Sam's club later and when he brought the food in, he found out our basement freezer door was not closed all the way and so everything was thawed! He and Mommy had to go through all the food and throw most of it away -they were not very happy. After supper, Daddy mowed while we took Miley on a bike ride. We were both pretty tired so we were in bed by 8 tonight and Mommy & Daddy had time to watch a movie.
9/18/2009	Mommy subbed today so Daddy took us to school and since Callie had orchestra he drops us off in the back so she can put her instrument away. We made applesauce in my classroom today with some of the apples our teacher got at the apple orchard. We all got a turn in turning the handle to peel the apples and then we all ate a slice of apple too. I didn't like the applesauce though - it had chunks in it - yucky! Once Mommy got home Callie was ready to go to Kariss'a birthday/slumber party so we walked her over there. Then I invited Brooke to sleep over! She couldn't stay over night but she did stay until 7 so we played school. After Daddy got home we all went to McDonalds for supper and then we stopped to play at a park until 7. Daddy and I went to the grocery store after that so we could try to pick out some different foods Haley might eat. No luck with the ones we tried tonight though - but she does drink milk so that is something I guess.
9/17/2009	Mommy had to take Haley to the vet today - she lost another pound and is way too skinny. She doesn't even want to eat anymore so we are all very worried. Mommy told us they did an ultrasound on her (and had to shave her belly so she looks funny) but still couldn't give us any answers. We are trying a different medicine and have to just hope it works because she doesn't have any weight left to lose. We were all pretty sad today.
9/16/2009	Mommy subbed so I helped Daddy pack my lunch this morning. I always tell Mommy about this particular naughty boy in my classroom and today I told her he didn't even have to go to the principals office! But I told her he did have to go the nurse because he has a very bad cough and I even felt sorry for him. Mommy and Daddy were talking about Kanye West and the whole Taylor Swift episdode the other day which they had to explain to us because we really like Taylor. Anwyay we watched the video and Mommy said "he just wasn't very nice was he?" and I agreed he wasn't and said "and he even has black skin and they are usually funny" Mommy and Daddy had to try to hold back their laughter because I started to get upset. Callie had ballet so Daddy helped me study for spelling and I read my homework book to him.
9/15/2009	Callie had orchestra again -they are still only plucking and not using their bows. I was Super-Reader today so I brought a book from home to read to my class. I decided on Fun Dog, Sun Dog! Mommy met us for lunch - Callie and I both have lunch at the same time this year so we both just went and sat at a table with her by ourselves rather than trying to sit with one class or the other. I went to Brooke's after school while Callie and Mommy worked on her mystery together. We had tacos for supper and then Mommy had to leave for a PTA meeting. We had to shower and I read my books to Daddy before going to bed.
9/14/2009	Today was my field trip to the apple orchard! Mommy came to school after lunch and Ella and Leah got to ride with us. We rode on the wagon and then we each got to pick 8 apples. Afterwards we played in the hay and then a lady cut up an apple so we could all have a slice along with some apple juice. We got back to school just in time for the bell to ring and then it was time for Callie's girl scouts. I got really bored and became a pain so Mommy really wishes she had a place for me to go during the meetings. After supper I practiced reading my book because tomorrow I get to read to the class!
9/13/2009	Happy Grandparent's Day!! We started Sunday School today - Callie and I decided we wanted to give it a try after we had so much fun at VBS. They do it a lot different from when Mommy & Daddy went to Sunday school because we rotate through classrooms/teachers. We will have the same "shepherd" that will guide us from teacher to teacher and our group stays the same (grade level). This week I was in the Oasis which is with the games teacher and Callie was in the "Void" which is the movie room. She got popcorn and watched a movie and I played SORRY and some other games. We learn about the same bible story for 5 weeks while we rotate through (the other three will be computer lab, creation station which can be art or cooking, and a production studio where we act it out on a mini stage) and then we will learn a new bible story over the next 5 weeks and do it again! We thought it was super fun. We got groceries afterwards and Daddy said that is something else that changed. Sunday mornings used to be super slow when he worked there but it was crazy busy today! The rest of the day we were just lazy and played at home all day. Daddy grilled and then we got all of our things ready for tomorrow - back to school AND I have a field trip!
9/12/2009	This morning we all went to the Sidewalk Arts Festival but there wasn't anything too exciting so we didn't stay long. After lunch it was time for me to go to Ella's birthday party! It was at Color Me Mine so they dropped me off and went shopping until it was time to pick me up. Daddy took us to the church after we got home so we could show him how good we can make baskets! Charlie and Gloria came over after that and we all went to Qdoba for supper. After we went to bed they all played Guitar Hero and played trivial pursuit.
9/11/2009	Callie had orchestra again today so she took her violin to school. My class put on a play and a puppet show of two stories that we had read. Two other first grade classes came in our room to watch. I told Mommy I was going to be happy and embarrassed - happy because it was stuffed animal day and embarrassed because I had to SAY a line in front of people! We all did a good job though and no one made a mistake.
9/10/2009	Mommy had PTA work at our school this morning but I never saw her there. Then she took Miley to the dog park and met Kim and Izzy there! After school, Callie and I played for awhile and then it was time for Hip Hop! Mommy and Callie read in the car while they waited but they came in to watch the last five minutes of my class like always. Jason and Alyssa came to watch Abby too so then we all decided to eat at Jimmy Johns - Daddy met us there. After supper Callie and I rode our bikes down to the church because they have a basketball hoop that is lowered down there. Mommy brought our ball and we played - I even made quite a few baskets! Mommy said we wiill keep thinking about getting our own hoop in our driveway but in the meantime I asked her if we could keep coming to the church and she said yes!
9/9/2009	Mommy subbed this afternoon but once she got home we both had friends over. I had Alisha and Callie had Emmi. After supper Daddy helped me study my spelling words and I had to read my book to him - we bring a new book home every night that we have to practice reading. Mommy took Callie to ballet and walked Miley there while she waited.
9/8/2009	Daddy dropped us off at the back of the school today because Callie can run in to drop off her violin in the mornings she has orchestra. Mommy said we could have friends over after school but of course neither of us could find anyone available! We played school instead and Callie practiced her violin for our students.
9/7/2009	Happy Birthday Great Grandma Anglin! I woke up and had to run downstairs to check what the tooth fairy brought me. No earrings this time - just 8 quarters! Uncle Tom came over this afternoon and we played Guitar Hero with him for awhile. Mommy wanted to finish her cleaning so Callie and I played most of the day. Daddy grilled and then we had to take showers before bed. We got all of our things ready for school tomorrow - I have to take my library books back and Callie has to take her violin for the first time!
9/6/2009	Today we decided to go to the corn maze! After lunch we headed to the YogiBear campgrounds, which is just right outside of town and they had a cornmaze there. They had questions you had to answer to determine if you turned right or left so Callie and I took turns reading the sheet and we only took one wrong turn! Afterwards, Daddy got us an ice cream snack and while I was eating it, my loose tooth FINALLY came out! Then we walked around the campgrounds to check it out - they have a neat park and pool and they have a big jumping pillow, which we stayed and jumped on for awhile. Callie and I were getting excited togo home because at 6 we were going over to Lauren and Avery's house for a sleepover so we headed home to get ready. Unfortunatly, there was a message on our machine that they had the flu at their house so we couldn't go after all. Callie and I were pretty upset but Daddy said we would do fun stuff so we went out for supper, stopped at Walmart so I oculd get my new CD player, and browsed at Barnes N Noble and bought cookies for dessert there too! We played for awhile when we got home and then it was time for bed.
9/5/2009	I forgot to tell you that I had the sharing bag on Thursday which means you get to bring something from home to share with the class. This month the theme was to bring something from summer so I took my collector's pin necklace from Disneyworld. We also had to draw a picture so I drew us on the airplane! On Tuesdays we take turns being the Super Reader and we get to bring a book to class to read to everyone and my Tuesday is in two weeks! Daddy took us to the zoo after lunch so Mommy could get started on her cleaning and laundry. We saw tons of people there we knew - the Erkonens were there, Callie's friend Kathryn and her friend Jade too! A little bit after we got home Mommy discovered our water heater was leaking everywhere - water was squirting out of the top even! They had to call someone to come out and he told them that we needed a brand new one even though ours is only 3 years old! They were glad it was still under warrently but I guess they had to pay him extra to put it in since it was on the weekend. After supper Daddy mowed while Mommy played croquet and bocce ball with us outside.
9/4/2009	We didn't have school today so we were lazy all morning. Callie and I painted and played and then Jade called around lunch and invited Callie over. We quick ate so she could go and then Mommy and I played the Wii. I wanted to drum so she played guitar and then we switched games and played tennis and bowling for awhile. We also went on a long bike ride to deliver some papers to Ella's mom but it turned out she wasn't home anyway - but it was a fun! Callie came home right before supper and then once Daddy got here we ate. We decided to go to the drive inn theater tonight since we hadn't gone yet this summer and really wanted to. Both features were kids movies - G Force and the second one was Up. We started watching it on our lawnchairs but I was getting chilly and tired 1/2 way through so Daddy and I got in the truck and then I fell asleep. Callie and Mommy got inside after the first movie but she stayed up and watched the second movie and then fell asleep on the way home.
9/3/2009	Mommy subbed at our school AGAIN! I had my first spelling test today and got them all right. Callie had her first science test and thinks she did a good job on that too. We met Mommy in her classroom after school and we played with the whiteboards while she got everything ready for Monday for Mrs. Davids. Then we headed home for a little bit until it was time for my hip hop class. Guess who decided to join my class? Mommy was just leaving when Jason and Abby came in - she was scared at first but she loved it! We rode our bikes after supper - just back and forth in front of our house and we played house outside for awhile. Mommy let us stay up a little later since we don't have school tomorrow - yippee!
9/2/2009	Mommy took us to school today - she was hoping to stay home and work on things there but at 10 Mrs. Davids called her again and said she had tried to go back to school but just couldn't handle it so Mommy ended up subbing at our school again! We met her afterwards and then Callie went to Emmi's house to play. Mommy and played together for awhile and we watched some TV with Daddy - he came home sick from work. We ate supper and then Mommy took Callie to ballet - they had jazz day today so she thought that was fun. I read my homework book to Daddy and then I went to bed. I even had to practice my spelling - I have my very first test tomorrow!
9/1/2009	The tooth fairy came - she brought me 6 quarters and earrings. I thought this was quite funny since I don't have my ears pierced. I had just asked Mommy the other day how the tooth fairy knew Callie her her ears pierced but I guess now maybe she didn't know - she just gives earrings to everyone! Mommy subbed at our old principals NEW school today. She was excited to go check it out. I forgot to tell you that Callie got her violin on Friday! She has been very excited about it and today was her first lesson - although they didn't need instruments yet. She will get pulled out of class on Tues and Fri for Orchestra and then again on Thurs and Fri for ULE so she is going to have lots of work to make up. After school I had Brooke over to play and then we dropped her off on the way to pick up Daddy. His car was at the shop so we had to take him there. He and Callie ate at Qdoba and then ran some errands so Mommy and I ate at Camille's and then we went home to get ready for bed.
8/31/2009	Mommy subbed at our school again today! She even had recess duty so we walked around with her for awhile. After school it was Callie's first Girl Scout meeting! They all got their new vests and folders and worked on a new Girl Scout patch. When Daddy got home from work he was talking to me and asked me if I lost my tooth yet, which he does every day. But then he said "wait, you did lose a tooth, didn't you?" And I immediately freaked out because I hadn't know it and Mommy hadn't even realized it but sure enough a bottom tooth was missing. It seemed extra strange since it was my top one that has just been hanging these last few weeks - no one had even realized my bottom one was that loose! After I thought about it, I told Mommy I did feel something hard in my cinnamon roll we had at school today so now we guess I must have swallowed it. I wrote a note to the tooth fairy but told Mommy I didn't want the note or the tooth box in my room because I didn't want the fairy in my room! She put everything in the kitchen so that made me feel much better.
8/30/2009	We woke up quite rested and ready for our day. We played the Wii for awhile this morning and then Callie and I played cowgirls and we lived on a ranch. Mommy made us lunch and then Callie was invited to her friend Jade's house to play. They have a pool at her apartment complex so Callie took her suit. We rode our bikes over there and dropped Callie off and then Mommy and I went the long way home. We got Daddy and went shopping and came back in time for Callie to walk home. After an early supper of leftovers (blech!) we went on a family bike ride around our neighborhood and then showered and got ready for bed. Back to school tomorrow and Mommy even gets to sub at our school again!
8/29/2009	We went to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa like we normally do and then we went to the Farmers Market. Mommy and Daddy did their own thing so we met them back at home later. I showed Grandma and Grandpa how good I can ride my bike and I almost ran Grandpa over I was going so fast - OOPS! Daddy and I rode our bikes to the grocery store to get lunch things while Callie went with Grandma to the fabric store. She was getting things to make Jace a Halloween outfit and then Callie decided on one too so she picked out fabric for that as well. We all had sandwiches back at our house and then they all went to the movie at the Pavillion. Mommy and I stayed home - she had lots of PTA things to do and she get dizzy at those movies anyway (and I decided I do too!). We all went out for supper at a pizza place - Jace and Amber met us there and then Grandma and Grandpa headed home. Mommy and Daddy put us to bed early because we were quite tired and we were both asleep by 8, right in time for them to enjoy the arrival of Charlie and Gloria. I guess they had fun rocking on Guitar Hero the rest of the night!
8/28/2009	It's Friday!! Mommy subbed at our school today so we were excited about that. Daddy still took us to school because she has to be there quite a bit earlier than us but she was able to take us home. I even came into her classroom! She was teaching a different first grade class but we all came into her room to listen to SDSU athletes that came to talk to us. She had a few kids in her class that were from last year so they knew her and were excited to see her again. After school Grandma and Grandap Ivey came over! We went to Red Lobster for dinner and Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace came too. We hung out at our house for awhile afterwards and then it was time for bed.
8/27/2009	Mommy got called this morning to sub so she was excited but she also had to hurry. We did a great job getting ready by ourselves and getting our breakfast. Daddy finished up our lunches and took us to school. Mommy got home not too long after we did so we told her about our day and not too long after that it was time for Hip Hop! Callie worked on her homework while I was in class and then we headed home. After supper I rode my bike a bit and then it was time for bed. Callie was tired and crying about everything but she had such a bad day that she just couldn't relax and go to bed either. It ended up being quite late so Mommy is not sure what that will mean for tomorrow and she is subbing again - at our school this time!
8/26/2009	Mommy worked on PTA things for awhile at school today and a couple of my friends saw her so they told me but I never did run into her. I sit with Brooke for lunch almost every day and once in awhile I play with Callie at recess. I forgot to tell you that yesterday Mommy picked us up from school but Callie wanted to ride the bus home so she still did but I went with Mommy! Today Callie walked over to Jade's to play - she lives in the same apartment building as Emmi. All three of them ended up playing together and then they both walked her home at 5. Kim and the kids stopped over just for a shortwhile to drop off the next Vampire book Mommy is reading. She had Izzy with her so she and Miley chased each other through the house and had a grand time! After supper I went with Daddy to drop off something at Jason's house and then he put me to bed. Mommy had taken Callie to ballet so they got home after I was asleep.
8/25/2009	Callie and I both woke up this morning around 6 because we had a very loud thunderstorm. The rain was hitting our windows very hard and loud so we crawled into Mommy & Daddy's bed but neither of us fell back asleep. Callie got to try orchestra instruments today - she tried the violin and viola. She sort of wanted to play the viola but her teacher told her it would probably be better to go with the violin since she is so small. She gets to start that next week so Mommy has to find her an instrument I guess. I went to Brooke's house to play after school. Callie and Mommy came to pick me up at 5 and we met Daddy at Red Rossa for supper. Then Daddy mowed while we played outside until it was time for showers. I was NOT happy about having to go inside - I really don't like early bedtimes at all!
8/24/2009	Even though I was asleep by 6:30 last night, Mommy STILL had to wake me at 7. Once I was up though I was in a very good mood so Mommy was glad I was starting the week off rested! We both had friends over after school so that was fun. I had Alisha and Callie asked a new friend she just met this year, Emmi. Emmi lives in the apartments that are just a few blocks from us so she walked over and Callie met her 1/2 way and then Callie walked her all the way home so she could find out exactly which building she was in. Callie also met another new girl to school this year and her name is Jade! In case you haven't figured it out yet, Callie makes friends very easily. Mommy made a quick supper after the friends left and then we took Miley to the pool! One of the pools officially closed for the season yesterday so today they let the dogs come swim in it before they drain it and boy Miley sure had fun along with LOTS of other dogs! She played around mostly in the shallow end but she did jump in the deep when she was chasing another dog but I think it surprised her when she realized she couldn't touch! She swam to the other side though and a nice lady helped her get out because Mommy couldn't get over to that side fast enough. We headed home after that and had ice cream for a bedtime snack - yummy!
8/23/2009	I was up at 7:30 so Mommy was not impressed because she knew I was still tired but I wouldn't go back to sleep. Callie slept until 8:30. We played for a bit and then Mommy and Daddy decided we should go to Chevy's for breakfast so we got ready quickly and headed there. After eating, we stopped at Sam's Club to get a few things and then headed home. Callie was invited over to Karissa's so she scootered over there and then Daddy and I went on a bike ride while Mommy worked on laundry. We ate supper early because I was already starting to fall apart and then I took my bath and was asleep by 6:30. Callie and Mommy hung out and read and then she went bed around 8 and also fell asleep very quickly.
8/22/2009	Grandma made pancakes and Grandpa cut up fresh peaches to put on them - I didn't try that of course but Callie did - she loves peaches. Mommy and Daddy got ready and then we went and ate lunch at Scotty's before going to the fair. We went through the Centenial Village, all the animal barns, and we watched a dog agility competition. We looked at all the rides but I really just wanted to play a game so we found one where you win everytime and Callie and I both "fished" and each won a stuffed frog. We walked around some more and really liked looking at the campers (Daddy thinks we are really weird because we thought that was pretty fun) and then we left the fair. We stopped at Aaron and Alison's house to see Wyatt and their new baby, Cody. We also looked at Aaron's chickens and helped him check for eggs! We met Grandpa at his office after that so Daddy could get an adjustment and then we ate supper at their house. I was getting VERY tired by then and wasn't happy about anything. Mommy was all packed up so we left town about 7:30 and I fell asleep right away!
8/21/2009	I was quite tired again this morning but so far all week I still am excited to go once I get out of bed so Mommy is happy - much improvement from last year! Callie and I both gym today but Callie, of course, had to change clothes for it. After school we helped Mommy pack the car and since Daddy got off work at 4 we were all ready to head to Aberdeen. We stopped in Brookings to pick up supper from Jimmy Jons and then went straight to Grandma and Grandpa Ivey's house. We played and visited until about 10 when we had to go to bed. Mommy and Daddy headed to the fair to see friends after that.
8/20/2009	Daddy took us to school today! I was pretty tired and things didn't go smoothly. I didn't like the clothes I had picked out and then I couldn't get my barettes to work out and I refuse to let Mommy help me with my hair anymore. But finally I was ready. I did a math worksheet in school and we had computer lab today too. I had Hip Hop today - my very first dance class. I was kind of nervous but had fun once I got there. Mommy and Callie walked Miley around the area while I was there and then came back inside to get me. Mommy asked me if I liked it and I told her it was like soccer. I asked her if she remembered how I never wanted to go to soccer but once I got there I had fun? Well Hip Hop is going to be like that I think. We went home and Daddy was just getting home so we all went to Qdoba for supper and then they dropped me and Mommy off so I could get my hair cut. We walked home after that and by then it was time for my shower.
8/19/2009	Happy Birthday Grandma Robinson! Mommy took us to school and then stayed because she had a lot of PTA work to do while she was there. The bus keeps forgetting to drop us off at our corner so we have been getting off at the neighbor boy's stop but we told Mommy we don't mind. I went to Brooke's house to play today! Callie hung out with Mommy for a bit and then they had to take Haley to the vet. She was due for shots but also she has been losing a lot of weight lately so Mommy wanted some blood work done to see if they need to be worried. After supper Callie had ballet - actually she is taking technique this year instead but it turned out that teacher is still on maternity leave until next week so Mommy just got her registered. They took Miley to the dog park instead (Mommy was just going to walk Miley over in the ballet studio neighborhood) and Daddy put me to bed so I was fast asleep by the time they got home.
8/18/2009	I was a little tired this morning so slow getting up but then I was excited again. I even ate hot lunch today (corn dogs & mac and cheese!). Mommy dropped us off this morning and took Miley to meet Daddy at the coffee store - they drank coffee out on the patio and Miley laid nicely by them for once! Daddy worked at a new location today so he didn't have to be at work until 8:30. Mommy got LOTS done after her coffee so she was in a good mood when we got home. We had a snack with her and told her about our day and then we went to play with the neighbor boys again! We rode bikes and rollerblades - they were resting while we did that. Apparently they aren't much into playing outside so they got hot and wanted to rest - and they are BOYS! Daddy grilled for supper and then we took showers and got ready for bed.
8/17/2009	Today was our first day of school! Callie was very excited and ready in about 10 minutes. I was a bit tired so I was more slow moving but still excited to go. Daddy and Mommy both took us and we went to Callie's room first to unload her backpack and then we went to my room to do the same. They walked us out to the playground and hung out with us until the bell rang and then they left. We both had great days and just love our teaachers! I had gym today and I found out they changed the way lunch is so now I have lunch with the fourth graders, which means I see Callie! Last year kindergarteners and first graders had lunch together but now they paired the younger grades up with older grades. I told Callie I had friends to play with now though so I ran away from her when she came to ask if I wanted to play at recess! We rode the bus home and Mommy was waiting for us. We were starved of course so had to have snacks and then we watched tv for a bit. Mommy made walking tacos for supper for a fun Back to School meal and then we played outside on our bikes. We even rode down to our neighbors house because their boy, Nolan, is in my class this year. It is his first year at our school so we haven't really gotten to know him much yet but maybe now we will play more!
8/16/2009	We all went shopping this morning and came home for a late lunch. Callie and I played for awhile and then we decided to go on a family bike ride again. Daddy loaded up our bikes and we took Miley with us to the bike path. We went on a different section this time and stopped to play at a different park. Callie saw Karissa there so we played with her for awhile and then it was time to go home. We had leftover pizza for supper (Callie and I were NOT impressed) and then took baths to get ready for our big day tomorrow. We already had everything labeled and packed in our backpacks ready to go so we just set them by the door and went to bed.
8/15/2009	Today we had talked about going to Okiboji instead of the fair but we didn't do either because it was stormy looking all day. We went to the movie this morning (G Force!) and then headed home to play. Callie had Lauren over and I had her sister, Avery, over until supper time. We ordered pizza and watched Big Brother together before bed. I was so tired tonight I told Mommy I didn't even want a story!
8/14/2009	We went shopping this morning and Mommy took us out for lunch. We were planning on going to the pool later this afternoon but Callie and I got involved in Barbies so we changed our minds and didn't want to go. We grilled for supper and then we all went on a family bike ride on the bike paths. First Daddy took my handle off my bike and put my doll carrier back on and then we loaded up our bikes. Miley even came with. We rode to a park we hardly ever play at and then stopped their to rest and play and then we rode back. We went out for blizzards after that - yummy!
8/13/2009	Mommy had inservice today so we went to play at Kim's all day. Daddy dropped us off right away in the morning and told Kim I would probably lose my tooth this morning (since it was just hanging from my bike accident last night). We played all morning and I hardly wanted to eat lunch because of my tooth - Kim had to cut up my corn dog to make it easier to eat! She took us to the pool after lunch and I was in the big pool at first with Callie & Abby but then I decided to go in the wading pool to play with Megan. We came back at 3 and then Mommy came back not too long after that. We went home for supper and then Daddy took us on another bike ride and this time I didn't have any problems! He even taught Callie and I how to get our bikes up on the curb safer! We were ready for a shower after that and then it was time for bed. And I STILL have my tooth - I just don't want to pull it out or eat anything hard so it might end up being awhile. . .
8/12/2009	Today Mommy told us she needed to unpack, do laundry, and clean up the house so we were staying home all day. Callie and I played house, swimming lessons, school, and did crafts! Daddy picked us up and took us to McDonalds for supper since Mommy was still busy and then we brought her home some food. I wanted to go on a bike ride and show Daddy how good I am doing so we got ready after supper and told Mommy good bye. We rode for four or five blocks when I was trying to get my bike up a curb and somehow the bike bounced back up and hit me in the mouth. I bit my lip and bonked my loose tooth so there was lots of blood and I started screaming! Daddy called Mommy and told her to come get me right away. She loaded my bike and me and I cried all the way home. Daddy and Callie rode their bikes back home too and we all watched a movie while I held a cold cloth to my lip.
8/11/2009	Our last morning camping and we slept in until 8:30! After breakfast Mommy started tearing our campsite down while we played and swang on the hammocks. I rode my bike a lot more - I could even get it started sometimes but it took lots of trys before I could get going. Mommy rode with me for a quick ride before she loaded up our bikes and then we headed to the beach one last time. The may flies were horrible today (thankfully our campsite was far away from the water so we didn't get any there) and walking from the cars to the beach was awful! Scott had dropped Andrew off this morning so he and Callie had fun catching may flies and even Matt started enjoying it too. YUCK! We had sandwiches on the beach, swam for a short bit and then headed home. We had to hurry when we got home and shower and dress so we could get to school. Mommy had some work to do before Open House and she was running late but we were good helpers. Daddy met us then for the actual Open House and we met our teachers. We went to Callie's class first because her teacher actually talked about the year and then we went to mine. I had a scavenger hunt to follow and Callie helped me with it and then I had yummy treats on my desk! We had to go say hi to lots of our old teachers after that and then it was time for supper and bed.
8/10/2009	We actually slept until almost 8 and Callie even slept later than that so Mommy was impressed. We had breakfast and Mommy showered while we played with Megan,Matt, and Abby. We all went on a long bike ride and I did soo good (although my pants did get caught in the bike chain!). We ate lunch and then headed to the beach for the afternoon. It was hot and perfect weather for camping and our campsites were well shaded so when we went back there it was much cooler. We played for awhile and then decided to go to Charlie's Pizza for supper - yummy! I was getting really tired by then so we headed back and got the fire going to make smores. All of us kids were asleep much earlier than last night and then our moms stayed up really late and talked by the fire!
8/9/2009	Mommy and Daddy took Miley to the dog park this morning and then she finished packing the truck for our camping trip! We took off right after an early lunch so we were there by 1:30 and went right to the beach. Kim, Scott, and the kids got there not long after us so we had fun swimming all afternoon. We went to our campsite and Mommy set up the tent while they set up their camper and they were right next to us so we had fun playing and riding our bikes around the circle. I had to have Mommy get me started but then I could go roound and round! Mommy grilled us hot dogs and corn on the cob for supper and then Scott and Andrew left for home (they had football practice and work so didn't stay). We went back to the beach for an evening swim and then made a fire and roasted marshmallows. It ended up getting very late and I fell asleep on Mommy's lap at the fire so she carried me in the tent and put me to bed.
8/8/2009	We all went grocery shopping today to get things for our camping trip and for school lunches. We came home for lunch and then we headed to the pool. Daddy even came with and we decided to go to a different pool this time. Callie and Mommy had gone to it last year but I was at Alisha's so I missed out. We had a lot of fun and Callie & Daddy even went off the drop off slides! We came home to change and then we out to eat at Granite City but decided it wasn't nearly as good since Uncle Tom doesn't work there anymore. Charlie and Gloria met us back home and showed us their new jeep - they even took us for a ride in it and the top was off so we thought that was really cool! After that it was time for bed.
8/7/2009	We hung out at home today - Mommy kept thinking it was going to rain but it never did. We had fun playing though - Mommy couldn't get over how we didn't have fight AT ALl today so she didn't interrupt us. Daddy grilled tonight and then we decided to play the Wii for awhile - we haven't done that much at all this summer. For a bedtime snack, we all went to B&G for ice cream - even Miley got some!
8/6/2009	Today was Tye Dye Day at the crafts down at the park. Mommy had gotten us white t-shirts yesterday so we took those and made really fun shirts. Afterwards it was time for my eye appt and my eye has gotten even better!! She wants me to keep using my drops for three more months to give my weak eye more time to be dominant so it doesn't go back to being bad when we stop. Mommy had to get some things at WalMart after than and then we met Daddy at Cici's for lunch! We spent the afternoon at home since it was raining. Callie and I played village for a long time and then played school while Mommy scrapbooked. It was still raining after supper so I didn't get to practice my bike today but hopefully tomorrow!
8/5/2009	We had to go to school with Mommy again and then we stopped at a couple of stores. We came home for lunch and then it was almost 1pm! I was very excited because while the Girl Scouts went to London's house to swim, I was going to Avery's house to play. Mommy had to pick up 4 girls and then she dropped me off. They all had a great time at Londons and only one of the 12 Girl Scouts couldn't make it. It turned out that 9 of them have the same teacher but unfortuantely Callie isn't one of those 9. Mommy took the girls home and came to get me. I told her we had a lot of fun and I was tired out. I ate supper right away because I was starved and it was left over night anyway so everyone was having something different. Daddy ate quickly when he got home too because then he went to a concert with Brad. I went to bed right away so Callie and Mommy had some time to work on her mystery spy agent packet.
8/4/2009	Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa Ivey! Today Callie and I woke up early so Mommy is hoping we can start getting changed around for school. We went with her to school so she could get some work done and then we talked to a few teachers too! I saw Mrs. Dreke's room but she wasn't there and we saw Mrs. David's room too. Hopefully we can see them all during Open House. After lunch Mommy worked on her PTA and Girl Scout things while Callie and I played and helped her too. After supper Daddy mowed while Mommy worked in the yard and she found us two frogs to play with! We had tons of fun with them and then we let them go and played house. Finally Mommy helped me ride my bike - it has been awhile since we tried and I just really took off this time. I could ride about three houses before I fell or Mommy had to grab me. I was so excited and told Mommy I was just ready to go do it myself now. Of course I realized I can't quite do that yet but I am very ready to just go zooming off. I would play for a bit and then ask her to help me again so we got lots of practice! Needless to say, it was quite late before we went to bed.
8/3/2009	I played at Alisha's house this morning so Mommy and Callie went to the library. Callie found a cookbook there with a recipe for pizza sandwiches so she and Mommy made those for lunch. They picked me up around 2 so we could go swimming! Dena and the kids met us there later so we had a lot of fun. We even stayed after 5 for family swim so we didn't get home until 6:30! Daddy had the grill ready to go and he made us hamburgers and hot dogs - yummy. We had Purple Cows for a bedtime snack and then it was time for bed - all that sun made us both very tired.
8/2/2009	Mommy made muffins this morning so we ate and then were just lazy until lunch time. Daddy thinks he broke his toe the other night so he said he has to be lazy. After lunch it was finally hot (for some reason Aunt Bridget is getting days in the 90s and 100s and I don't know if we have had a 90 degree day all summer!)so we went to the pool! Daddy helped Callie work on her diving and I just swam and swam. I just love swimming now! We came home and Daddy grilled salmon and pineapple. Mommy had a really yummy dessert so they made a deal with me again - I had to try one thing. I licked the salmon and the pineapple - yucky so then I ate corn which I still thought was pretty yucky. But dessert was sure good! Only two weeks left of summer vacation!
8/1/2009	I forgot to tell you that we got letters in the mail yesterday from our school telling us who our teachers are!! I have Mrs. Manning and Callie has Mrs. Stervak! I called Brooke right away and she is in the same class as me and so far Callie only knows that Madison will be in her class too. Mommy and Callie had a shopping date today so they left before lunch. Daddy and I decided to go paint at Color Me Mine - I painted an ice cream bowl and spoon. Mommy told us she would give us each $50 for school clothes (she already bought our shoes so that didn't count) and Callie did a great job at getting the most out of her money. She decided $20 was just too much for only one shirt for example so Mommy was very proud of how she thought about each purchase. Callie went to Derrick's birthday party at 5 so then I had my shopping trip - Daddy came with too. I found two cute outfits and a pair of jeans at Target and then when we went to the mall all I wanted was more shoes. Mommy reminded me of my budget but said if I would rather have shoes than clothes she didn't care so I found a cute pair and then I was out of money. I just really LOVE shoes! We picked up Callie and then it was time for bed.
7/31/2009	Alisha and I were up at 7:30! Her mom picked her up around 9:30 and then Callie was home at 10. Callie told us Titi's grandma made a scavenger hunt for them to go on at her farm. They had to look for flowers, milkweed, snakes (she was even paying $5 for a live one!) and frogs. They even had to scoop frogs out of the pool before they swam - Mommy thought that sounded gross but Callie said it was fun! It was our last day of swimming today and I even passed to level 2 - yippee!! Callie has to retake level 4 but Mommy reminded her that level 4 is a very hard level because they learn so many new strokes so she wasn't upset about it. Mommy dropped us off at home and then she had a meeting at a college. Daddy came home for lunch to keep us company. Mommy has been talking about going back to college and I told her I was going to really miss her. She said she would take classes during the day while I was at school too so I wouldn't even know. But then I asked her "what about nights - don't you have to go live in the dorms?" Callie walked over to Karissa's house this afternoon and I fell asleep on the couch while Mommy was on the phone. After supper we watched part of the Coroline movie and it was sort of scary so then Callie and I insisted we had to sleep with Mommy. Poor Daddy had to sleep downstairs with Miley!
7/30/2009	I was very excited to wake up this morning and feed my fish! Mommy keeps trying to explain to me about overfeeding it but I can't help it - it is just so fun. Mommy took us to Caribou this morning where we had muffins and then Callie picked out earrings and a necklace for Titi. She also found a pair she bought for herself with her own money. We headed to the shoe store after that where Callie and I each bought new tennis shoes for school! Mommy had to rush to get us to swimming on time after that. We played for awhile this afternoon and then Titi's mom picked up Callie at 3 for the birthday party/sleepover. She got to go to Titi's grandma's to swim and have a bonfire and then back to Titi's to sleep. Mommy said I could ask Alisha to sleepover and finally her came home and said she could come!!! We picked her up on our way to Sonic and ate supper there and then we played until almost 9pm and then Mommy helped us set up our sleeping bags and tucked us in. Of course it was still closer to 10 when we finally fell asleep so Mommy is sure tomorrow should be lots of fun. . .
7/29/2009	Happy 14th Anniversary Mommy and Daddy! Daddy came to our swimming lessons today and then afterwards Mommy took us to the store to get our fish - yippee! We decided we would share one beta fish so Callie picked it out and I named it Rainbow. I couldn't wait to feed it and all day long I kept running to the bathroom to check on him. We had Tina come babysit so Mommy and Daddy could go out to eat and to a movie. I told Mommy that I wish the day would go fast but then go really slow once Tina got here. We had tons of fun with her - she played games with us and we watched a movie and had ice cream. She told Mommy we both went to bed very easily for her too!
7/28/2009	Mommy took Miley with to swimming today. Callie worked on her kneel dive at the end. After lunch Callie and I played school while Mommy worked on our Florida pictures and Girl Scout things. It sounds like she is going to be a Daisy leader for my grade now too! Daddy came home a little early because had a dentist appointment at 3:30 and he didn't go back to work afterwards. We all went shopping for school supplies. Callie picked out a lunchbox and I picked out my backpack. We met Uncle Tom and Jace for supper at HuHot. Then we went to get goldfish but that didn't work out. Mommy had signed us up for a goldfish grab at our wading pool in August where we could decorate the fish bowl and then scoop out a fish. We have a camping trip planned with friends over that day now so Mommy said we could just pick out a goldfish and bowl BUT then the worker told us the only fish that ever survive bowls are betas. Daddy thought we should just get a small aqaurium then and Mommy said no way - lets just get a beta and they can share (you can only have 1 beta in a bowl because they fight). I was just bawling and it was almost 9pm so we gave up and came home. It took forever for me to fall asleep because I was so upset and actually Callie was too so tomorrow should be interesting. . .
7/27/2009	We had swimming lessons today. After lunch I had Alisha come over to play and Callie had Kathryn. We were all pretty tired today so we just stayed home tonight and went to bed early.
7/26/2009	Callie and I played around home today - we were all sort of lazy since we had a big weekend. Mommy even said we should nap if we wanted to go to Wild Water West. We weren't very happy with that idea but I did lay down and even fell asleep! Callie just rested and read in her room. Mommy woke me up around 3 so I could get my suit on and get ready to go. The evening rate was from 4-8 so we wanted to get there right at 4! It was SOOO much fun. It was really hot out so that was nice and then I did some more swimming to show Daddy all that I had learned. We decided to go check out the wave pool after that and it was really neat. They had lifejackets for us to wear and then we rode the super big waves. We rode tubes down the lazy river after that and then went down the water slide (I went on Mommy's lap since I am still not 48 inches but I was wanting to go by myself). We ate supper there - I had a corndog and Callie had a walking taco - and then we went down more water slides. After awhile I was burned out on water stuff so Daddy and I played mini-golf while Callie and Mommy went back in the wave pool and went down the slide more times. We went on the bumper boats last and then headed home after they closed at 8.
7/25/2009	We were all quite excited for the Airshow today! Daddy wanted to be there before 11 so we didn't miss anything so we all had to get ready right away. He went to pick up Eric and Charlie and Gloria met us at our house so we could all ride together. We had to park a long ways away and walk so I was very tired by the time we finally sat our lawnchairs down. The planes were really neat - they did lots of tricks and after the raptor, Daddy took us walking around to look at the ones on the ground. I had pizza and a snowcone for lunch - Callie had steak on a stick and then at 2 the Blue Angels performed. Jason, Alyssa, and Abby met us there too! After we went home to let Miley out, we headed to Jason & Alsyssa's house for supper. They grilled and we played in Abby's jump house. We were all a bit sunburned (even though we did use sunscreen - it was super hot out there!) and very tired so we came home around 10 quite ready for bed.
7/24/2009	We rode our bikes to the craft this morning and it was sponge painting with our feet! Callie jumped off the diving board in swimming today and my class jumped in the deep end with life jackets AND then we could also jump off the diving board too but I didn't want to so I just watched, along with a few others. Mommy said we had to take a nap after lunch because we have been up so late and this morning we woke up at 7:30 - way too early. Plus she knew the races would be late tonight so we all laid down and slept until 3! Kim called a little after that and said she and the kids were at Dairy Queen by our house so we had them stop over to play for awhile! Once Daddy came home and they left we got ready for the races. They were fun but very loud so I was glad I brought my earplugs! We walked in the pits afterwards so Callie and I could see the cars up close and then we both fell asleep on the way home.
7/23/2009	We went to swimming again - Callie's class did relay races and Mommy can't get over how fast Callie can swim and still breathe the right way! I opened my eyes under water today to find the ring - it was my first time and I was very proud of myself. We went home to eat lunch and then played all afternoon. Daddy came home at 5 and we were ready to go to Charlie and Gloria's. We brought hot dogs and watermelon and grilled out at their house. Miley really enjoyed running around their yard/woods and visiting their dog, Cayenne. Mommy is pretty impressed she just stayed in the right area and came back when we called her if she started getting too far away! We had a bonfire after it got dark and then I was falling asleep so we decided to come home for bedtime.
7/22/2009	I am doing so goood in swimming - Mommy is amazed at how quickly I am picking up skills this time around! She is also anxoius to watch Callie go off the diving board but they haven't done that yet. Callie had saved some money for a little cart with out pull out drawers she wanted for her American Girl clothes so we stopped at the store on the way home to buy that. After lunch we worked on our dollhouses for awhile and then went to the pool. We decided to go to Frank Olson (just a regular pool) for the afternoon since it doesn't get as busy and then after supper we would go to the "fun pool" with the lazy river and tube slide. We met Daddy right at 5 at McDonalds and then we headed over to Drake Springs to swim. It was our first time taking him swimming this summer so we had fun showing him all the things we can do. We came home and showered and then watched the rest of Back to the Future - we had watched the first half the other night.
7/21/2009	We watched a movie last night and didn't go to bed until 11 then woke up this morning around 7. Mommy picked us up at 9 and of course we had LOTS of fun but I was tired. I started crying right away that I didn't want to go to swimming but Mommy said tough luck. It was sunnier out than yesterday so it was much warmer and once I got there I was just fine. Callie is working a lot on her strokes and I floated by myself for awhile! We ate lunch with Daddy at the grocery store down the road - they had a gtill out and were selling hamburgers and brats and amazingly I ate part of a brat. Callie and I played and worked on our dollhouses this afternoon and then Mommy went to buy a new scrapbook toy she has been eyeing for awhile. We helped her try it out and then it was time for supper! Daddy grilled chicken and Mommy said I could only get a root beer float if I tried one thing tonight. They had corn on the cob, watermelon, and chicken. Well I just wanted to lick first but she said that didn't count - first I licked the watermelon and said that was yucky so I went to the corn next. I liked licking the butter off of it but couldn't figure out how to take a bite with my loose front teeth so I moved on to the chicken. I decided that was pretty good so I take a couple of tiny tiny bites but then I was done. Mommy said even though it was fairly pathetic, for ME it was a huge step! I went to bed early tonight, right after my root beer float!
7/20/2009	Swimming lessons started today! IT was chilly and sprinkling but we enjoyed them anyway. Mommy called a paint store and they told us we could have 3 old wallpaper books for our dollhouses! We were quite excited so we picked those up on our way to get groceries. We worked on them for a little bit but then Lauren and Avery called and invited us to sleep over after supper so we had to quick pack and eat! Daddy had already eaten so he was bummed that he and Mommy couldn't go out for supper but Callie told them to just go have dessert. They dropped us off and then they decided to go to a movie instead.
7/19/2009	I woke up around 9 but Callie was still sleeping so Mommy and I tried to be quiet around the house and then Callie woke up at 10. Daddy and Eric slept until after lunchtime! Grandma and Grandpa stopped for a little bit to say good-bye and deliver some peas which Mommy and Callie LOVE to snack on. They almost ate the whole bag already! After they left, we headed to Red Rosa to eat lunch (just us three girls) and then came home. Eric was up and needed a ride but Daddy wasn't up to driving so Mommy took him home and then when she came back we decided to make doll houses. One of Callie's girl scout patches requires the girls to make a dollhouse out of a box so we wanted to do it early, especially after Mommy told us all about the one she made when she was a girl. Mommy cut out windows,doors, and added walls for the rooms and then we started decorating. We made furniture out of raisin boxes, toilet paper rolls, egg cartons and straws. I cut out pictures from magazines of a TV and computer to glue on the walls and Mommy found felt for carpet and curtains. We had to quit before we were done because it was time for supper and early bedtimes
7/18/2009	Callie slept until 9 and then she and Mommy took Miley to the dog park. I slept until 10! We just decided to hang out at home today so we could be rested up for tonight. Charlie and Gloria came over around 5 and then we all went to JazzFest again! Grandma, Grandpa, Bill, & Charlene sat by us and we also found LOTS of other friends that came and sat with us too. We had fun playing with Gillian and Adam again and even Jace came out for awhile. We walked around with Mommy and looked at booths for awhile and Callie had to have corn on the cob again while I shared another funnel cake with Mommy. After we left, some of Mommy & Daddy's friends came over to our house for a party so I was excited because that meant Gillian and Adam were coming too. We made up beds in the guest bedroom and Mommy put on a movie for us - I decided I was ready for bed around 1am so Daddy took me upstairs and tucked me in. Adam fell asleep after that and then Callie went to sleep around 2. The grown ups played Guitar Hero with the new drums - Mommy even sang this time and she NEVER sings so I guess they all had a good time! Mommy went to bed at 3:30 and Daddy was up until after 4 so I guess we will all be tired tomorrow.
7/17/2009	Mommy took us to Caribou this morning so she could get coffee and we got coffee cake - yummy! After lunch, we met Kim and her kids at the zoo. We hadn't seen them for a long time so it was fun. We played at the park afterwards and then it was time to go home and get ready for the Jazzfest. Charlie and Gloria came over to ride with us and we got there around 6:30. We even found Uncle Chuck and his friends right as we were getting out of the truck so we walked over with them and found a spot together. A little later Grandma Robinson called saying they were there now so we found them too - they came with Mommy's Aunt Charlene & Uncle Bill. Then later Brad, Dena and the kids found us too so we all sat together in a big group. I had nachos for supper and Callie had a taco in a tub then later she had an ear of corn while I had a funnel cake. I fell asleep around 10:30 but I woke up in time to watch the fireworks and then I fell back asleep again while Daddy carried me to the car.
7/16/2009	Today was finally our lazy day. We played and watched a movie today. Mommy grilled a pizza for lunch but she coudln't get our big grill to work so she just used the camping grill (which I think Daddy thought a little silly but hey whatever works right?). Daddy mowed after supper and he even fixed our ladder to our fort. THEN he decided to go buy the drum set to Guitar Hero! He and Mommy have been talking about it for awhile and she was going to get it for an anniversary present but they decided they wanted it in case people came over this weekend after Jazzfest. Needless to say, we ended up staying up late playing the drums!
7/15/2009	Mommy was hoping for a slow day today but little did she know that would NOT happen. First I was invited to Alisha's to play so Mommy took her there. She and Callie hung out and read together and then after lunch I called and said Alisha and I wanted to come home to play at my house so her mom dropped us off. Callie invited Karissa over so the house was full of kids. Mommy made us brownies and then at four she walked everyone home. We got ready for tonight - it was Hot Summer Nights downtown. We walked around and saw all the corvettes and Harleys everywhere. We saw Uncle Tom, Jace, and Amber for a bit but it was so crowded so we lost track of them. We watched a band for awhile and then it was time to head home for bed.
7/14/2009	Today was a crazy day! We walked over to the park for crafts this morning and since Alisha and her sister were there we played for awhile too. Then we walked home and got ready to go to the community center for a magician. He was really good! We came home to eat a quick lunch and then went to the library for a puppet show. Dena and the kids were there so we invited them over to play afterwards. Daddy came home after work to get us AND Miley and we headed to the park for Kids' Night! We played lots of carnival type games and jumped on the inflatables and amazingly Miley did a great job with all the kids around. She got a lot of attention!
7/13/2009	We didn't have anything going on today since tennis and VBS is over and swimming doesn't start until next week so we slept in and were lazy. Alisha called about 10 and invited me over though so then I got ready super quick and Mommy took me over. She and Callie worked on crafts together and then they picked me up at 12 to eat lunch before going to Lauren and Avery's house. Mommy had the house all to herself all afternoon! She picked us up right before supper - she got lots of scrapbooking done. We had baths and an early bedtime tonight but then I woke up around 11 with my leg cramps again and I really wanted a banana but of course Mommy didn't have one. She gave me motrin instead and tried rubbing my legs for a bit and then I went back to sleep.
7/12/2009	Daddy went to the movie this morning so we just hung out and played while Mommy cleaned their bedroom. We decided to go eat a very late lunch at Olive Garden and then stopped at Barnes and Noble to get our free books! Callie and I both read 8 books this summer and then B&N lets you pick out a free book. I got one about a dog named Biscuit and Callie found an American Girl Mystery book. When we got home Charlie and Gloria came over to hang out. Miley and Cayenne played fetch together for awhile and then they both chewed bones.
7/11/2009	Callie and Lauren woke up around 7 and we woke up a little bit after that. Mommy made rolls and then we played until their parents came to pick them up around 9:30. Daddy finished mowing this morning (Did I tell you we were SO suprised when Mommy mowed the back yard yesterday because we didn't know she knew how!) and then after an early lunch we headed to Brookings for the Arts Festival. I found a necklace I just had to buy and then we saw American Girl clothes - Mommy was sure I was going to throw a fit because by then I had spent all my money but I was really good about it. Callie bought a cute outfit and glasses and then we headed home. Daddy took us out for ice cream after supper while Mommy worked on her scrapbook.
7/10/2009	We made stuffed turtles today in VBS and were able to keep one and the other one we dontated to the Salvation Army. It was our turn to make the snack today too so we were excited. We frosted graham crackers with blue frosting and then put chocolate chips down the middle so it showed how the water parted. We came home and helped Mommy clean because then she said we could have a sleepover! I invited Brooke and Callie had Lauren come over. We played on the slip-n-slide and Mommy filled our wading pools too. When Daddy came home he filled a bowl and dumped water on Mommy so then we started having a huge water war! We decided to all go to Dairy Queen for supper so we could have ice cream for dessert and then we came back home to play more. Once the lightning bugs came out we decided to start catching them - Lauren and Callie caught 20 of them but we let them all go before bed. Mommy popped popcorn and then Brooke and I were in bed by 10:30 (we slept in my room) and Callie and Lauren were asleep by 11:30 in Callie's room. OH and Mommy thought I was very thoughtful because when she went to find a pillow for Brooke to use, I asked her to put a kid's pillowcase on it to make Brooke feel better about sleeping here rather than a plain old white one! I even ran and asked Brooke if she wanted a princess one or a Tinkerbell one.
7/9/2009	At VBS we made little candle houses for our candles we are getting tomorrow. We also had strawberry shortcake with whipped creme, but they used vanilla wafers instead of cake. I of course didn't eat the strawberries but the wafers and whipped cream was good. Mommy took us swimming after lunch - I brought Alisha with and Callie was hoping Gillian would meet us but she ended up not coming. It was cloudy and a little chilly when we got out of the water but not bad AND because of that it wasn't busy at all so that was great. After supper we had our VBS program! Callie and I sang four songs and then it was time for the ice cream social. We brought cupcake flavored Magic Shell and heath bits for our toppings - yummy!
7/8/2009	Today we had crackers with pizza sauce and cheese for a snack - it was symbolizing Passover, which we learned about today. We made lightning bug keychains with beads and they even glow in the dark! I went over to Alisha's house after lunch to play so Mommy and Callie invited Dena and the kids to meet them at a park. They even chose a park that had the crafts going on which made me a little jealous when they picked me up and told me but I got over it quickly.
7/7/2009	We were excited to head back to VBS this morning. We got our tshirts we made yesterday and we made crocodile magnets today. We also played a water squrting game where I was the queen the guards had to try to keep me from getting wet (the bad guys all had squirt guns). Well they didn't do a very good job because I was quite wet when Mommy picked us up. Of course Callie and I argued over who got to tell Mommy what first and she said she just might have Daddy pick us up tomorrow cuz she was ready to scream! She tried to have us take turns but then we fought over who goes first and then I thought what Callie talked about was two things and it went on and on. . . After lunch we played at home for awhile and then we went to the Mime show at the library. Gillian and Adam were there too so we sat by them. We turned out library reading logs in and got all of our prizes, one of them was a free personal pan pizza so we all went to Pizza Hut for supper. We were going to go to the play after that but it started storming so it was cancelled.
7/6/2009	Mommy had to wake us up this morning for Vacation Bible School! We were both very excited to go there - this years theme is Crocodile Dock. Callie and I are in the same large group (the opossums) but she is purple and I am yellow so we have different smaller groups. We painted t-shirts today, sang songs, played a shoe game, and had a snack of cheese, lettuce, and chips. Mommy picked us up at noon and we came home for lunch. Grandma Ivey called to say she was getting out of the hospital - yippee - so we waited to find out when to pick her up. Finally at 3 we decided to go hang out with her while she was waiting for the last doctor to sign her out and then we brought her to our house. Mommy made a quick supper and then Daddy, Callie, and Miley drove her to Watertown to meet Grandpa. Mommy and I stayed home so I could get to bed at 8. We sure are happy that Grandma is feeling better and on her way home!
7/5/2009	This morning it was time to pack up and head home. We got everything in the truck, including Miley, and headed to Great Grandma Ivey's so we could visit her. Miley came inside with us and after a few minutes of pacing, she actually laid down and was pretty calm so Mommy is happy that she is finally turning out to be a good dog. We ate pizza slices for lunch on our way out of town and then both Callie and I napped the first half of the trip home. We had thought Grandma Ivey was going to be released today but found out that she has to stay a bit longer. We quickly unpacked the truck, Daddy mowed, and then we picked up subs and ate with Grandma at the hospital. Grandpa had already left for home so he could get back to work tomorrow. Grandma was looking and feeling MUCH better than when we saw her last and she even ate a sub with us! Then it was time for showers and an early bedtime because VBS starts tomorrow.
7/4/2009	Happy Fourth of July! Grandma made yummy cinnamon rolls and then we headed to Storybook Land. I wanted my picture by almost everything so I kept telling Daddy to take my picture while I posed - Mommy thought I was rather amusing. We decided to try out Aberdeen's Qdoba for lunch and then headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We spent the afternoon playing and lighting smoke bombs and bottle rockets. Grandpa grilled for supper and we ate outside and then did more fireworks! I didn't like some of the loud ones so Grandpa found me some earplugs which made it much better. Miley was a little nervous about some of them too but she was fine if she was in her crate just watching us. It was a great night (except all those pesky mosquitos!) and we all had a very good 4th of July!
7/3/2009	We were excited because Daddy had today off so he told us he would come to town. However he wanted to mow, see Grandpa who was coming back to town, and see Grandma again as well before coming. It was raining so we didn't go to Storybook land but instead went to visit Mommy's friend, Don, and check out his new studio. We even saw our picture there so that was neat! We stopped at the grocery store to get a few things and then we headed back for lunch. We played outside for awhile and I watched Hannah Montana and Little House on the Prairie while we waited for Daddy and Miley to get there. Daddy's friend, Eric, was coming to town anyway so he dropped Daddy off around supper and then Grandpa grilled steaks for supper. After we ate, we were going to shoot off fireworks but it was raining and I was tired so Mommy put me to bed and soon Callie went to. I slept with Daddy inside but Mommy and Callie slept in the camper with Miley.
7/2/2009	After breakfast we hung out and played for awhile. Grandpa had to go to the bank (although I had told him he should just call in sick but he didn't follow my advice) so we decided to wait to go to Storybook Land. After lunch, Mommy took us to the pool - they sure have a really nice one so we had lots of fun there. We came back and took a nap because we were quite worn out from our late night and swim. Mommy got ready to go out to dinner with friends and she tried to wake me up before she left but I just wouldn't stay awake so she finally left. Grandma told Mommy later that I did cry for awhile when I woke up but finally I went to join them for supper - they took us to Wendys! We came back for a bonfire and Smores - yummy. Mommy came home and tucked us in bed.
7/1/2009	Wow it is July already! Callie had her last tennis lesson this morning and then we came home to finish packing up the truck. Mommy had to run a couple of errands, we stopped to say good-bye to Grandma in the hospital and then we headed out of town. I took a short nap on the way so Mommy was happy about that and we were in Aberdeen about 4. Uncle Chuck had left his camper there for us so we had to check that out and play in it a bit and then Grandma made us a pasta supper. We played outside for a long time and then Mommy and Grandma made up the beds in the camper and we went to sleep. I was scared at first and made Mommy sleep next to me in bed but I did finally fall asleep.
6/30/2009	We rode our bikes to the park this morning to do the craft - they were making freedom people out of yarn. We went to the hospital over lunch and met Daddy, Uncle Tom, Jace, and Great Grandma Anglin, and Kim who were visiting as well! We spent the afternoon playing house while Mommy started getting ready for our trip tomorrow.
6/29/2009	Callie had tennis this morning and then we went to visit Grandma Ivey. We came home around lunch time and then Mommy had tons of laundry to do so we can get ready to go to Aberdeen for the 4th of July! After supper, Daddy and Mommy took us to the play at the park which was really good and then we stopped to get ice cream. We called Grandma to see if she wanted any or for us to visit, but she wasn't feeling very good at all so we left her alone to rest.
6/28/2009	Happy 40th Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa Robinson! This morning, Daddy and I took donuts up to Grandma's hospital room with Grandpa and visited. Mommy and Callie had breakfast at the campsite and then took a long bike ride. They had to start taking down the tent and while that dried out a bit, they read in the hammock. After everything was packed up, they ate lunch in Yankton and headed home. Grandpa left town today after lunch and so when Callie and Mommy got back, they unpacked the truck and we headed to visit Grandma again.
6/27/2009	This morning we woke up in the truck - I told Mommy it was kind of fun but kind of weird sleeping in the truck. She said we seemed to sleep well because she woke up a lot and we were always sleeping soundly! Our tent was full of puddles but thankfully most of our bedding was with us and Mommy had put our other things in tubs so nothing else got wet. She hung up our wet stuff and moppped up the puddles and then we headed to HyVee for breakfast. It was still muddy and not much fun to be outside. We had donuts and hot chocolate and then shopped at Kmart for awhile - Callie even found jeans! When we got back it was pretty warm and everything had dried up nicely. We played, went on a bike ride again, and then ate lunch. We headed to the beach after that and swam until Daddy got there! He told us Grandma was feeling a little better but they still aren't sure what is wrong with her. He grilled supper with us and then we all went on a bike ride - even Miley! She liked our campsite and was much more calm than she was when she came with last year! We had a fire and smores and then Daddy decided to go home and I was so tired and crying about everything so he took me home too. Callie and Mommy headed to the movie again and then went on a walk in the dark to check out campsites Christmas lights. They also laid in the tent and talked for awhile and slept without rain!
6/26/2009	Mommy wasn't sure what to do since Grandma was in the hospital but we decided to go camping - we were going to go yesterday but of course wanted to see Grandma! Today she had to have surgery and she would be sleeping lots so we headed out of town in the morning. Mommy set up the tent, with Callie's help of course, and then we ate lunch. We headed to the beach after that. It was dreary but hot and very windy so there were lots of waves, which we really like! We went back to the campsite and made pizzas on the grill - yummy. We went on a bikeride after that and then after playing at the park for awhile, we decided to do our fire and smores even though it wasn't dark. We wanted to be done in time for the movie at the amphitheater! They had a nature movie on at 9:30 and they gave you free popcorn and a freezie pop! It was fun but it started looking like a storm so I was scared. Daddy had called and kept us informed of the weather. Mommy had the truck all cleared out in the back in case it got bad and we all went to sleep by 10:30. Sure enough at midnight the winds and rain came but Mommy had a hard time waking us up - even though the tent was leaking badly and there were puddles all over we were still sleeping! Mommy got me out to the truck first and then went back and really had to shake Callie hard to get her up. We all slept in the truck the rest of the night!
6/25/2009	We woke up to see Grandpa Ivey and Maggie at our house! Grandma had to come back to the hospital in the middle of the night. Grandpa took us along to drop Maggie off at the kennel this morning and then he headed over to see Grandma. We went with Mommy to go to the mall. I had to have my glasses adjusted because I fell down the stairs yesterday and they got really crooked! Afterwards we met Daddy at the hospital for lunch. Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace were there so we all ate together but Grandma was sleeping so we ended up not seeing her. We came home to play and then at supper we took subs up there and this time she was awake so we visited for awhile. She was still quite tired so we didn't stay long and Grandpa came home shortly after us.
6/24/2009	Callie had tennis this morning - she and Madison were the only two at class today so they got lots of help. We stayed for the play afterwards and even saw Dena and the kids there too! Mommy took us to the Girl Scout office afterwards and then grocery shopping so it was late when we got home. After a very late lunch, we went to Dena's for a water balloon fight. Uncle Tom and Amber brought Jace over to play because Mommy was going to to babysit him. He liked the balloons after he figured out it was ok to throw them! We brought him back home with us and Mommy made spaghetii for all of us and then Uncle Tom and Amber came to get him. I was tired out and ready for bed soon after that but Callie stayed up and read for quite awhile.
6/23/2009	We walked to the park today for crafts - this week is pirate themed crafts and games so we decorated bandanas! It started looking like it might rain so Mommy said we should skip playing and head home. Good thing too because 1/2 way home it got SUPER dark and started getting windy. As soon as we got inside we heard the radio saying 60mph winds were coming and all of our trees were bending way down. I was quite scared and so we all went downstairs for awhile. After lunch I had Alisha come over to play and Callie had Camille over. Mommy took all four of us to the library for a book reading with songs and then we came back to play more until their moms came to pick them up.
6/22/2009	Callie had tennis this morning and it was already really hot out by 9am! We came home and played until lunch and then decided to get ready for the pool. Alisha's mom called and said they were going to our new pool so Mommy decided we could go there too. Callie invited Madison to go with us so we picked her up and got to the pool right at 1. Mommy said we had to get there right away because on a hot day like today it would hit capacity very quickly and she was right! It was crazy busy there but we had fun. Callie and Madison took off and did their own thing - went down the slide, swam in the deep pool, and went on the lazy river. I played with Alisha for awhile but she had other friends there too so I ended up spending most of my time with just Mommy. We went on the lazy river a few times and played in the kids pool, which is still about 3 feet deep on one side so it wasn't too babyish for me. We dropped Madison off around 5 and then Daddy was home for supper. We were all super tired from our long day in the sun so we all went to bed early!
6/21/2009	Happy Father's Day! We gave Daddy his presents right away and then we took him to Taco John's for breakfast (his favorite place) and now we have one just down the street! We were mostly lazy today since it was raining out but after lunch Daddy did take Callie to Sam's Club - I wanted to stay home and play more. Daddy grilled steaks and pineapple with cinnamon on it - which they said was very good but I didn't try it.
6/20/2009	We were super tired today so Callie and I slept until amost 9 am! Daddy mowed right away and Mommy worked on putting our camping things away and then we got ready to go to Falls Park for the World Festival. They had lots of countries flags up and food booths from all over the world as well as other cultural vendors. We watched Indians dance and we did world crafts too! It was super hot out and Daddy ended up getting sunburned. After we came home, Kathryn called Callie and invited her over to play so Mommy and I went shopping to get Daddy a present for tomorrow!
6/19/2009	We all slept in until about 7:30 which is late when you sleep in a tent! Mommy had made muffins so we ate breakfast and played at the park. Later we went on another long bike ride and then it looked like it might rain so Mommy took us to the fish hatchery and then the dam/visitor center. We came back to eat lunch and as Mommy was cleaning up it started sprinkling but then it stopped and got really sunny! Mommy tore down the tent and packed everything up so we could head to the beach. We spent the afternoon there and then after showering we headed to our favorite pizza place in town. We dropped Lauren off around 8 and then took baths and got ready for bed.
6/18/2009	Mommy woke up to storms this morning so she figured that didn't look good for camping. But we waited it out and by 8:30 it cleared up and she checked the forecast again and amazingly it had changed for the better! We packed up and Daddy came home at lunch to help with the bikes and then we picked up Lauren at 1. We were able to check in right away so we went to get our tent up first. Mommy did most of it by herself so Callie, Lauren, and I checked out the park (which was very close to our campsite) and rode our bikes around. Finally Mommy was ready to take us swimming so we headed to the beach. Lauren was so excited because not only had she never camped, she hadn't even swam in a lake before! She LOVED it. We swam until 6 and then headed back to the campsite so Mommy could start the fire. We made our own pizzas and cooked them over the fire and then we had birthday cookies for dessert. We decided we wanted to swim again so Mommy walked us over to a beach that was closer to our campsite but she just watched while we swam. We came back and went on a long bike ride and then we had our fire and smores. I was getting really tired so we headed to the tent around 11 and I fell asleep right away but Callie and Lauren played cards in their "room" (Mommy had put the walls up in our tent). Mommy expected it to rain in the night but it never did so we lucked out!
6/17/2009	Callie had tennis this morning and for once it was actually really nice out! We stayed for the play afterwards and then Mommy had to stop at the grocery store to get things for our camping trip. After lunch Callie invited Karissa to go swimming with us and I tried to invite Alisha but she wasn't home. I had hoped she would be at the pool but she wasn't there. After about an hour I ran into Brooke and I was so excited but then it turned out she was just leaving so I never did find anyone to play with (well besides Mommy that is). Callie and Karissa found Madison so they all had fun swimming and going down the water slide - Mommy hardly saw her all afternoon! We ate a quick supper after Daddy got home and then we all went downtown for Automania to look at all the neat cars! The General Lee was even there, along with the actress who played Daisy Duke so Mommy and Daddy thought that was cool. There also an Elvis look-alike singing on stage so we watched him for awhile too. I was pretty tired from our big day at the pool so we headed home and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
6/16/2009	HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY CALLIE! We let her open my present this morning - I was very excited to give it to her. She is reading a new series called 39 Clues and I told Mommy I wanted to give her the third book. She liked it! We went and picked out donuts for breakfast and then at 9 we headed down to the park for crafts. Today we made acrobats out of clothespins and wire! It started raining as we headed home so we played inside the rest of the morning. After lunch it cleared up and even was sunny so headed to a different park for a Ventriloquist show - it was great! Callie decided for supper she really wanted to eat at the Brazillian Restaurant so Mommy said that was fine but she and I would go somewhere else since it was so expensive and we don't eat that much meat anyway. We all met back home for her yummy ice cream cake and gifts. Mommy and Daddy already gave her the DS (before our trip) but they also had a couple of other small gifts and her very own MP3 player! She was excited and confused since Mommy had told her she wouldn't get both of those things but it turned out her DS was used so it was cheap and the MP3 player was in a $5 bag of WOOT crap so she really lucked out!
6/15/2009	Callie had tennis this morning except after only about 10 minutes of lessons, it started raining so they had to cancel them. We took Madison home with us so she and Callie could have a playdate. Mommy and I played Monopoly and a couple of other games. Madison stayed for lunch so we made a pizza and then I played with them for awhile. She went home at 3 and then at 4 Karissa called to invite Callie over! All this time and Callie has hardly had any playdates and then she gets two in one day! Callie walked over to her house and then at 5:30 Mommy and I walked to pick her up. Daddy was waiting to take us to Qdoba so we could eat supper with Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace!
6/14/2009	I forgot to tell you that Daddy let Miley wander among the guests Friday night and she actually did pretty good - we were all impressed! This morning we went out for pancakes and then we went to the movie, UP. It was really good! Daddy worked with me on riding my bike some more - this whole balance thing isn't coming very easily to me. Later he grilled us shrimp kabobs - well of course I had a hot dog and then Callie and I played outside all evening.
6/13/2009	We were all tired today, especially Daddy! Callie had a playdate at 1 so Mommy took her over and then she came back to clean up the garage. We went shopping for a bit and then Daddy picked up Callie at 4. Jackie came over to bring Callie a birthday present and then we ate supper while watching a movie. We could only watch 1/2 of it though because Mommy wanted us in bed early since we were all tired.
6/12/2009	This morning we woke up to rain. Mommy opened again at 8 but not many people came to the sale. She was tired of being out in the cold garage and had lots to do so she decided to close early. She had everything packed up so when Daddy got home from lunch he helped her load the car for goodwill and then she got the garage ready for our party! We helped her make cheesecake bites and set up the tables and chairs. Daddy's darts team and their families came over around 6. Daddy grilled sausages and hot dogs and then we ate. Callie and I played with Gillian and Adam all evening. Around 9:30 I told Mommy I was getting tired so she put me to bed - Adam couldn't believe I was going to sleep with all the noise (all the guys were playing Guitar Hero - Daddy even was singing!) and he especially was surprised I didn't close my door OR wear PJs. I almost always wear my clothes to bed - I just like doing that and I can sleep with noise, in fact I was asleep in just minutes after Mommy left. Callie stayed up until midnight and that is when Gillian left. It was a fun night!
6/11/2009	We opened our door at 8AM and people were waiting to get in! Callie and I helped by taking price stickers off and bagging the items. PLUS Callie had made homemade bookmarks she was trying to sell so I went and made some too to add to the collection. No one bought any though - well except Daddy. Mommy told Callie she could walk to the park by herself and go to the craft morning. She took Mommy's cell phone and went - she was nervous at first but when she came back she was very excited and hopes she can do it again! She made a butterfly out of wire and beads today. After lunch Dena came to pick us up and take us to the puppet show at the library! Then they came over and played for awhile. When Daddy came home he took me and Callie to the new Taco Johns down the street so we could try it out and then he had to drop us off at home and go to darts. Mommy closed at 7 and then we had to shower and get to bed. Happy 60th Anniversary Great Grandma and Grandpa Anglin!
6/10/2009	Mommy finished cleaning the basement today and then had to get ready for the rummage sale tomorrow. Callie had tennis this morning and it was SOO cold that we just went to the car to wait for her - I colored and Mommy read.
6/9/2009	Callie had Girl Scout camp again - this time Mommy just had to take her to Walgreens and another mom drove them to the lake. Mommy and I played the Wii this morning and then watched some TV together - she was very sore and tired from all the rummage things she carried upstairs yesterday! After lunch, I had a dentist appointment to get my molars sealed. Mommy and I went birthday present shopping for Callie after that and then it was time to pick her up along with a few of the other girls. They had a good time but of course it was cold again today so they didn't get to swim. I wonder when summer is really going to start?
6/8/2009	Callie had Girl Scout camp today! She was up by 7 and getting ready but Mommy had to wake me around 7:30. Ann's mom dropped her off at the house then because she had meetings she needed to be at and then we met the rest of the girls at Walgreens at 8. Mommy and one other parent drove the girls out to the lake and dropped them off for a fun day. Callie had to pack her backpack with a lunch, water bottle, hat, suit, towel, and her sit-upon. She said they made and ate snacks, did crafts, played games, and sang songs. Her group wasn't up to swim today and it was a good thing because it was very cold! Mommy and I worked on the rummage sale stuff all morning and then after lunch I had Alisha over. Two other parents picked up the girls at 4 so all Mommy had to do was pick up Callie at Walgreens at 4:30. We rollerskated around the garage after supper while Mommy worked out there and then it was time for bed.
6/7/2009	I woke up around 8 but Callie slept until 9 again this morning so Mommy was glad about that! We hung out with Grandma and Grandpa for awhile and then after lunch we all went to Target so Callie could pick out a birthday present. Grandma gave her a watch and then Callie also picked out a DS game. We went to two more open houses after that and then went to Sam's Club. We decided to eat an early supper at Texas Roadhouse and then Grandma and Grandpa headed home. We had to stop and get water shoes for Callie (they are required for Girl Scout camp) and then went home so we could get to bed early.
6/6/2009	We all slept in until 9am! We were lazy for awhile and then Callie had to start getting ready for her recital - she had two performances today! Mommy dropped her off for the first one at 1 and then Grandma and Grandpa Robinson came to town! We took them to an open house - we told them they need to move here. Afterwards we came back to play for awhile and then it was time to pick up Callie. She got done around 5 but had to be back at 6:15 so we just all went to get her, ate at Wendys, and then took her back. We figured we might as well find our seats since the rectial started at 7. Mommy brought my DS so I played that until it started. Callie did a great job! I got really tired though and finally fell asleep after intermission. I had picked out a rose for Callie but Mommy had to give it to her since the recital went until 10pm!
6/5/2009	We walked over to the park for crafts this morning - we made gold medals out of clay! Dena and the kids came over after lunch because their friend Stacy was in town. She brought her son Briston, over later on in the afternoon. We didn't get to play too long though because we had to leave for Callie's dress rehearsal at 4. Daddy met us there - we thought we were going to be able to leave but it turned out that Callie's teacher wanted to redo the first song but she was going to wait until the way end! Mommy asked if we could at least take Callie for supper since the end was a long ways off and she said that was fine. We all went to Taco Bell and then Daddy dropped Callie and Mommy off back at the theater and we went home so he could put me to bed early. Mommy and Callie ended up being there until 9pm! She drove Callie back home, changed, and went out with her friends!
6/4/2009	Mommy started cleaning right away this morning but she stopped at 10 so we could go to the Chicken Show at the library - that was really funny! She made us lunch when we got home and went back to cleaning. I helped her wipe out the fridge and Callie helped do the windows - we really like to help her so we had a fun afternoon. We had breakfast for supper (omelettes, bacon, and pancakes) and then Daddy took me to the mall to get my new glasses adjusted - they were rubbing behind my ears a bit. Callie and I decided to have a sleepover in her room tonight since Mommy has my room torn apart right now.
6/3/2009	I woke up at 7 this morning - usually Callie and I have been sleeping until 8 so Mommy was surprised to see me up when she got back from walking the dog. Callie slept in until 8 - actually Mommy had to wake her so we could get to tennis on time! I played at the park while Callie had tennis and then afterwards Callie and Madison wanted to play too so we all went back over there. After lunch Dena called and invited us over so we went to play with Gillian and Adam. We met Daddy back at home after work and we decided to all go out to HuHot. I was cranky after supper so Mommy said I had to go to bed early. Callie and Mommy hung outside and she rode her bike for awhile and then she had to shower and get to bed too.
6/2/2009	We didn't have to be anywhere today so Mommy started cleaned while Callie and I played. After lunch she said we could have a playdate so I had Alisha over. Callie, like always it seems, couldn't find anyone at home so she was upset. Mommy asked her if she would like a desk in her room and she got really excited. SO they spent the whole day rearranging Callie's room and bringing up the desk from the guest room into her bedroom. It looks really neat in there and Mommy is glad they were able to go through a lot of things and clean out Callie's room. After supper, Mommy had to take Callie to ballet again but I stayed home with Daddy. He mowed while Charlie and Gloria were over doing homework (they don't have internet so they came to use ours). They stayed to play video games for awhile after Mommy got home. They even brought their dog to hang out with us!
6/1/2009	Wow it is June! We were tired this morning so Mommy ended up having to wake us up since Callie started tennis at 9. We made it there in time and there were only 4 people in Callie's class -I think a few were missing though. Madison is in her class so Callie enjoyed that (she is in Brownies). After lessons, it was time for our dentist appointment. Callie and I did great - no cavities for either of us. They did talk to Mommy about how in 6-12 months I will need a retainer to fix my crossbite. They have to wait til my molars are all the way up though since they have to attach it to them. We ate a quick supper and then Daddy took me to the mall to get my new glasses. I finally decided on the pink ones! Mommy took Callie to a ballet rehearsal - her recital is this weekend!
5/31/2009	Happy Birthday Grandpa Robinson! We went with Mommy this afternoon to help her set up the room at the Girl Scout office we used for the bridging ceremony. Then we helped her bake cookies, bars, and cut up fruit! Daddy took us out for supper so she could finish up at home and then get to the ceremony early and we came a little before 7 with all the other parents. Mommy and Michelle were suprised and happy at the turn out - luckily Michelle had 8 folding chairs in her van from the sleepover because the 50 chairs they Girl Scout office had provided wasn't enough! The girls all crossed the bridge after their speaking parts and then everyone looked at all the scrapbooks while having cookies and lemonade. Daddy helped Mommy and Michelle put the room back together and then we headed home.
5/30/2009	The girls woke up this morning at 5:30 - Mommy thought 9am (the time the parents were coming to get the girls) was NEVER going to come. She was very tired but they all were really good besides waking up early! They worked on their scrapbooks one last time this morning, ate breakfast, and played. Mommy tried to sleep when she got home but it didn't work out very well so we all went to the mall for lunch. Mommy and Daddy also had to do some things at the cell phone store and then I looked for new glasses because they told us it would be cheaper to buy new frames and lenses than just replacing my lenses (weird!). I went to Aubrey's birthday party at 2 and Mommy stayed since it was at a big park and the other moms were staying too. We ate supper at home, watched part of the movie, Bedtime Stories, and then went to bed (even Mommy went at our bedtime!).
5/29/2009	Mommy had a lot of things to get done today before the sleepover so we ran some errands with her and then we played while she packed the truck. After lunch we went over to Michelle's to set up the tent and unload the truck. We came back home to finish getting some things together and then at 5 we went back over. I only stayed while the girls were being dropped off and then Daddy came to pick me up. We went to McDonalds and then we had to pick up Callie at 7 to go to ballet until 8 and then took her back to the sleepover. The Brownies practiced their ceremony, had hot dogs and hamburgers, made SWAPS for camp, made their stepping stones, played in the dark with their glowsticks, and had smores. Finally at midnight everyone went to their tents to sleep - Mommy had 6 girls in her tent and Michelle had 5 in her tent (one girl left early because of her allergies).
5/28/2009	Mommy had us make stepping stones today so she could make sure she knew what she was doing before the Brownies do them tomorrow night! Daddy took my training wheels off so I can start learning how to ride without them!
5/27/2009	Happy Birthday Jace!! Today we stayed home and played until late in the afternoon when we decided to go to Barnes and Noble for a snack (and a coffee from Mommy). We met Gillian, Adam, and Jacob there too! Callie and I each had some money that we used to buy a book too. We came home and wrapped Jace's present and then it was time to go. Daddy and Callie went to his party - it was Cici's while Mommy and I went to my soccer pizza party at Pizza Ranch. We sat and ate with Alisha and her mom so that was fun. Our coach gave us gummy lifesavers too since our team name was the Lifesavers! After the soccer party we headed to Cici's so we couls have some cupcakes and watch Jace open his gifts BUT he was not feeling well and crying so they decided to skip the gift opening and just take him home. Poor Jace :-(
5/26/2009	Daddy had to go back to work today. Mommy woke up early to walk Miley before he left - she said she forgot how much she enjoyed her morning walks last summer. Once we got up, it was time for showers and then after breakfast we went shopping. Mommy needed to get things for the Girl Scout sleepover Friday and we bought flowers to plant too! Brooke invited me over to play this afternoon so only Callie helped plant them but Mommy saved a few for me to do tomorrow. Callie had ballet pictures tonight so she and Mommy had to go to the photography studio for those so Daddy and I had date night at Qdoba.
5/25/2009	Uncle Tom came over today after lunch and we went to Best Buy with him and Daddy (and Jace too!). They came back to the house with us and I gave Jace a ride in the jeep - he sure liked it! We drew with sidewalk chalk and then Amber came over too. Uncle Tom and Daddy grilled fish for supper and we all ate together. We opened the sandbox for Jace and let him play with our pretend grill - which he really liked! After a bedtime snack of Dairy Queen treats, I was quite ready to go to sleep!
5/24/2009	Mommy had to work on laundry today and Daddy had to mow so Callie and I had fun just playing. After supper, all four of us rode our bikes to a nearby park - even Miley came with! I saw my friend, Raegan, there too so we played with her for awhile!
5/23/2009	We slept until 9:30 and then ate breakfast at our motel one last time. Mommy packed up while we got ready and Daddy took everything to the car. We were sad to leave but sort of excited to get back home too. We had to take our rental car back to the airport and then after checking in our luggage we ate lunch. Going through security was quite interesting this time! As our things were going through the x-ray machine, they called a supervisor over and about 4 workers were watching. We couldn't figure out what bag they were so interested in at first. They even brought over some tool they were prodding the bag with and finally they brought it out and asked who it belonged to! It was our camera bag so Daddy had to go over to an area with one of the guards. They asked him if there was anything that would hurt him and then they told him not to make any movements towards the bag while they opened it up! Apparently a plant we had bought that was in a test tube type container was up against our camera battery and some cords so they saw battery-wire-container and thought bomb! Callie and I were quite nervous about the whole thing but Mommy explained it to us and all was fine so we could get on the plane. We were not as nervous about it this time and I sat by Daddy so we had a good time looking out the window. We landed around 5pm and Brad brought the truck to the airport for us so we picked up subs for supper, went to get Miley, and came home. Callie and I had fun playing for awhile and then it was time for bed.
5/22/2009	This morning was our character breakfast Mommy had reserved. It was at Chef Mickey's which is located in the motel that the monorail goes through! Mommy didn't know if I was up to going but I decided I wanted to so we all left in time to be there by 10am. After they called us to sit down, Goofy came right over and hugged us. We went to get our food (it was a breakfast buffet) and then Mickey and Minnie came over. We ate for awhile and then Donald Duck and finally Pluto (my favorite) came. We had a lot of fun but my tummy was still not back to normal so I was ready to head back to the room to rest. Daddy and Callie were planning on going to the Kennedy Space Center but it started POURING on the way back so they changed their minds. It turned out that there were even tornado warnings for the Disney Park area and Daytona was flooding so we just stayed in our room until 4. We did some shopping at Downtown Disney after that, ate supper, and I was ready for bed. Callie and Mommy finally were able to enjoy the pool - she even made new friends - and then they headed back to the room to start packing before they came to bed.
5/21/2009	We slept in until 9 this morning and then got ready for Disney Studios. Daddy was excited to ride the Rockin Roller Coaster so he did that while we watched a High School Musical performance. He also got us FastPasses for the new Toy Story Mania ride but it was SO busy that they weren't until 6pm! It was actually sunny out and silly Mommy hadn't put the sunscreen in her purse. She had it every other day and we didn't need it and now the day we do, she didn't have it! I was really tired and not having much fun so we decided to eat lunch but then I just started crying so Mommy knew it was all getting to be too much for me. Daddy took me back to the motel so we could nap and hang out for the afternoon. Callie and Mommy watched a Beauty and the Beast show, rode The Great Movie Ride, and ate supper in a really neat restaurant where they ate in cars and watched a movie (like a drive in theater). We came back and met up with them in time for the Toy Story ride which was really fun! We also watched the Muppets 3-D movie and then it started raining again. Mommy was very excited to watch Fantasmic at 9 and we had to get seats a little after 8 so we were sitting in the rain for 45 minutes. I was not happy and very tired again but Mommy hated to leave - althoug they had been warning us the show might be cancelled due to the weather. It ended up only being delayed & at 9:15 it started. It was quite a production so we were glad we stayed but I was done for by the end and Daddy carried me to the car. I started feeling worse and ended up throwing up in the parking lot. They got me food at Burger King because I hadn't eaten much today and then I went to bed.
5/20/2009	Mommy woke us at 8 and we were at Epcot by 9:30. It was sunny out so we were excited to run around and look at all the pretty character bushes and flowers. Daddy got us fastpasses for Test Track while we watched a performance and then we all went on the Nemo ride. We walked through the Fairy Gardens and Callie saw all of her favorite fairies, including Tink, made out of bushes! Finally it was our turn on TestTrack and that was so much fun - we really zoomed around the track in our car! We rode on a tour of green houses, ate lunch in a food court and then rode Soarin, another new popular ride. I was more nervous for this one because it took us up high with our feet dangling (so I sat criss cross in my seat) and then we watched a movie making it look and feel like we were actually flying! Mommy really loved it but I decided it wasn't one of my favorites. It started raining after that so we rode the Figment ride and watched Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3D movie. They even had puffs of air around our feet when they were showing mice on the screen so lots of people screamed thinking it was mice running around but Mommy had warned me about this so I wasn't scared. It was still raining when we started touring the countries so Mommy was sad about that. We saw Mulan in China which I was really happy about but after that I was anxious to leave. We were all wet and our feet hurt. We stopped in Mexico to see Donald Duck and rode the Spaceship Earth ride in the big ball before leaving. We ate Mexican food on the way back to the motel and then went right to bed.
5/19/2009	Mommy had to wake us a few minutes before 10 so we could get breakfast before they closed & then we tried to swim. It was chilly so we moved to the hot tub but then it started raining so they came & closed the pool. After eating sandwiches in our room, we headed back to Magic Kingdom, in the rain again. We took the monorail over this time so we could go through the motel and then we headed to Adventureland. We stopped to buy hats so the rain would stop dripping on my glasses and then we saw Rafiki from Lion King and took our picture with him.We toured the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, rode the Pirates of the Caribbean & the Jungle Cruise all without any wait at all! The parade was at 3 but since it was still raining they changed it to a rainy day Character Motorcade instead. I was very excited because Pinocchio gave me a high five and Mr. Smee came over and tried to take Tink off my hat! We went through the Haunted Mansion next, had a snack of hot chocolate & cake to cheer us up & then we saw Country Bear Jamboree. Finally the rain stopped so we rode the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster! I was so excited to go on it - Mommy thinks I am going to turn out to be quite the adventure rider that Daddy has been looking for! We all loved it so we rode it again, changing partners & then they said we could just stay in and ride a third time since no one was waiting! Callie & Daddy rode a fourth time but Mommy had a headache so she didn't want to (I was sort of annoyed with her about that!) We rode the Disney Train back to the main gate and heard music so stopped to watch some characters dance to a street celebration until it started pouring! We stopped in a store to wait it out - Callie & I traded more pins while we were there. We headed back to the motel for warm showers & ordered pizza before bed. Mommy had to stay up and dry our jackets, hats, & shoes because everything was soaked!
5/18/2009	Mommy woke us up early this morning so we could get to the Magic Kingdom right away! We took the ferry over and headed towards Fantasyland with a quick stop to take pictures with Cinderella's step-mother and sisters. We rode on Snow White first and then on It's A Small Ride (which we rode on twice since there was no line and there is so much to see!). We saw the Mickey Mouse 3-D movie, rode Peter Pan, and then it started to rain! We ate lunch and put on our ponchos to head to Toontown. We saw Mickey and Minnie's houses, rode a Goofy's Barnstormer (a kids' rollercoaster which Callie almost didn't want to go on but I did!), and then saw three princesses! We headed back to the motel for a nap and came back around 6 for supper. It was STILL raining so we toured Tomorrowland in ponchos and couldn't take many pictures. We rode the Buzz Lightyear ride and then headed to find a spot for the night parade. Luckily the rain finally stopped so it was fun to see all the characters go by and wave and after that we watched the fireworks! Mommy and Daddy are pretty impressed that Callie and I enjoy rides this time and we have all had a good time even with the rain! We traded our first two pins today too so we got brave in asking the cast members. It was midnight when we got to the motel so we all went right to bed.
5/17/2009	We slept until after 9 and then went downstairs to eat breakfast. They had lots to chooose from including french toast sticks and bacon! Mommy unpacked and organized our room while we all got ready to go and by 11 we were on our way to Animal Kingdom! It was hot out and lines were long so Daddy got FastPasses for Everest Expedition (a new roller coaster) and we stood in line for Kali River Rapids. We loved that ride - especially since we got wet and cooled off! We ate lunch while Daddy went on his roller coaster FOUR times and then he met us at the Boneyard - a fun playground in the Dino USA part of Animal Kingdom. We headed to "Africa" next to go on the Animal Safari ride and then after catching the last part of the parade we saw the Lion King performance. The park closed at 5 so we found Joe's Crabshack (a place Daddy loved last time) to eat supper. Callie, Mommy, and Daddy all had crablegs but I had a kid's cheese pizza instead. We all ate dessert and then it started pouring so we were glad we were inside! I went right to bed when we got to the motel but Callie went with Daddy to buy some groceries and to find herself a lanyard to start pin trading (I had gotten mine already).
5/16/2009	We picked Callie up at 9 this morning. She had a fun time at the sleepover. They played dress up, watched a movie and even sat in the hot tub! I had a soccer game after lunch but I was so excited to go to Florida that I really didn't care much about playing but Mommy insisted it would help pass the time. Finally around 4 we left to pick up subs and go to the airport! We checked in our luggage and then ate our subs while waiting for Dena and Brad to come. We visited for a bit and then they took our truck back home for us and we went through the security lines. Mommy had prepared me for the taking off our shoes part but she forgot to mention that I had to walk through the metal detectors alone and I wasn't so sure about that but I did it. Callie and I were nervous about taking off but I didn't mind it too much. Callie was very scared - holding Daddy's hand tightly and freaked out every time the plane made a noise but once we were up all was fine. We landed at 10pm their time, found our rental car and drove to our motel, which was about 45 miles away so we both fell asleep in the car. We woke up long enough to glance at our room and then went back to sleep, along with a very tired Mommy and Daddy.
5/15/2009	It was our last day of school today!! I forgot to tell you that Mommy took us to Caribou yesterday morning to celebrate - we had muffins while she had coffee (we amazed her by how fast we were in the morning when she offered Caribou to us!). This morning Mrs. Dreke brought donuts and Callie had donuts in her class too! We had the awards ceremony and then we ate lunch outside in the grass. Later in the afternoon, Mrs. Dreke took our class outside to draw with sidewalk chalk and eat popsicles. Mommy went to help scoop ice cream in Callie's class for root beer floats so Callie was very excited to see her! Mrs. Dreke knows I like to play school so she sent me home with LOTS of things for my school so I am very excited to play it now. After school we got ready for Camille and Ella's party. Mommy dropped us off at 4 and we blew bubbles, had a squirt gun fight, and made candles! We ate pizza and then Mommy came to get me (the younger kids ended the party early while the older ones slept over). I came home and helped Mommy & Daddy in the yard - I even helped Daddy put a pretty blue egg back in a bird's nest!
5/14/2009	Callie and I brought our big art packets home today so Mommy had fun looking at all our art projects from the year. We had track and field but Mommy says it is hardly the track and field day she used to have. Ours is only an hour and we just rotate through stations outside. I had soccer pictures at 5:30 so we had to eat early and head to the field. My game was afterwards and I scored another goal!!
5/13/2009	Callie played a duet in music class today on her recorder. She was nervous but Mommy said she plays so well at home that she would do just fine. I had Alisha over after school - Mommy did some more packing today. We went to Cici's for supper - tomorrow is actually Robert Frost night but we are too busy so we went tonight and just helped a different school.
5/12/2009	Our fifth grade buddies came to visit our class one last time today. We visited about what we are going to do over summer vacation. My buddy, Sierra, likes to give me high fives so I told Mommy I really like her. We learned about maps in school today and we all had a map of the United States. First we had to find SD, then Mrs. Dreke told the class to look for Florida because that is where I am going in a few days (I got all embarrassed). Callie had lots of homework before ballet - she is trying to finish her Sioux Falls project. We drove around taking pictures of the attractions the other day and now she is using them to make a brochure!
5/11/2009	My very last Monday as a kindergartner! Mommy is starting to take things down in our room now and she is even putting together big packets of fun things we get to take home for summer vacation!
5/10/2009	Happy Mother's Day!! We went and got Mommy coffee this morning and let her open her gifts. We got her a fancy carousel of scissors for scrapbooking and Callie and I had each made her something at school. Mommy wanted to clean and do laundry today so Daddy took us shopping to give her time to get that done and when we came back we all went outside to play. Callie and I rode our bikes and then I drove the jeep. Daddy started grilling and realized he was missing one ingredient so he and Callie rode their bikes to the grocery store to get it so Callie thought that was great fun. After supper Daddy helped us with baths while Mommy walked Miley and then it was time for bed.
5/9/2009	I forgot to tell you that yesterday morning was Pastries for Parents! We get to go to school early (7am) and have donuts and bagels with our parents. This time was also even more special because it was a time to say good bye to our principal since she is leaving at the end of the year. However we were just getting ready to leave when Charlie called Daddy and his van had broken down on the highway into town! Daddy went to help him out so he missed the donuts but we went with Mommy. Today my soccer game got cancelled because the fields were too wet from yesterday's rain so we went to the zoo for the afternoon. I couldn't wait to show Daddy and Callie the baby monkey! We ate an early supper at Camille's afterwards and then Mommy worked on Girl Scout things all night while Callie and I played and had another sleepover in her room!
5/8/2009	Today was my big field trip day. We left around 8:45 to the zoo and hoped and hoped it wouldn't rain like the forecast said it was going to. We saw the cute baby monkey and two new bears that just came to our zoo. We had a lot of fun but all the kids were getting really hungry near the end. It just started raining when we were headed into the museum so it was good timing! Mommy had to take a few kids at a time into the bathrooms - it was chaos she said because there were preschools and other large groups of kids doing the same thing! All three kindergarten classes then got back on the bus and went to the park for lunch. Lucikly we had a covered picnic shelter because it was still raining. We had pizza, gogurts, and cookies! We were supposed to have games at the park for the rest of the day but obviously the rain changed that so everyone went back to school instead. We watched a short movie in our class while the parents set up the games in the lunchroom and then we had our stations there instead. It was fun! We had our faces painted, played with a parachute, did an obstacle course and all kinds of fun things. We met Daddy at the mall after work to eat supper, get my eye drops (we are trying those instead of the contact) and then I went shopping with Mommy so she could find some shorts for our trip and Callie went with Daddy to get his hair cut. THEN Callie and I had a "sleepover" together in her room.
5/7/2009	Mommy helped the kids fill in blanks on a Mother's Day poem that described their moms (excpet Mrs. Dreke helped me with mine of course) and she said it was pretty funny! One kid thought his mom weighed 1000lbs and another boy thought his mom was probably 88 years old! I had a soccer game tonight at 7 so Mommy took Miley over to the dog park while Daddy and Callie watched me do the practice drills. Mommy & Miley came to watch my last half of the game and then we had to get home to bed because it was late!
5/6/2009	Mrs. Dreke was back today so I was glad and so was Mommy. Callie had her field trip today - she went to the pioneer village at the Fairgrounds with all the other third graders - the fourth graders stayed back at school with a sub. After school, I had Alisha over. Callie tried to have Titi over but she was busy so she and Mommy hung out instead.
5/5/2009	Mommy told us we had to hurry this morning because she needed to be at work early. Mrs. Dreke was gone (her daughters were sick) so Mommy needed to get the literacy centers set up for the sub. I forgot to tell you that yesterday was 50s, 60s, and 70s day so Mommy was dressed up like a hippie - she even put her hair in pigtails that were brushed forward! The older kids in the lunchroom thought it was neat but I don't think my friends really knew what a hippie was. Callie had ballet tonight so Mmmy took her there while Daddy and I went to Barnes & Noble to get gift cards for our teachers since it is teacher appreciation week at school.
5/4/2009	Today was Callie's last Brownies meeting. They only have a sleepover left and then they bridge to Junior Girl Scouts at the end of May! They worked on invitations to the ceremony and then finished up their scrapbooks - they are going to have them displayed at the ceremony for the parents to look at. We came home and Mommy took Miley for a quick bike ride, made us supper and then took me to my soccer game at 6! It started raining while we were playing but not hard enough to cancel the game. It was a great game though because I scored my VERY FIRST GOAL!! I got the ball in the middle of the field and I kicked it two times to make it down the field and in the net without anyone catching up to me. Daddy was sure disappointed he missed it. He got to the game late but he said we should go to Dairy Queen to celebrate!
5/3/2009	Mommy decided she better work on the inside of the house today since yesterday we were outside all day. She cleaned and did laundry while Daddy took us and Miley back to Charlie and Gloria's to get a few things we forgot last night AND to pick up our chair that Charlie fixed!
5/2/2009	Today was really nice outside so Mommy said it was time to work on the garage and yard. Mommy trimmed all the bushes and we helped clean up all the sticks. Daddy mowed while Mommy cleaned the garage out. Then Mommy cleaned out her truck really good and finally took Miley for a bike ride. Daddy took me to Claire's birthday party at 3. It was at the zoo - we saw the baby monkey there and touched a snake! Daddy came back to pick up Mommy and Callie and they went to Charlie and Gloria's house. They had just remodeled their kitchen so they checked that out and then hung around outside until it was time to get me. Daddy & Charlie came to pick me up and then we went back to his house. We went fishing and caught a lot of fish but most of them were tiny. Callie helped Charlie reel in a big one though but they let it go. We made a bonfire after that and made hot dogs and roasted marshmallows. Well they roasted fig newtons since they don't eat marshmallows. It got pretty late and I wanted my blankie so it was time to get home for bed. We had to check for ticks first because we were in the trees and Daddy had 3 of them but we didn't have any thankfully!
5/1/2009	Happy May Day! Our toaster broke so we couldn't have waffles or toaster strudels for breakfast which made us sort of grumpy but Mommy promised she will get a new one soon. I was excited because it was our pizza party today that we won from going to Cici's before Easter. All three kindergarten classes came into my class and we all ate pizza and had pop for an afternoon snack. After school I went to Alisha's house and we made May Day baskets and delivered them to her neighbors. I told Mommy one house had about 10 baskets on their steps already! When we got home I got sad that no one had delivered any baskets to our house - I told Mommy no one must like us. Then at supper our doorbell rang and I got so excited but it was only a Girl Scout dad delivering some papers to Mommy. Finally awhile after supper I got my May Day basket I had been hoping for. Brooke delivered one and ran away before I could catch her! I was quite happy after that. Callie and I played awhile outside before bed.
4/30/2009	It was EA appreciation day (that is what Mommy is at our school) so Mrs. Dreke had a big pot of flowers on Mommy's desk when she got to school along with a very nice card. Then the teachers had all got together and made lots of dishes for a special lunch for the EAs. Mommy said there was SO much food she didn't know what to eat first! In literacy centers today we had to match pictures with the same ending sounds and I told Mommy there was one that wasn't right. There was a picture of a lamb and a drum so I told Mommy that it can't be the match because lamb ends with a b! She was surprised I remembered that - I was reading awhile back and wondered what that word was so we talked about how funny it was to have a b on the end. We went to the park after school today. Callie rode her bike, Mommy walked Miley, and I used my new scooter. Mommy also got a gift card for Culvers today from the school so we ate there for supper before Daddy had to go to darts.
4/29/2009	Callie and I had playdates after school. I had Brooke over and Callie had Camille over so we had a lot of fun.
4/28/2009	Today was my field trip so I was excited when I woke up! We had music in the morning and then recess and finally it was time to go. Parents helped drive and Mommy got to drive too so I rode with her of course. We went to the park to eat our lunches - it was a bit chilly but still fun. AND since we were right across the street from where Daddy is working now, he came to join us. After lunch we played until the program started at the Outdoor Campus and then after the program we went to the Butterfly House! It was a great field trip and time to go home once we got to school so the day went really fast.
4/27/2009	I slept all the way until 7 but still had a fit this morning about my clothes not fitting right. Mommy was glad she didn't have to put a contact on my eye considering the mood I was in! Michelle flew home today so we said good-bye this morning before we left for school. At school, we had a talent show and even Mommy was able to come to the gym to watch it. After school, we took Miley to the dog park and my classmate, Leyton, was there with his dog so we had fun playing together. Mommy made a quick supper when Daddy got home and then he had to go to work.
4/26/2009	We played this morning and after lunch we all went to the movie, Monsters Vs. Aliens - even Michelle! It was 3-D so we wore the fun glasses too. We came home and after a bit more playing, Mommy made omelets and bacon for everyone. I was tired and had a huge fit about many things so I had to finish eating quickly and I was in bed by 6. Callie, Mommy, and Michelle played the Wii the rest of the evening!
4/25/2009	Grandma and Grandpa Ivey brought Aunt Michelle back today. We met them at Texas Roadhouse for lunch and then they came over for a little while. Callie left for an afternoon of swimming with her friend, Titi and then I had my soccer game at 2. Grandma and Grandpa left but Michelle came to my game. I played against two of my friends from my class so that was fun! Afterwards we went home for a bit and then it was time for my eye appt again. We met Uncle Tom and Jace at the mall and they all went shopping while just Mommy and Daddy stayed back with me. Mommy almost got it in this time but still not quite. I think she is wondering if this idea is going to work at all. The Dr got it in and out again but we left without the contact and decided we would think about how hard we want to keep trying this. We all went to Mama's Ladas afterwards (Aunt Michelle's favorite restaurant!) and then back home for bed.
4/24/2009	Today it was a lot chillier out so we didn't eat outside today! Callie and I played after school and then we went with Mommy to the dog park. We had to meet Daddy at 5 at the mall for my eye appointment. I am getting a contact to black out my good eye so I work more on getting my other eye stronger. We spent awhile trying to get it in but Mommy or Daddy just couldn't do it. The doctor got it in but it even took her awhile - I just kept wanting to shut my eye. We decided to go eat supper and come back tomorrow to try again. After a quick supper we went to the circus!! I liked the elephants best but I was super tired by the time it was over and fell asleep on the way home.
4/23/2009	It was really nice again today - in fact it got over 90! I wore shorts to school and we were able to eat our lunch outside again. Mommy wasn't in my class much today because she had to help a boy in a wheelchair. I saw her with him outside at recess though so I came over. At first I was shy with him but then I played ball with him. After school I told Mommy that he was very nice. After supper we went back to school because it was our Art Show! We showed Daddy our pictures, had SDSU ice cream, and then went to our 1/2 off Book Fair to pick out a book.
4/22/2009	We had a picnic today for lunch - all the students were able to bring their lunches outside and eat in the grass! Mommy was happy too because that meant she could walk around outside to supervise and it was super nice out. After school we played outside for awhile. Daddy came home to pick us up and we took subs to the park for another picnic. Callie and I played for awhile until it was time to go home to bed. Mommy had to stay up making treats for the teachers' lounge tomorrow!
4/21/2009	Happy Birthday Aunt Bridget!! Mommy said we could have playdates today so I had Brooke over and Callie had Lauren. We played school (of course) and had lots of fun. I keep thinking or more things my school room needs so it can be exactly like my teachers but Mom keeps telling me I just need to use my imagination for some of these things. I really don't like that answer! Callie had ballet tonight so Daddy and I hung out until it was my bedtime.
4/20/2009	Back to school today! Callie had Brownies afterwards and we went bowling which was lots of fun! Camille's mom helped drive today so Ella (her little sister) was with too and we had our own lane to bowl in. Can you believe that I beat every single brownie there? I bowled a 79 while the best Brownie's score was a 68. Ella even beat me - she got 100!
4/19/2009	Daddy had to work today and Mommy wanted to get some cleaning done so Callie and I played nicely most of the day! Daddy grilled supper when he got home and then it was time for us to get ready for bed.
4/18/2009	Callie and I went out to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa this morning - Aunt Michelle came with too. Mommy and Daddy had a coffee date and ran some errands. We all met back at our house - even Uncle Tom and Jace came over! We had sandwiches for lunch and then Grandma and Grandpa were ready to take Michelle to Aberdeen with them. We said our good byes and then played for awhile until it was time for my soccer game! It was raining but not pouring so we played anyway. I wasn't sure I wanted to go at first since it was my first time this season but once I got there I was really excited! After the game I went home with Alisha to play and then Mommy picked me up around 5. We went to see Charlie's classroom/workrooms at his school - he is going to weld our broken chair for us! They came over to our house afterwards and hung out with Mommy and Daddy while we went to bed. Callie slept in my room with me so we had a fun mini slumber party!
4/17/2009	Aunt Michelle flew in today at noon. We were at school of course so we didn't see her until Grandma and Grandpa brought her over to our house around 3:30. She had to leave again to get her bags which showed up on a later flight so we took Miley to the dog park. Daddy got home from work so we all went to eat at Red Rosa - I tried a pizza with only olive oil instead of sauce this time and it was very yummy that way! It was time for bed soon after we got home. Grandma & Grandpa went back to their motel so Michelle just hung out with Mommy & Daddy but they were all tired so I don't think they did anything too exciting.
4/16/2009	I had a fire safety program today and we got a coloring book, a sticker, pencil, AND a neat card you can put in your bath water that turns red if it is too hot! I was very excited about it and had to use it when I took my bath tonight. After school Mommy took us to Grandma & Grandpa's motel to swim. They watched us and after awhile Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace came to swim too! We had to leave before 5 because Mommy had to make a quick supper for us before her PTA meeting. Daddy helped us take baths - Miley decided to join Callie so the bathroom was VERY wet when Mommy got home!
4/15/2009	Grandpa came back to town today AND the good news is that Grandma was released from the hospital today!! She still needs her IV but the hospital is going to teach Grandpa how to do it for her. She is staying in town at a motel until Aunt Michelle flys in on Friday. We are very happy that she is so much better now!
4/14/2009	Back to school today! We had literacy centers this morning and art class - Mommy helps with both of those. After lunch we had a field trip to the Landscape Garden Center, a nursery. We saw trees in their root cellar and of course lots of flowers. Mommy got to be a driver but this time was paid for it so she thought that was pretty cool! We played outside after school since it was so nice again and decided to stay home for supper since we have been going to the hospital so much. We needed showers and an early bedtime Mommy said.
4/13/2009	Daddy had to go back to work today but we had the day off. Callie and I played and then she had a big homework project she had to do so I worked on thank yous. Mommy and I went grocery shopping while she finished up and then we went outside to play because it was finally super nice out! We met Daddy at Grandma's hospital room because he brought pizza over there. Great Grandma and Grandpa Anglin were there so we saw them too. I saw hospital workers outside smoking and I asked Mommy why they would smoke since they were Drs and should know it can kill you - she said that was a very good question!
4/12/2009	Happy Easter! Callie was so excited she woke up at 5:45 and woke me up at 6. We ran around and found all the eggs - they were filled with chocolates, jelly beans, and some with money! Then we found our baskets in the dog crate! Luckily Miley was at the kennel so she didn't eat our chocolate bunnies. We got jump ropes, a book, new sidewalk chalk, socks, and I got a DS game and Callie got a Game Boy game. Grandpa woke up while we were searching for our things and told us he wanted to go out for breakfast so we all got ready. We ate at the Pancake House and then we went to the hospital. We visited for a little bit and when they took Grandma to Physical Therapy we headed home so I could nap. We went back to the hospital around 2 so we could say good bye to Grandpa - he had to head back to Aberdeen for a couple of days to get things organized there. We stayed with Tom and Grandma and then around 4 took her to the cafeteria again for an early supper. They even had ham there so Mommy was happy she got her Easter Ham! After supper we picked up Miley from the kennel and headed home. Callie and I went to bed early so we can start getting back on schedule for school Tuesday.
4/11/2009	Happy Birthday to me! I am 6 now!! I forgot to tell you that when we went to the hospital for the first time and we were walking down the halls I said "Avera - Look No Further" Mommy thought that was pretty funny and I said "What? - That's what they say on the radio!" We were lazy this morning and then met Uncle Tom, Jace, and Grandpa for lunch at the Olive Garden. Afterwards, we all went to the hospital to see Grandma. She is doing very good, although she still has hallucinations. She thought Jace had a tatoo! So Callie and I thought this was funny and we wanted to know what tatoos she thought we had. I had a dog and windmill and Callie had a flower. We left for awhile to go home and then we all met back at the hospital at 6 for supper. This time we got a wheelchair for Grandma so she could come down with us!
4/10/2009	Grandpa Ivey stayed at our house last night and then we all got up and got ready for the day. He went to the hospital and we picked up Callie from Lauren's and then headed over there too. Grandma was doing quite a bit better today - she could say our names and a few other things too. She still can't remember the words for other things but she seemed much more alert so that is a good sign! We came home for lunch and then Callie and I took naps while Daddy and Grandpa went back to the hospital. Uncle Tom visited with Jace there too. When we woke up we dyed our Easter Eggs and then went to visit Grandma again. We ate in the cafeteria this time so that was kind of fun - I told Mommy it was like being in a motel and it smelled like one too! We said good night to Grandma a little after that and headed home for bed.
4/9/2009	Our last day of school this week! Callie went to Lauren's sleepover at 6 and then we went to Cici's for the big pizza contest! If you ate there and put your grade on the receipt then they were going to count which grade had the highest attendance and they will get a free pizza party! I sure hope kindergarten wins. While we were there, Brooke, Ashley, and Avery were there eating too! Grandma Ivey was in the hospital today and then she had to get taken by ambulance to Sioux Falls so after Cici's we went to visit her. She had just gotten admitted and was very tired so we didn't stay long. We are going to say lots of prayers for her.
4/8/2009	We made painted butterflies with colored corn syrup today. Mommy and my teacher helped us drizzle the corn syrup and then we folded them in half and pressed hard to get it to all smear around - they look really pretty! Callie has been taking Dakota Step Tests all week but today she had a sub administer it so Mommy asked how it went with a sub doing it. Callie said it was "ok but Miss Foley has a more proper testing voice". It was kind of nice today so most of our snow is finally melting and we didn't have to wear our snow pants for the last recess! Mommy said this really better be the last time she sees them until next winter.
4/7/2009	Mommy overslept this morning so she had to hurry and thankfully Callie and I were eating hot lunch so she didn't have to worry about that! We made it to school fine and had a good day too. Mommy had to run to the bank after school to deposit the cookie money and I watched part of my new movie, High School Musical 3. We even ate supper on TV trays! Callie didn't have ballet because their competitive dance team is in FL so the studio is closed.
4/6/2009	I was pretty crabby this morning so Mommy knew it was going to be one of those days. We had a sub today so Mommy helped her with the morning routine and then she did lots of work in the workroom so I didn't see her for most of the day. After school we had Brownies and they worked on their scrapbooks. I had brought my new DS but forgot the stylus pen so I became very angry about that and I don't think Mommy was very happy with me. Miley was at doggy daycare because Daddy had a lunch meeting so we picked her up and went home for supper. I had to go to bed early and then Mommy's co-leader came over to help her count all the coookie money. I guess it took quite awhile so Mommy was sure glad she got help!
4/5/2009	I was very excited for my party and of course woke up quite early. Mommy was happy though that Callie slept in until 8:30. We got all ready for the day and then went to the Pancake House for a late breakfast/lunch. Callie had to deliver her cookies there too so they were all happy to see her. We came home and started getting the cupcakes out and the stuffed dogs everywhere. Miley was not very happy about being in her room while all the kids were playing but eventually she calmed down and slept. We doctored our animals, gave them baths and haircuts, and let then sit at doggy daycare while we made collars and decorated dog bowls. After that we had cupcakes and juice and then we put on a dog show. Everyone got a ribbon - Callie's dog won "best eyes" and my dog won "best name". I opened all the gifts after that - there were dog biscuits, dog food, cat food, dog toys, cat toys, and a dog bowl. After everyone left we took all the things to the Humane Society and they were happy to have all the things! We had to say hi to all the cats and dogs of course and then we headed home to open my gifts from Mom, Dad, and Callie. I got some things for my village, High School Musical 3 movie, things for my play school, and a Nintendo DS! We played, ate supper and more cake and then it was time for bed - I was really tired after my big day.
4/4/2009	My soccer game was cancelled today since we were going to get a storm. Mommy walked Miley right away before it got bad and then she had to pick up Callie at 10. Callie had a good time at Kathryn's - they went to the zoo after school and then came home for pizza and cake. They stayed up late of course and woke up early so Mommy said she will have to go to bed early tonight! Uncle Tom and Jace came over today so Daddy could help him fix his computer. Mommy finished cleaning and made my cupcakes! We went out to Chuck E Cheese for my birthday supper - since it is Easter next weekend we are just celebrating my birthday this weekend instead. I helped Mommy set up tables and chairs when we got home and then it was time for bed! It was sure snowing LOTS so I guess we are going to get quite a bit of snow by tomorrow. . .
4/3/2009	I was kind of cranky this morning so Mommy worried it was not going to be a good day for me. However once we got to school I perked up and did just fine (when I got home though I fell apart). I wore my pjs to school and after our last recess, we had a popcorn and pop party while we watched Pink Panther! Mommy thought it was pretty cute watching all the kids laugh and laugh at all the funny things Pink Panter does (it was the old original cartoon). After school Callie went to Kathryn's sleepover so it was just me and Mommy at home. We worked on making pawprint molds and then I watched TV. I went to bed before 7 so I could get a good nights sleep.
4/2/2009	Mommy wanted me to sleep in and then take a bath so Daddy stayed home with me until lunch. I actually slept until 8:30! I was feeling pretty good though so we played a bit and got groceries before he took me to school. My whole class cheered when I walked it and Mrs. Dreke gave me a big hug! We came home right after school and had a snack. Like normal, Callie and I don't get along very well until we have been together for an hour or so (which drives Mommy crazy I might add). After supper, Mommy and I had my soccer meeting to go to - we got our t-shirts and we are PINK this year! Daddy and Callie went to Barnes and Noble so she could get a gift card for Kathryn for her birthday party tomorrow night. Tomorrow is PJ day in my class so I am excited - we get to watch a movie and have popcorn and pop!
4/1/2009	Happy Birthday Jon!! I woke up coughing a lot around 6am and this woke up Callie too. So everyone got up and Mommy and Callie were ready to go around 7 so they went to Caribou for breakfast before school. Daddy stayed home with me today. I had a small fever this morning but then it never came back for the whole day. I took a really long nap after lunch and when Callie got home I actually felt like playing for awhile. I started getting crabby though and Mommy could tell I was tired again all ready. She had wanted to give me a bath but decided I could just stay home in the morning again for more rest and a bath and then MAYBE I can go to school after lunch. . . Mommy told me lots of my friends came and asked about me when she came to work today! I have been very worried I am going to miss our popcorn party on Friday and of course most importantly is my birthday party on Sunday!!
3/31/2009	Mommy and I stayed home today. I felt kind of good this morning so I played school while Mommy cleaned the basement. I ate a little lunch but then I was super tired and my fever spiked up again so I rested most of the afternoon while Mommy made ribbons for my dog party (we are going to have a dog show and each stuffed animal will get a ribbon!). We ate a quick supper and then Mommy took Callie to bsllet. I watched a bit of TV with Daddy but I started falling asleep on the couch so he put me to bed. He is going to stay home with me tomorrow and I really hope i can go back on Thursday!
3/30/2009	I woke up in the middle of the night and threw up - I told Mommy I had just drank a whole bunch of water when I got up so she thought maybe it was just too much, too fast or something. I had a fever again today so Mommy decided to call the doctor. Sure enough, I have Influenza A so I have to stay home at least tomorrow too and then after that it will just depend on my fever. I slept a lot today and Mommy did too. After supper, Mommy and Callie took Miley on a walk and then delivered a few more boxes of cookies. I was ready for bed when they got back so Mommy tucked me in.
3/29/2009	I slept in until almost 9 this morning and didn't have a fever when I woke up but by lunch time I did. I really HATE taking medicine of any kind and usually gag when I do so it is a long process. I insist on sipping it and even though it is only one teaspoon it will take me 15 minutes of sipping to get it all down - it drives Mommy nuts! She went out and bought me chewable tablets thinking they would be better but then I only nibbled it so it was just as bad - probably worse. I slept for awhile after lunch and then woke up and watched Callie and Daddy play games. Mommy wasn't feeling well today either so she slept for a bit but then she had to run errands. After supper I took a bath and then told Mommy I was ready for bed. I didn't have a fever again but Mommy said I should probably stay home tomorrow just to make sure.
3/28/2009	I woke up last night while Charlie and Gloria were still here and had a very high fever (104)! Mommy had me take some medicine and she laid with me for awhile. Then this morning, I slept until almost 10am! Mommy kept checking on me but I seemed ok so she let me sleep. Callie and I were signed up to do a crafts morning at a nearby church so Daddy took her (Mommy was bummed since she had been looking forward to an early lunch date with Daddy). Mommy and I watched TV and I even ate some breakfast. She went to pick up some more cookies from Michelle and then picked up Callie at 1:30 from the church. She had made lots of crafts, had two snacks, lunch, and sang songs - she really had fun there! I felt pretty good this afternoon so we played for awhile but then this evening my fever came back. Mommy was out shopping so Daddy gave me some more medicine and I was in bed around 7:30.
3/27/2009	We were all glad it was Friday today! Mommy gets to wear jeans on Fridays so she was happy too. We had another program today - the middle school orchestra, band, and show choir came to perform for us. Callie still wants to play the violin next year so Mommy paid special attention to the orchestra as they played! We had to go to Omnitech afterschool today so Callie could deliver cookies. Of course Daddy wasn't there (he is still working at a clients office and will be there until June) so it was strange being there without him! Charlie and Gloria came over around supper time today so we all went to Qdoba together. I was extremely tired and didn't even want to eat - I fell asleep on the way home so Mommy carried me to bed.
3/26/2009	Today is Robert Frost's birthday so we were supposed to wear our Robert Frost spirit wear or blue and white. Of course I don't have any spirit wear yet and I didn't like any of the blue and white clothes that Mommy set out for me so the morning didn't go so well! After school we had to get ready for our last Cookie Booth at the grocery store. Mommy packed up tables and cookies again and we met the other brownies there at 5pm. Daddy picked me up when he got off work and then we went and ate at Burger King. They sold 140 boxes during the two hours they were there but I guess it was SUPER cold and they were in between the automatic doors so the wind kept blowing in on them. Mommy said her toes were frozen by the time they came home.
3/25/2009	We had a neat program at school today - a band called the Crabgrass Crew performed! And Mommy realized the harmonica player was her and Daddy's dentist! I had Brooke over after school today - Callie had a lot of homework she was working on.
3/24/2009	Mommy helped with my literacy centers today. We have them on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and she really likes helping with them. I think that is one of her favorite parts of her job. Callie had ballet today and Mommy had a meeting at the Challenge Center School so Daddy had to give me a bath and then we had to pick up Callie in my pjs!
3/23/2009	Today Callie had Brownies afterschool. We painted trinket boxes and they wrote a letter to Abby's Brownie troop about all the things they learned at the Junior Girl Scout meeting they attended. Some of the girls brought their knitting to work on too! We headed home and when Daddy got there we used my book it certificate to go eat pizza. It started storming while we were inside so both Callie and I got scared and were anxious to get home.
3/22/2009	I played a game with Grandma this morning and then we all went out for brunch at Chevys. Callie was excited for her lunch date today - Alex had asked her to eat at McDonalds with him and his mom so they picked her up at noon. Not long after, Grandma and Grandpa left for the Bill Cosby show and then they were going to head home. I played Barbies and helped Mommy make my birthday invitations until Callie came home. We went shopping afterwards and then Daddy grilled again. I was very tired so I took my bath and was in bed before 7.
3/21/2009	We were very excited for Grandma and Grandpa to get here this morning! Mommy took Miley for a long run on her bike and after she got back, they came. Daddy went to get us all subs and then we played for awhile and went shopping. Grandma wanted to get us nice sandals for Easter so we went to Scheels to pick them out and then we went to Target so I could pick out my birthday gift early. I had told Mommy I wanted to get a big girl scooter since mine was still a three wheeled one so Grandma had said I could pick one of those out if I still wanted. I decided on a Barbie one and we came home after that so I could try it. It was super nice out today so it was fun being outside! Daddy grilled us supper and then later we all went out for ice cream.
3/20/2009	They had Callie's name with the two other winners of the Science Fair in the announcements today so Mrs. Dreke had my whole class clap for Callie. Callie's class celebrated Miss Foley's birthday today so Mommy was able to run down there for a bit to see them sing and eat cupcakes (although she was a bit late for the singing part). Leyton was K-Kid today and he brought his family AND his dog. Mommy had to laugh because his dog is just like Miley - he had way too much energy and got too excited being around the kids. He ended up barking a lot and choking himself to get to the kids and then kept trying to mouth/bite them when they were petting him. After school we only had a little time to play because then we had get to Sunshine to sell Girl Scout Cookies! The troop signed up to sell cookies by the doors of the grocery store so we had to carry tables, signs, and lots of boxes to the front of the store. Daddy picked me up as soon as he got off work and we went out to McDonalds and then played Wii when we got home. Callie said they sold over 100 boxes in the 2 hours they were there so they were excited! Mommy and Callie went to Dairy Queen after they were done and then it was time for bed by the time they got home.
3/19/2009	It was the science fair today so Mommy helped Callie carry in her board and all the nails. Then while I was at recess, she ran down to Callie's room to help Callie set up the project in the gym. She thinks it is pretty neat to work in the same school so she can do that sort of thing! After art class, we all walked through the science fair and Mrs. Dreke even pointed out my sister's project to everyone. We came home after school, had a quick supper while Mommy walked Miley, and then Daddy took Callie to the science fair. She had to be there at 6:30 and we came around 7 to walk around and look at all the exhibits. We left at 7:30 and then while I was in the shower, Callie called to tell us she WON! Mommy was so surprised and then she felt bad that we had left early so we didn't get to see her go up and get her ribbon. She didn't really think about Callie winning since there were a lot of fifth graders entered. There was a winner for K-2 and a winner for 3-5(Callie) and one open winner. Those three people get to take their projects to the pavillion in April with all the other elementary schools!
3/18/2009	Happy Birthday Uncle Tom! Callie had to work on her science fair poster board after school so I had Alisha over to play. After Daddy got home from work, we went to Red Lobster with Uncle Tom, Amber, and Jace to celebrate. It was late when we got home so I went right to bed but Callie still had a little bit to do on her project so she and Mommy were up for awhile finishing.
3/17/2009	Happy St. Patrick's Day! We all wore green to school today. Lucky came and left clues to find his treasure. Inside we found gold coins for all of us and litte baggies of a special treat that we had to add milk too. It was white powder but when we added milk it turned into green pudding! After school the Brownies were going to a different school to visit a Junior Girl Scout Troop so Amber came to pick me up so I could hang out with her and Jace instead. Mommy was going to arrange for me to go to a friend's house but I begged her to ask Jace first since I hadn't seen him in awhile! We went to Burger King for cookies and then to the park to play until Daddy came to pick me up. Mommy had made green jello for Brownies and brought green punch and shamrock cookies for a snack to share with the other troop. They made bracelets and then traded them with a new friend so they had a fun time at that meeting! Callie had ballet tonight so Daddy helped me shower while Mommy and Miley went on a bike ride.
3/16/2009	It was SOO nice today - almost 70! We didn't have to wear our coats outside to play so we had a great time out at recess. We have been getting notes from Lucky the Leprechaun and he said he is bringing us something special tomorrow so my class is very excited. Mommy took Miley on another bike ride tonight - a little bit longer this time. After we went to bed, she took her on a walk too since it was just so nice out.
3/15/2009	I asked Mommy what people look like that live on the other planets and she told me there aren't people living on them! I asked her what the heck they were there for then anyway, just a decoration? It was nice out again today so we played outside until Callie's playdate at 1. We dropped her off and then we went to Target. I took a paper and pen inside to make a list for Mommy and Daddy (for my birthday) and then we got groceries. Callie came home around 4 and Mommy took Miley on a bike ride - she is doing good so far on it. Daddy grilled steaks (and hot dogs for me) and then it was time for our baths. I watched part of my movie from last night before bed. Haley was sitting on my lap but I had to go to the bathroom and was mad when she got up and left instead of waiting for me to come back so I asked Mommy "why do people have cats anyway, since they never do what you want them to do?"!!
3/14/2009	Mommy cleaned this morning while Daddy took us to Sam's Club and then after lunch we all went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Callie saw quite a few of her friends there - one of them was even IN the parade! It was pretty nice out (although windy) so we played outside and Mommy tried out her bike. She even hooked up Miley to it and let her run beside it up and down the street. We went out for supper at Famous Daves and then came home to watch a movie and made popcorn in our new popper!
3/13/2009	Yippee - Friday! Mommy could wear jeans today so she was excited. Our class went to visit the fifth grade class to view their marble creations. They had to build all these tunnels for marbles to travel through - they were really neat. I was excited to see my buddy's creation - she even let me drop a marble down a tube. We came home after school and rode our scooters since it was kind of nice out and Mommy and Miley walked along with us. Once Daddy got home, we all went to our school for Pizza Bingo! The new principal that is starting next year was there for everyone to meet and she actually remembered Mommy! Mommy subbed at her school a few times so she came over and said hi. AND the most exciting thing was that we won THREE times! One bingo (Callie got that) and two raffle ticket wins. So we won a popcorn maker, a $25 gift card to Normans and a $25 gift card to Color Me Mine (the painting store)! Mommy was almost embarrassed to go up there the third time she said but we were very excited.
3/12/2009	Callie went to Titi's house after school so Mommy and I played games for awhile. Daddy got home and took us to Arbys while Mommy took Miley to the dog park. She has actually been doing pretty good with Mommy working every day. Daddy had darts so Mommy helped us shower and then it was time for bed.
3/11/2009	It was super cold again today so inside recess all day long - yuck. Mommy helped with literacy centers and then she was asked to help in another room for awhile. Lucky the leprechaun came to visit us last night - there were green footprints and glitter all over our room and he even left a note! Callie has been working hard on a children's story in her class - they had to type it and now they are illustrating it and then they are going to read it to kindergartners. I sure hope it is my class! I had Alisha over after school today and Callie tried to have Titi over but instead she is going over to her house tomorrow. After supper Mommy took Miley on a walk and then Daddy had to go to a meeting.
3/10/2009	We were ready quickly again and good thing because it was slick on the way to school. In fact, Mommy's windows iced over on the way there and she couldn't see anything! We had to go right inside because it was too cold. Mommy learned a lot of new things today so she had fun and she helped us with literacy centers and helped test some kids on their numbers including me. After school we came home and played with Miley. Daddy came home from lunch the last two days to play ball with her so she can get some running in. It was too cold to walk her tonight so Mommy said she will be crazy tomorrow! Callie had ballet tonight and while she was there, Daddy went and bought Mommy her new bike! Now she is very excited for spring.
3/9/2009	We got ready very quickly so Mommy was happy. She even got up early enough to walk Miley on a short walk before she got ready. Daddy made our lunches (even Mommys!) and then we went to school. Mommy walked with us to the playground and then she went inside to get started. I really liked having her in the classroom but I was very good about not bothering her and just acting like she was a teacher. She helps in the lunchroom while Callie's class is eating so she got to see her too! After school we had Brownies and today the girls learned how to knit. Mommy was really tired by the time we got home so thankfully Daddy grilled again so she didn't have to cook. Callie checked her science fair experiment - she is watching nails rust in different liquids!
3/8/2009	We babysat Reghan today! They brought her over at 11 and I wanted to play with her by myself so I kept getting mad at Callie. She is 2 1/2 and pretty much did everything I told her so I liked that kind of playmate! Callie worked on crafts with Mommy for awhile and then she and Daddy went grocery shopping. By the time they got back I was really done with Reghan - she was starting to annoy me and I didn't want to share anymore! Callie was happy to play with her then but she did tell Mommy that little kids are hard to play with because they get bored like in five minutes and want to play something else! Mommy said she forgot how big of a mess a 2 year old can make! Her uncle came to pick her up around 6 so then Daddy grilled and we went to bed but first we laid out clothes for tomorrow so everything goes smoothly on Mommy's first day of work.
3/7/2009	I went over to Alisha's at 11 while Mommy, Daddy, and Callie went shopping for spring clothes and a new bike for Mommy. They picked me up on the way to the play at 2 and Alisha came along too. It was Wizard of Oz - the one Callie saw on her fieldtrip - and it was at the high school BUT when we got there, it was already sold out. We were really sad but went home and played there until supper. Our friends, Don, Dawn, and Reghan, were in town so we went out for an early supper with them and then came home. Mommy said we had to get to bed early tonight because I woke up really early this morning AND we lose an hour of sleep tonight!
3/6/2009	Daddy took us to school this morning so Mommy could have a little extra time before she had to be there (which was at 8:15). It was FABULOUS FRIDAY today so we were very excited. Our whole day is just lots of fun activities. In kindergarten & first grade we just rotate through four rooms - I went to one about the zoo and they even brought animals for us to touch, one was making ice cream and we got to eat it too, one was about soccer, and the last one was about brass instruments. It was sure fun! The older kids only have two longer sessions and they get to pick which ones they want to go to. Some of them are field trips and some are just at school. Callie took floral arranging and making her own jumprope so Mommy volunteered in the floral arranging room. People from HyVee came to teach them all about it and then they came home with lots of pretty flowers! We got home at 1 and I went to Alisha's to play outside while Mommy and Callie took laptops outside to be on the computer in the sunshine!
3/5/2009	Today was crazy sock or slipper day. I was sort of stressed by it because I didn't think they would let us take our shoes off but Mommy kept insisting they would. Finally she told me to just pack both slippers and shoes and if I don't want to wear them I don't have to. She came to my class after lunch because we went to a play! It was called Dr. Seusical the musical and Mommy helped drive. It was supposed to be an hour but it was more like an hour and a half so we got really tired of sitting - it was mostly songs so it was hard to keep our attention but she thought we did a good job considring. She brought us home after school and then I went to Brooke's for a playdate. Callie and Mommy started making cardboard doghouses for my birthday party - it is only four weeks away and Mommy figures with her working it is going to get here quickly! After supper she had a girl scout leader meeting so Daddy stayed home from darts and helped us shower and put us to bed.
3/4/2009	Daddy took us to school today because Mommy comes to help in my class at 8:20. She helped with literacy centers again and when she got home the school called her to tell her she got the job! She starts on Monday! She came back to my class right after my lunch recess to read to me - it was hat day today. Oh and I forgot to tell you that Callie went to see Wizard of Oz yesterday (a play put on by the high schoolers) and tomorrow I am seeing a play by middle schoolers. We have all sorts of fun things going on this week! After Mommy read a book to us she went to the lunch room to visit with Callie and then she came home. We rode the bus home - only two more days of doing that and then we get to come home with Mommy! Tonight was our last night of swimming - yippee!
3/3/2009	Today was Green Day for Green Eggs and Ham since we are celebrating Dr. Seuss week and it is all about reading! Avery's mom brought in green eggs and ham for our snack but I thought it was icky. I told Mommy I even tried the ham but yucko I didn't like it. I had Alisha over after school and Callie had Titi over. After supper, Callie had ballet so Mommy took her there while Daddy and I played the Wii.
3/2/2009	Mommy picked us up from school today because she had an interview there right before we got out. She might get a job in my classroom as a helper for Mrs. Dreke!! She told me I would have to pretend I am not her mom and just a teacher if she gets it though and I told her I can do that.
3/1/2009	We were excited to play Animal Crossing this morning because starting in March butterflies and ladybugs start showing up and we found them! After lunch Daddy took us to the Pavillion while Mommy worked around home and then we all went out for supper. Daddy and Callie had to decide on a science project because the title had to be handed in tomorrow so they chose an experiment using different liquids to rust nails. This will be Callie's first time because last year she signed up but then she got Influenza and had to miss it.
2/28/2009	Daddy was up early for darts again so he was just leaving when we were waking up. We played and helped Mommy pick up this morning. The new American Girl catalog came in the mail so we looked through it and found new things we want to buy so we were trying to get Mommy to pay us for EVERYTHING we did today! She did pay us a few quarters for helping put laundry away and then I washed a few dishes in the sink while Callie unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. Later we were going to clean the playroom and told Mommy we thought she should pay us $30 for that! She told us to keep dreaming - we thought that was reasonable since that is how much we still need for our purchase but I guess she didn't agree. Daddy's team lost pretty quickly today so he was home early. They made tacos for supper and then after watching some TV together it was time for bed.
2/27/2009	Daddy had to be at his darts tournament right at 8am so even though he didn't have to work, he also didn't get to sleep in. We got home from school anxious to see him but he decided to go out after they finished playing so we just played at home instead. Mommy made us macaroni and cheese for supper and then Callie had to make a card for Madeline. We took her to her birthday party at 7 - it was at the ice rink where we had the Brownies get together. Madeline had invited the whole class plus Callie's teacher as well and they almost all came. Miss Foley even brought her boyfriend so the kids all met him. Mommy and I went home and played for awhile. Mommy had hoped to get me to bed early but Daddy still wasn't home so she figured it would be silly to put me to bed and then have to wake me to go get Callie at 9 so she let me stay up. We went to McDonalds for french fries and then we picked Callie up. She had a great time! When we got home Daddy was back but he was already asleep - Mommy said he apparently celebrated a little too much.
2/26/2009	Today we were hoping for a snowday but no luck. It had hardly snowed and was just a little icy out. Mommy took us to school and we had to wear our snowpants and boots again - but we didn't even end up with outside recess since it was so cold. Mommy picked us up right after school because Callie had a hair appointment with Mommy's hairstylist today. She got her hair washed first (something we haven't ever done before since we usually just go to Great Clips) and then she got her hair cut short! It looks really cute and she is very excited to show her friends tomorrow. Daddy didn't have darts tonight because tomorrow is the state tournament so he doesn't have to work.
2/25/2009	It was nice out again so we didn't have to wear snowpants or boots but tomorrow is supposed to snow so Mommy said to enjoy it while it lasts! Mommy helped in my class this morning - it was the first time ever. She is going to help with literacy centers every Wednesday from now on. My teacher reads with a few of us and she gets to walk around and supervise the rest of us - I was very good while she was there and just did my work like I was supposed to but I smiled big everytime Mommy walked by me! After school we played in the backyard until Uncle Tom called and asked if we wanted to go to the park with Jace. He and Amber picked us up around 4 and took us to there. I took Jace down a slide - he sure liked it! When we got back home Daddy said we should all eat at Cici's together so we did.
2/24/2009	I woke up not very happy today. First I started screaming for Mommy to come wake me up. When it was time to go, Mommy said I didn't have to wear boots (bad mistake). I started with my tennis shoes and decided the velcro wasn't tight enough, then my tie shoes had crooked tongues, my dress shoes felt funny - you get the idea. Finally I went back to my tennis shoes but I wasn't happy about it. It was super nice out today so Mommy cleaned the garage after school while we played outside. Mommy took Callie to ballet and walked Miley around that neighborhood so Daddy helped me shower and get ready for bed.
2/23/2009	Mommy took us to school today and then she worked on Brownies things. She bought totebags for all of them and stenciled on their names and troop number. At the meeting they all got to paint over their name and make fun designs. These will be for next year when they need to start bringing a book with them to meetings I guess. Everyone had to bring their cookie order forms back so when we got home Mommy had to total them all up and enter everything in the computer so she was busy all evening. Callie sold 148 boxes and the troop sold almost 1900 so Mommy was very excited for them!
2/22/2009	Mommy and I walked Miley together before lunch today and then after lunch it was time for the Brownies event at the college nearby. Mommy and Callie left early so she could round up all the girls as they came and Daddy and I went to a car show at the arena! They had some really fancy cars there so it was fun. Callie and her troop went swimming, had a snack, went to a yoga lesson, and then did aerobics! Mommy said it was tiring just watching them but they all had a lot of fun. We watched a movie when we got home (Dave) that was really funny and we ate subs on TV trays while we watched it. We had to take baths afterwards and then it was time for bed.
2/21/2009	Mommy woke up super early this morning to try and book a Princess breakfast at the castle again (in Disneyworld) but this time she wasn't as lucky. She booked us breakfast at Chef Mickey's instead which sounds fun too. It is in a fancy motel that the monorail goes right through the middle of! Callie slept in today so Mommy was happy about that. After lunch, we went to tour the Sanford's new Children's Hospital. It is a castle and has lots of neat treasure chests, kids' paintings, and very pretty rooms. Mommy went to a scrapbook night in Brandon with Dena (Kim arranged it all in a big building) so we ate early before she left and then Daddy put us to bed.
2/20/2009	We both were good enough to be in school today so Mommy could go shopping. First she had to take Miley to the vet though for a check-up and shots and she found out she has an ear infection! We rode the bus home and had a snack with Mommy then Callie had to wrap Lauryn's present. She was having a sleep-over birthday party but Callie doesn't know her very well and wasn't up to sleeping over so Mommy said she would pick her up at 9 instead. We went to eat supper at Camille's and then came home and played the Wii before bed. Daddy picked up Callie and she was quite glad to be home because she said the birthday girl wasn't being very nice and had went off to play on her computer by herself leaving the guests with nothing to do! Oh I forgot to tell you that at supper Mommy asked what I might be wanting for my birthday so I told her a cell phone. I guess that won't be happening by her reaction so then I asked for an IPod - hm don't think that is going to work either!
2/19/2009	Mommy cancelled her sub job for today so she could stay home with me. I was soo tired last night when I woke up sick that I didn't even remember it this morning. I told Mommy I was sure it was the cats who threw up, not me! I actually felt pretty good today so I guess the worst part was last night. Mommy and I colored, watched some TV, and even played a game - Callie wasn't able to do any of that she felt so sick - so I guess I lucked out! Daddy stayed home from darts tonight and we all went to bed early.
2/18/2009	Mommy subbed for Mrs. Davids today at the school she is at now (she used to be Callie's teacher). Daddy stayed home with Callie and she ate some breakfast and lunch so she was ok to go back to school at noon. We came home on the bus and Mommy was home right after us. We played for awhile and then it was time for supper. Callie didn't feel up to eating too much so Mommy decided it was best if she skipped swimming tonight just in case so just she and I went. I did super good at my glides and bobs and then I showered and got my pjs on. I was super tired and said I didn't even want my snack (something that should have clued Mommy in but didn't). I was fast asleep until 11:30 when I started throwing up in bed and all the way down the hall-it was the very first time I have ever thrown up so it was sort of scary! Mommy had been so tired she didn't even hear me so Daddy was yelling for her to help. They changed my clothes and bedding and put me to sleep in their room while they cleaned the carpet and started laundry. Amazingly Callie slept through all the commotion! I woke up again around 2:30 but this time Mommy was right next to me so she heard me.
2/17/2009	Callie woke up this morning with a stomach ache so Mommy let her stay home while Daddy took me to school. Around 9 Callie told Mom she was bored so Mommy was very annoyed that she stayed home but then 1/2 hour later, Callie threw up so Mommy felt bad. Callie was really sick the rest of the day - she felt to icky to even read or watch much TV. I played nicely in a different room when I got home from school and then I hung out with Daddy when he got home. Callie was feeling a little better by bedtime but she still hadn't eaten anything so I think Daddy is going to stay home with her tomorrow morning so Mommy can keep her sub job. OH and Daddy started working at DakotaCare today - usually he works in his office for different clients but they wanted him to work there instead (like last year). Brad works at that building so he will get to visit him AND he is closer to home so it is faster for him to get here too.
2/16/2009	We woke up and started fighting right away so Mommy knew it was going to be a long day. Luckily Kim called and invited us to the swingset store to play and have cupcakes to celebrate Matt and Megan turning 4! We had a lot of fun there and then we came home to eat a late lunch and you guessed it, started fighting again. Finally Mommy got us interested in painting so we stayed busy with that, then we played outside until 4 when Brooke called and invited me over. Mommy dropped me off and she and Callie played Wii Ski. Daddy took Callie to sell cookies to a few friends after work and then we ate supper and took baths to get ready for school tomorrow.
2/15/2009	We slept in a little bit but not too long because we had to go to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Ivey! They took us to Cracker Barrel and Mommy and Daddy went to Caribou for a coffee date. They headed back to Aberdeen not long after breakfast so Mommy and I laid down for a nap. After we woke up we ate lunch and went to see Bolt at the cheap theater! I forgot to tell you the other night when TiTi was over she told us how her family is giving up TV and the computer for lent. I didn't know what she was talking about so I asked Mommy if lent was for poor people - she thought that was pretty funny.
2/14/2009	Happy Valetine's Day! Callie and TiTi woke up around 7:30 and then Mommy made us heart pancakes with strawberries. She left around 10 and then Daddy gave us little Valentine's presents! Grandma and Grandpa Ivey had called last night and said they were coming to town today so they came over around lunch time and hung out. We went out for a late lunch at Red Lobster and then came back home to play with Jace and Amber. Grandpa and Daddy went and got chicken for a late supper and then I told Mommy I was ready for bed at 9:30 and Callie decided she was too.
2/13/2009	We went over to Dena's this morning and had fun playing with Gillian and Adam. Dena even made us lunch so we could stay longer. After we got home we had to help Mommy clean up so we could invite friends over to sleep over. Unfortuantely for me, I couldn't find anyone home but Callie had Titi over. Once Daddy got home we all went to Godfathers for pizza and he even gave us quarters to play a few games! We came home and I played Wii with Mommy and Daddy while the girls played a boardgame. I had to go to bed but they stayed up and stayed up and stayed up. It was midnight before they finally fell asleep! They were having a hard time sleeping on the floor so then they tried to squish in Callie's bed so Mommy told them to sleep in the guest bed instead and finally they fell asleep!
2/12/2009	Mommy had inservice for subs today so she was already gone when we woke up. Daddy stayed with us until 9 and he dropped us off at the high school Mommy was at. She skipped a couple of the seminars and then after lunch she had arranged a playdate for us so we could go to Lauren and Avery's house while she went to two more seminars. She really enjoyed it I guess! We went along to Avery's swimming lessons and I told Mommy I decided mine weren't so bad after all - she had to swim without being held!
2/11/2009	Today was our Valentines Parties! I delivered all my cards right when we got to school. Callie decorated a box yesterday in her class and I had made a bag in art class last week. Our parties were at the end of the day and Mommy helped in mine this time! She said it was the first party in four years she didn't have to plan so she enjoyed just showing up. We had five stations so we played games and ate a snack. Callie had crafts for her party and snacks too of course. After school we looked through all our candy and cards and then went to Dena's house to sell cookies. We played for a little bit with Adam and Gillian and then it was time to go home for supper and swimming lessons. Mommy let us stay up a little bit since we don't have school tomorrow!
2/10/2009	After school today Mommy dropped off Callie at Daddy's office so she could sell cookies and then we went to the library. We met for supper at Qdoba (can you tell our restaurant thing isn't working too well this month? Mommy said she just spent more in groceries last month so really she didn't know if she saved much anyway) After we ate Mommy had to go meet Mrs. Davids at her school and Daddy took Callie to ballet and then me home to shower. Mommy picked up Callie and then she went to bed too.
2/9/2009	Callie woke up early she was so excited to meet her student teacher today AND because it is conferences tonight. She told Mommy that she was getting invited to tour the Challenge Center to see if she would like to go to school there instead. It is quite an honor but Mommy really likes Robert Frost so I don't know what they will decide. After school we had Brownies - they worked on their scrapbooks while I colored. We went to the bookfair afterwards and Mommy let us each pick out a book for ourselves and one to donate to our teachers. Daddy met us at 5 and we had Callie's conference first. She is doing great of course and then they gave Mommy the invitation that Callie was so excited about. We went to mine second and Mrs. Dreke told Mommy how well I am reading and writing already! PTA has a hotdog supper during conferences so we ate there before heading home. We only had a little time to play and then it was time for bed already!
2/8/2009	Miley stole my donuts this morning so I wasn't very happy with her! We mostly played all day and then at suppertime Daddy made pizzas. Of course while he cooked the first one, he left the other one on the table and went downstairs. I bet you can guess what happened - Miley ate part of it! Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy were NOT happy with the dog at all. She has also decided she doesn't like the fireplace. We think she might see her reflection in it because she just growls and barks and sometimes runs away from it even! I was in bed before 7 since I was so tired today and Callie was in bed early too.
2/7/2009	We played all morning and then around lunchtime we walked to a few more neighbors' houses to sell cookies. Mommy took us to Alex's house after that but he wasn't home so then we went to eat a late lunch and while we were there a waitress noticed Callie's sash and asked if she was out selling cookies! She even told her she would buy some and another worker did too so she ended up selling 10 boxes while we ate there. Mommy said Callie just better start wearing her sash everywhere. Charlie and Gloria came over this evening so Mommy let us have a campout in her room. We set up our sleeping bags and read books in there until 9 and then we had to go to bed. They stayed up and played video games for a long time though!
2/6/2009	Mommy took us to school and then she had to go to the Girl Scout office to make sure everyone was registered to start selling cookies today - apparently a few girls didn't have the right papers signed so she had to get that all straightened out. She picked us up from school so Callie could sell to Miss Foley and then we went home for a snack. Afterwards we walked down our street and sold some cookies to our neighbors that were home and then we played on our scooters after that. Daddy came home from work and he took us to Cici's for dinner while Mommy met Kim for dinner and drinks. We also went to Jason's house afterwards so we could sell cookies to him and we played with Abby too.
2/5/2009	It was really nice out today! Callie didn't wear snowpants or boots at her recess but I still did. After we got home though we played outside all afternoon and only wore our sweatshirts. Daddy had darts again tonight and I was crabby so Mommy put me to bed before 7 and she and Callie had a nice evening together. I can count by 5s now all the way to 100!!
2/4/2009	Happy Birthday Daddy! Mommy helped in Callie's class today - she had to make copies for the teacher and she jammed the machine, then she went back to the class and they were gone so she had no idea what to do or where they went. Finally she found them and they came back so she could start giving the mulitplication quiz but then when it was Callie's turn Mommy was frustrated that Callie was taking so long and then Callie started crying. All in all it was a horrible day and Mommy felt like a terrible parent. She said she wasn't mad at Callie at all - all the kids really struggled with the test - but she was upset with herself for not working on flashcards with her more and the hallway was noisy and it wasn't a good place for a test like that anyway. She picked us up from school and talked to Callie about how sorry she was and everything was fine again. We picked out Daddy's cake at the store and then I went to Brooke's house to play. I got home a little before Daddy and then Uncle Tom and Amber came over with Jace so we could all eat subs and have cake together. It was a quick get together though because we had swimming at 7.
2/3/2009	It was very cold out today so we had inside recess again. I brought home a book I had to read Mommy and I read it to Callie too! At bedtime I often want to read instead of having Mommy reading to me. I think she might be sad thinking about how pretty soon I am going to read as good as Callie and her reading days will be over. We were kind of cranky after school today so Mommy was glad when Daddy got home - of course we had to eat supper fast because he had a make-up darts game tonight. She put us to bed and a few minutes later Callie came out to the living room asking Mom what day it was. Mommy said Tuesday and then Callie asked "Don't I usually have ballet on Tuesdays?" AAACKK! Mommy totally forgot to take Callie to ballet tonight - oops!
2/2/2009	I was excited to find out about the groundhog so Mommy had to look on the computer to find out but it was BAD news. After school Mommy said we could have a playdate so I had Alisha over and Callie tried a few friends but gave up and working on knitting with Mommy. They are going to knit in Brownies soon so Mommy is refreshing herself on how to do a few things!
2/1/2009	It is February - I was excited about Groundhog Day tomorrow until I found out that it wasn't a vacation day. I asked Mommy how in the world we would know what happened if we had to go to school? We played at home today and then got ready for the Superbowl. Daddy made mini hotdogs and nachos and Mommy made wraps. We had our 3-D glasses ready for the commercials and then after that we had to get ready for bed. OH I forgot to tell you that this afternoon Mommy happened to look outside to see what Miley was up to and she was in our neighbor's yard sniffing around! She jumped the fence I guess - we have some snowdrifts that are still fairly high and Mommy has been wondering if she would ever try it since it puts her pretty close and I guess she finally did. We got her to come home without a problem thankfully but Mommy isn't sure what to expect next time she lets her play outside.
1/31/2009	Callie made breakfast this morning from her cookbook - monkeybread. Of course it was just like Mommy's recipe except it said to use a Bundt pan and Mommy doesn't have one and that made Callie quite upset. Eventually she got over it and they turned out yummy! After lunch we went ice skating - it was super nice outside. We took Miley to the dog park afterwards - there were tons of dogs for her to play with and Callie & I had fun playing at the playground. Callie wanted to make supper too so she and Daddy went to the grocery store to get ingredients. She had picked out a pasta recipe where she had to stuff shells with a cheese mixture and then bake them. WELL she was really grossed out by the cottage cheese and she couldn't get herself to actually eat them. Mommy was impressed that I tried them - I probably ate more than Callie did. Mommy and Daddy sure liked her recipe though!
1/30/2009	It is Friday!! We got ready for school quickly and today Daddy took us because he had a breakfast meeting at HyVee which is very close to our school. After school Callie and I helped Mommy wrap Daddy's birthday presents - we decided to go out to eat tonight for his birthday and then we just wanted to give him his gifts too. On his real birthday we have swimming and it gets kind of late plus we were just excited! We met Daddy at Timberlodge and then we came back home and gave him his gifts. Callie had made a pinata out of a paperbag so we broke that open too!
1/29/2009	This morning Callie forgot to pack her shoes and her teacher let her call Mommy. Luckily Mommy's plan was to come work at the school anyway so she brought her shoes with and worked on bulletin boards all morning. She also talked with my teacher for awhile and is going to start helping with Literacy Centers once my student teacher leaves in February. I had Alisha over after school and Callie made Valentines. I was pretty crabby once Alisha left so I had to shower, eat supper, and go to bed early. Daddy had darts so then Mommy and Callie had some alone time.
1/28/2009	We overslept this morning! Callie forgot to set her alarm and Mommy didn't wake up (and Daddy was showering and appaerently didn't realize we were all sleeping). We usually get up at 6:45 but today we woke up at 7:15 and we have to leave by 7:35 so it was RUSH time - we ate breakfast in the car, but we made it! After school Mommy said we could have a playdate so I had Brooke over and Callie had TiTi over (her real name is Tiara but they call her TiTi). After supper it was time for swimming - I was tired and didn't want to go but Mommy reminded me that we had to. I did fine of course and Callie did too - she even tried diving again. It was our halfway point so we got our progress reports. We showered and put on pjs before heading home to bed.
1/27/2009	I started Guiding Reading today so I brought home my first book to read to Mommy! She was called in to sub at lunch time so she wasn't home when we got there but came soon after. She said she feels very fortunate that we are able to go to the school we do. She subbed at a school where most of the kids didn't have mittens, quite a few of them wore coats that looked like adult sized spring coats and the zippers didn't work so the kids just left them open and she felt very bad for them. Plus many didn't speak English very well and there was lots of behavior problems and she realized how unequal schools really are. We had to go pick up the truck around 5 (and it was fixed for real!) and then we met Daddy at Pizza Hut. I had my book it coupon to use for a free pizza and then Daddy and I took Callie to ballet while Mommy went to PTA.
1/26/2009	Mommy was supposed to sub at our school this afternoon so she was very excited but it ended up getting cancelled. She met us for Brownies afterwards and we made butterflies for our craft. Afterwards they talked about how they will be flying up to Junior GirlScouts at the end of the year so they looked at the new vests they get and talked about the new patches they will start having to earn. Mommy even showed them her old Junior GirlScout sash and patches! The parents came at 4 and Mommy had a cookie meeting for them since next Friday they get to start selling cookies! Afterwards Mommy showed us to neat blue PT Crusier that she has while her truck is being fixed (hopefully the correct way this time!).
1/24/2009	Of course we didn't sleep in so Mommy made us yummy cinnamin muffins for breakfast. She decided it was time for us to clean our playroom - yuck! But we helped and then played. She thought I was too cranky and made me nap after lunch - I was NOT happy but I fell asleep very quickly once I laid down. Daddy and Callie went to the store because Callie wanted to buy Apples to Apples Jr with the last of her Christmas money and then we played it when I woke up. While we were eating supper, Alisha called and asked me to sleep over so I quick ate, packed, and waited for them to get me! Mommy, Daddy, and Callie hung out at home to play Animal Crossing (on the Wii) and they visited Gillian and Adam's town (because they have the game too!).
1/23/2009	We were tired this morning but we were all up and ready on time! I forgot to tell you that last night my buddy was skating and I was so excited because she waved at me. She is a fifth grader (with a section of pink hair that i think is cool) and she reads to me and sometimes helps in the computer lab. We started literacy centers in class today and it is all working with reading - pretty soon my group will be doing guided reading with my teacher! Mommy can't get over how well I am reading already! After school Callie and I played because Mommy was busy cleaning the house and then it was time for me to go to Avery's birthday party! It was at her house so Daddy took me and I had pizza there for supper. We also played and watched a Hannah Montana show together! Mommy and Callie had gotten a table at Olive Garden and waited for Daddy to meet them. They ate and went shopping and then Mommy picked me up at 9 - it was quite late!! TRIVIA FACT for you: Mommy and Daddy started going out 19 years ago today!
1/22/2009	Mommy waited for me by my classroom today because we had a Brownies field trip. My teacher told her that I got my pants all wet and muddy outside and when she asked me what happened I almost started crying. Mommy said that my snowpants are kind of short but she was hoping to not have to buy new ones until next year so that is probably why (because it was just the bottoms). I seemed ok with it though by then so that was good since we didn't even go home until bedtime! Our field trip was to the mall - they were having a Volunteer Festival and we went to the booth that was making Valentines for the kids at the Children's Care Hospital and the Meals on Wheels clients. We also got to walk around the other booths and get lots of free things like magnets, candy, and pens! After we dropped the girls off back at school we met Daddy at a sub shop. After a quick supper he went to darts and we went to the Roller Skating Party for our school! It was really fun and Mommy can't believe how good I skate. THe other kindergartners spent the whole time in the training rink but I just went around and around and half the time I didn't even want Mommy to hold my hand! Callie did really good this time too - she was skating with all her friends and even her teacher for awhile! We were both very tired when we got home though.
1/21/2009	Mommy helped in Callie's class today - she helped a new student who just moved and his old school hadn't even started cursive OR mulitplication so they worked on that for a long time. She also gave Callie and a few of her friends their spelling test. We rode the bus home and had time to play before Daddy got home. Then it was time to go to swimming lessons. We showered there afterwards and put our pjs on before heading home and then it was right to bed.
1/20/2009	Mommy got called to sub this morning - kind of later than normal so she had to hurry! Daddy asked us to be really big and help out by getting ready ourselves and to do it quickly. Thankfully Mommy left on time and so did we. She subbed second grade and was excited to find out after reading the lesson plans that they were going to watch the Inaugeration so she got to watch it too! We even did at our school - Callie watched more than me but I saw the huge crowd of people and Obama get ready to say his oath. We had to walk down to lunch though so I told Mommy he hadn't put his hand on the bible yet. She beat us home today so we were really surprised to see her there! We had Alisha over today but first all three of us had to go with Mommy to the dog park because Miley is so crazy with energy when Mommy subs all day. It was a super nice day so we played on the park equipment while Miley ran with tons of other dogs! We headed home around 4 so we could play until Alisha's mom came and then Daddy grilled steaks on our new grill. Mommy had to take Callie to ballet but I stayed and hung out with Daddy.
1/19/2009	Daddy had to work today so we wanted to know if we could have a playdate! After lunch we called Lauren and Avery over and we had a lot of fun doing crafts and playing outside. They went home around 4:30 and then Daddy was home for supper! Back to school tomorrow so we had to get to bed early.
1/18/2009	We slept in a little bit today since we were up late last night so Mommy was happy about that! After breakfast we all had to play the Wii because we are totally addicted to Animal Crossing and on Sundays the turnip lady comes so we all had to take turns logging on and visiting with her. After lunch we went to the sledding hill! It was pretty nice out and we really zoomed down fast. Of course the walk back up is really tiring and I kept falling down because it was so steep and icy. After awhile we were tired out so we headed home to play in the snow while Mommy walked Miley. Daddy made us hot chocolate when we came inside and then we started watching a movie. We took a break for supper - Daddy grilled salmon (we have an indoor grill now so he is having fun using that!) and then we finished our movie before going to bed.
1/17/2009	Callie and I made a barbie house and played Barbies for a long time! Uncle Tom brought Jace over in the afternoon and so we had fun playing with him for awhile and then we went to Sam's Club with them too (well Mommy stayed home to get some things done). After they left Mommy and I took Miley to the dog park and then we came home to wait for Charlie and Gloria. We went out for supper with them (oops we broke our once a week rule!!) and then we went to a hockey game together. I fell asleep on the way home and Callie went to bed right away too but the grown-ups stayed up for awhile!
1/16/2009	Happy Birthday Grandma Ivey! Today was my big Alphabet Party so I was excited and Mommy was too because she was going to help ALL afternoon! She came at 12 and first we had alphabet stations - she was in charge of the stamping station. We stamped our name on paper! We also had alphabet bingo station, alphabet bean bag toss, and others. After that we had recess so Mommy helped the teacher start setting up our feast - all our snacks were placed on a big table in alphabetical order. When we came in more parents started coming and they helped all the kids in their costumes and then we lined up for pictures and the parade. We walked through all the hallways and the kids were lined up by their classrooms to watch us so I saw Callie! We came back to our room for our big feast. I brought Star shaped jello jigglers for S. There were apple slices, bread, crackers, donut holes, quesidillas, V-8 juice, yogurt, and zebra cakes among many many others! Then it was time to get ready to go home so we picked up Callie at her class after I was all packed up. It was sure a fun day (although Mommy says I didn't smile very much but I guess that is because I get shy so I always look like I am mad). Callie and I played and then Mommy made us supper - Daddy went out with friends so Mommy tucked us in at bedtime too. Callie was crying because she missed Daddy and wanted to stay up and say good night (even though she called him already to say good night) so I guess she must be tired. Of course she was up EARLY, before Mommy even, and dressed and packed her own lunchbox as a surprise so I guess that is why!
1/15/2009	Happy Birthday Great Grandpa Anglin! The tooth fairy came last night!! My permanent tooth was already coming in behind my other tooth so it won't be long and you won't even be able to tell I lost a tooth (this was second one - the first permenent tooth came right in too so I didn't have a space for long that time either!). I took a squirrel today and of course my S poster to show the class. I went to Alisha's after school while Mommy and Callie went shopping and then they picked me up and we met Daddy at Cici's for Robert Frost Night. His darts ended up being cancelled so we played the Wii instead!
1/14/2009	I took my kangaroo for show-n-tell today! Mommy subbed again today but we didn't know she got called in so we rang the doorbell a few times before we realized she wasn't at home. We got in ok and she was home a few minutes after us. I had to do my homework after my snack! I made a poster with lots of things cut out of magazines that started with my letter (S)! Callie had some math homework and then we played until supper. And FINALLY while I was playing my tooth fell out! It has been very very loose for a few days now but I refused to try and pull it - even though it was sticking up so far that it appeared it wasn't even connected to anything. I just kept pushing it down but today it fell out while I was talking! We had swimming lessons again and Mommy was very proud of how well we did! It was super cold out so after we showered Mommy had to blow dry our hair and we put on warm jammies and then ran to the car. We had our snack on the way home so we just had to brush teeth and go to bed once we got there.
1/13/2009	Today we reviewed the next five letters so I took Garfield for my show-n-tell. Callie and I wanted a playdate after school so I called and invited Brooke over and then the phone rang and Lauren invited Callie over (well me too but I couldn't go since Brooke was coming over). Brooke and I played with our dolls and I was very unhappy when 5:00 came. Mommy and Daddy made supper and then Daddy and I played Wii while Mommy took Callie to ballet.
1/12/2009	This week is alphabet week! We are reviewing all our letters and each day we can bring a show-n-tell with something that begins with those letters. AND then on Friday we get to dress up as our letter and bring a snack that start with our letter for our Alphabet Parade and Feast! Today we reviewed A-E so I took my dronkey. Mommy subbed today so I remembered to just go right to the art room for Brownies and she came just as we were finishing our snack. They worked on a science patch today and did three different experiments! One was making glop - it was sure slimy but we had fun playing with it.
1/11/2009	After lunch we went shopping today at Sam's Club and then we stopped by Uncle Tom's to visit. Amber was out but we had fun seeing Jace and all his toys. Of course he doesn't quite play the same way we do so he kept interrupting! Callie is used to this type of thing (from me) but this is new to me and I am not sure I like it! He did give us LOTS of cute hugs though. We headed home so Mommy could take Miley to the dog park and we played until supper. Then it was time for baths to get ready for the school week!
1/10/2009	Camille's mom brought Callie home around 10 - she had a lot of fun. Of course she was tired so we were fighting about lots of things but finally we started playing school. Daddy was already gone for his darts tournament so we were by ourselves for the day. He got home around 4 but said they lost so they don't have to go back tomorrow. Tonight was our night to eat out for the week so we went to Ruby Tuesday because Mommy had a coupon - she is sure getting into this saving money thing. But it is a good thing because they told us WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!! Not until May, but we are excited (and a little nervous about going on a plane again).
1/9/2009	Callie was very excited because she was going to sleep over at Camille's house today. As soon as we got home from school she packed her bag and we dropped her off. I wanted a playdate too of course but Mommy convinced me to go to a store with her so she could get some scrapbook things. I decided I wanted to scrapbook with her so we picked out some glitter and stickers and when we got home she gave me a small book she had gotten a long time ago. I had SO much fun - she printed out a few kindergarten pictures of me at our class parties and field trips. I asked her how to spell lots of words and I wrote about everything. Daddy had a darts tournament tonight so he just stopped after work to change and he left again so we had the whole night to ourselves!
1/8/2009	Mommy had to cancel her sub job today - she was feeling a little better but didn't think it would be good to be around little kids with her sick germs! We got our hair cut today and played until supper. Daddy had darts so Mommy helped us with showers and bedtime.
1/7/2009	Mommy didn't feel good when she woke up and sure enough after dropping us off at school she knew she had the flu. We were very good when we got home and played (without fighting!) so she could keep resting. Callie went to her first ULE class today so she was excited about that! I told Mommy that a boy drew me some pictures and one has hearts on it so I think he likes me but I told her we are JUST friends. Daddy came home and made us supper and then it was time for our first swimming lesson. I had fun and so did Callie although she was surprised to find out she had to dive on the first day - something Mommy had told her they probably wouldn't do until after a few lessons - oops! Daddy said she did just fine though for her first time. It was very late by the time we had our snack and went to bed!
1/6/2009	We were both very tired when the alarm went off but we did ok getting ready. Mommy had to run inside the school to hang posters for our Librarian's birthday and to deliver a gift card from the PTA. She went shopping today and took Miley to the dog park because it was really really nice out! We were very cranky when we got home and fought about everything so Mommy knew it had to be early early bedtimes for us. Mommy made supper and then I was in bed by 7:00 and asleep instantly before Callie even got home from ballet. Callie stayed up a little later. Grandma Ivey had surgery on her knee today and we found out it all went well!
1/5/2009	Callie and I both woke up fine and had no problems going to school. Mommy was disappointed she didn't get called to sub so she stayed home and worked on photos. When we got home we really wanted a playdate - I had Alisha over and Callie had Lauren over. Mommy had supper all ready by the time they went home so we ate and then took showers. It was still close to 8 by the time we got to bed so Mommy is worried about tomorrow.
1/4/2009	Daddy had the stomach flu today so he just stayed in bed. Callie made another new recipe from her cookbook for breakfast. Cinnamon rolls - using marshmallows! And they were really good! I had a birthday party to go to after lunch at the Pizza Ranch in Brandon. Mommy took me and then went shopping but Callie decided to stay home. We had to get to bed early tonight because tomorrow we have to go back to school! Callie is actually excited - I am not so much.
1/3/2009	We slept in for awhile and then we all had to play the Wii of course! After lunch Mommy and Callie were going to scrapbook and I was going to make a craft but then Brooke called and invited me over. Daddy took me over and boy was it icy out! Not too long after he got home, Alex called and invited Callie over so it turned out that Mommy scrapbooked alone. They picked us both up around 4 and we picked up some eggs at the store to come home and make omelets. Mommy had thought there was a Marley movie on around 5:30 so we ate super early but then we found out it started at 4:45 so we missed it and the 7:30 one would be too late so maybe tomorrow. We worked on our scrapbooks after our early supper and then went to bed early tonight.
1/2/2009	Daddy had to go back to work today. We picked up this morning and then after lunch Mommy said we could have a playdate. We had a hard time finding anyone around but finally a new friend of mine, Avery, could come over. She is in my class but her mom is the other kindergarten teacher at our school! Callie never found anyone so she played with us for a bit and then she tried to learn how to crochet. When Daddy came home he said Uncle Tom called and wanted to eat supper with us and hang out. Our family resolution is to not eat out very much so we had to decide if we wanted to use up one of our days already - well of course we did! We went to Fudruckers and then they came over here and played the Wii. It was a late night for us again - Mommy is afraid our school schedule is going to be hard for us to get back into!
1/1/2009	Happy New Year!! We all slept in until 8:30 or later but we decided to be lazy and stay in our PJs all day. Mommy took all our Christmas decorations down and I was a big help. Callie and Daddy even pitched in for awhile when we did the tree so we had it all done before supper. Daddy made supper then - he was excited that Mommy had dug the fryer out when Callie made donuts so he went and bought shrimp and mozzerella sticks to fry up. Mommy said we had to go to bed early tonight so we can start getting back on our normal schedule before school starts. Of course her early and our actual early ended up still being 8:30 but I guess that is a good start.
